  1. We tried having a great opeing last season and look where it got us! No more 31-0 openers for us. Hard fought ground battles is what we need. OH and the occasional punt on 1st down...
  2. Of those last 8 games - I think NE, Sea and Cincy are the only teams at this stage of the year I think we would lose against. @Mia and @SF should not pose a problem for this team if it winds up as Mark IV and I expect them to. I expect us to go 5-3 down the stretch - so 5-3 or even 4-4 is fine for the start of the season. Ideally - for the sanity of those of us at TSW - the Bills will scrape by in a low scoring contest this Sunday. I'd be happy for Drew to come out of the blocks slowly and for us to win a Defencive battle. That way we have a W in the bag and the O has some breathing room to say - OK - we played the opener, how do we improve? What went well? Where did we suck? It also gives the OL a chance to finally play a full game as a starting unit and bed themselves in. The Jags played some good D in preseason - so thats how i think it will shake out.
  3. That's hilarious. Us corporate comms types to get our knickers in a bunch often about the most stupid things....
  4. I've stayed at the Hyatt downtown... was decent enough and within walking (staggering?) distance of the bars downtown...
  5. Nothing short of two superbowl rings I am sad to say. At least one of them should come this year tho!!!
  6. I think the fins could be invited to play in Tennessee... I know that means they have to play one more road game - but screw those fishie bastards. I hope they Rosen and burn this season... (apart from when they play the Jets and Patsies).
  7. Wayy too funny... That man knows how to hate Miami. But he is wrong about one thing. Being a Bills fan is not just about hope - it's about hating the Dolphins too. And I am not sure which is the more important trait...
  8. Your team is one dimensional. I would have taken an HDTV show in the higher rounds.
  9. i think its the same as it always was - check the TBD main page
  10. well don't hold back - that's what PMs are for!!
  11. Cool - i'll see u in the chat room - anyone know ehere to get a free feed?? I think the draft went OK. It wasn't the best cos 5 people were on auto select with really crappy rabkings - so that threw me out a little... for everyone else.... my draft went like this (9th pick/14): 9 White Cream Bourbons Clinton Portis (RB WAS) 16 White Cream Bourbons Corey Dillon (RB NE) 33 White Cream Bourbons Steve McNair (QB TEN) 40 White Cream Bourbons Charles Rogers (WR DET) 57 White Cream Bourbons Kellen Winslow (TE CLE) 64 White Cream Bourbons Eric Moulds (WR BUF) 81 White Cream Bourbons Drew Bledsoe (QB BUF) 88 White Cream Bourbons Quentin Griffin (RB DEN) 105 White Cream Bourbons DST Chiefs (DST KC) 112 White Cream Bourbons Roy Williams (WR DET) 129 White Cream Bourbons Morten Andersen (K KC) 136 White Cream Bourbons David Givens (WR NE) 153 White Cream Bourbons DST Browns (DST CLE) 160 White Cream Bourbons Ben Troupe (TE TEN)
  12. Anyone be in the chat room for the game tonight? My wife is away in france for a few days - so i have a license to stay up late and listen to the bills game online!! that and surf for free porn...
  13. TMQ is available on NFL.com... It always bugs me to read about Marv and his failure to win a Superbowl. He/We really deserved to win it - he owned every other coach in the regular season and yet mystically couldn't get in done in the big show. It's upsetting...
  14. LOL Lori - you da man! If you pardon the expression... So-Cal... back down buddy - this is one argument you just cannot win... The starting unit will not play together... until they start on the first week of the season. There's little to assess and extrapolate into a season prediction at this stage. Don't forget there is still 1 preseason game to go... so stuff can get worked out.. Chill mate. B)
  15. #5 pick leave you with at least another 5 top tier RBs to pick from. I would definately have taken a risk on Jamal Lewis at #5, but the sensible pick would have been Portis. If you had to go with a QB at 5 Peyton is the obvious choice - I would only have considered McNabb as an alternative. Travis makes a good fantasy backup this year with the injury and fumble history and the potential emergence of Willis in Goalline situations. I would not rely on him to make #1 RB fantasy numbers this year. The rest of your picks look solid to me from Booker up to Coles. I think you'll see average performance from Griffen - enough to be your #2 back and Burress was a steal that low down. The rest are backup fodder. I'd expect an early playoff loss....
  16. So in summary: In order for our #2 QB and our QB of the future to attend VITAL team meetings (yet not practise) this season we need to place them on the 'active' PUP list. I don't believe anyone could argue against this methodology as JP clearly needs the mental reps this season and Travis Brown is clearly a benefit to Drew as an extra pair of eyes who know the team and the playbook. Matthews limp arm is a great stop gap until one of our boys is healthy ernought to practise and play - presumably this is sometime in the next 4-6 weeks (max 9 weeks). We can easily afford to lose one of our backup LBs RBs DBs or TEs to accommodate 4 QBs for 8 weeks max. When we cut Matthews later we can bring in another journeyman from FA or upgrade someone from the practise squad to make up for the guy we cut. It's not a big deal.
  17. PM me - or post a link to a link - either way,,, gimme the link!!
  18. Genre should be 'folk'. Pisses me off when they list Beth as dance/electronic - she's influenced, sure - but all of that is influencing a sound that is predominantly folk music. Great song tho! I love 'er
  19. I say he looks shabby - because every goddamn report i read online says he's ineffective. His his numbers look poor on the stats in comparison to other QBs. Its good to hear he's not the problem - but still - us faraway fans need to see something to impress us soon.
  20. OK so i just woke up and saw the news. My first reaction was.... billsfanone The loss of Travis Brown and Losman really hurts us now. Drew continues to look shabby in preseason - any more reports of his ineffectiveness and I might scream. Losing Milloy isn't too bad - but Wire's missed out on SS reps in camp - and that hurts us. The OL isn't hurt too much - but do they know how to block??? billsfanone I tell ya - another 3 years of rebuilding around losman
