Lets squash this thread now. Nate Clements had a good game yesterday. He did everything we asked of him and gave up very little in what was a dominant total D performance. Let's not let our feelings about his contract situation get in the way of his performance on the field.

What impressed me was JPs reaction to the Blitz series in the 3rd. OK we didn't score, but JP recognised the Blitz early, and got the ball off to his safety valve (Josh Reed) quickly and accurately. Good job JP.

For me it was all those punts of Moorman. He just killed them for field position all day. The last punt downed inside the ten, afetr bouncing at the 1 was the sucker punch.

I'm not going to get all excited about what was a pretty dull game. It was a horrible spectacle - especially as I was trying to showcase by Bills to a friend who will be with me in Buffalo in December... But - as a football guy I loved the game. Defence and special teams was awesome to watch, but there is still room to improve. The offence was dull dull dull - but OK, we can work with that, and I am sure they'll get better. But one guy stood out. Moorman - boom! goes the punt and virtually every one gets the right bounce, distance and direction. Outstanding. That was a game of field position, neither offence could make it happen, and Moorman dominated that game. Without that superb effort, and Lindell's sure foot, we'd not be looking at 1-1 IMHO. So Brian Moorman - YOU are my player of the week.

I re-registered on the 'new' Stadium Wall on 9/11 to check in on people and keep up to daye with the news. My date of registration is a spooky reminder of how connected TBD makes me feel to people I have often never met, or spoken to.

Yup still playing guard! And yeah - same day as the home opener - but I'll not be home in time to watch - our game kicks off at 4pm UK time, and will not finish until about 7pm... so that means I won't be done with showering, changing and getting the bus home and then actually getting home until maybe 1 in the moring or later... I will definately miss the home opener - just have to catch it on replay! I missed yesterday's game too - but have it downloaded to watch tonight. Who cares tho?? I'm going to the SHOW!

For those of you who notice these things, I have been quiet about my team, London Blitz, lately. That's because we've been on a roll and doing really well - and I don't want to curse it. Just to let y'all know that we travelled 600+ miles at the weekend from London to Newcastle to play the National Division 1 Semi Final game against Gateshead Senators. We finish our season against the team we beat in Game 1: against the reigning champions and cross-town rivals, London Olympians. 24 September - Britbowl XX featuring my London Blitz! Now all I have to do is get my damn ankle healed ( i rolled it in the semi ) and get ready to play thge first National Championship of my life!

I'm planning on LOTS of Chippewa St action - of course I won't give him Genny Cream. I made the mistake of trying it myself last time. YUK I hear that a load of bars/clubs on Chippewa do $2 beers.. true?
