  1. I don;t blame Incognito for trying to get the best deal for himself. This is likely his last shot at a good contract and he played well enough this past year to get one. I blame the Bills for being in a Cap position that does not allow them to retain a key member of the O-Line. I want Richie back, but I don;t blame himm for seeking the best deal he can get and if that's not with Buffalo, then so be it.

  2. So take out everyone who isn't a QB and you have Steve Young who played in a different era. Players now are groomed to play their positions through drugs and specialized training.

I don't understand why you put in all these superfluous players who don't play QB and ignore...Russel Wilson..or like Drew Brees.

Bottom line is that we do not have enough information to know if Taylor can't play a 16 game season. He has only tried once to do so and was hurt. It was also his first season that he actually played full time. Let's see how he learns from last season and if he better protects himself while still being mobile in this coming season. Russell Wilson has certainly learned that and there is no evidence that Taylor can't. Just my opinion.

  3. Doug has a dream job this spring/summer. Think of all the options and potential moves this man can make

I think somewhere in there...you'll see a surprise move, not so much in the way of a releasing but more in somebody willing to take a big cut to stay on the Bills.

Over the years Whaley has transformed this team into an up-and-comer. Now you have owners who treat the players very well and that word spreads quickly.

Doug has a good image and vibe to fall back on. Remember the days when nobody wanted to come here?? I'm willing to bet if Mario doesn't take a serious reduction in pay there will be 5 or 6 capable vets waiting at the door.

I still to this day can't get over folks who were hurt over the fred jackson thing. The guy was 34 years old...didn't contribute in any significant way to the team he went to and that's now a position of strength for the Bills.

The man knows what he's doing. Others like spiller, kiko and byrd were also excellent moves in terms of letting them go with their inflated salaries.

This offseason has to be the final touch in getting this team over the hump and back into the playoffs. And not just for a year or two, but many years. He's built up a nice core, I'm really hoping he just resigns the current talent that deserves it and makes a few moves in the draft to acquire more picks and further build the talent pool.

There will likely be two big name additions in FA as well

I have no big issues with his moves. I am not sure the move up in the draft for Watkins was a good move. That is not a knock on Watkins who is a legit #1 guy, but there were multiple #1 wideouts available to the Bills if they stayed where they were.

Tough to say what moves we make this offseason, but I hope retaining some of our own and cutting Mario are near the top of the list.

  4. Who is a bigger penalty problem? I know many on the board wanted Burflict. He certainly has talent but is he a more problematic version of Hughes relative to penalties?

    http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000621200/article/vontaze-burfict-suspended-three-games-will-appeal

Hughes makes some mistakes, but he, at many times this year, was the best defensive player on the field for the Bills and his personal foul penalties were down by the end of the year. His personal foul penalties when he got them were errors in enthusiasm. Burfict is a DIRTY Player and he doesn't get it that he hurts his team with his dirty play. Burfict is a big problem.

  5. I like the idea and here are my reasons:

    1. His best offense is the same offense the Bills run with Tyrod.

    2. Like Tyrod, he throws a nice deep ball - his short & intermediate passing needs some work.

    3. RG III was a back-up and only active for 1 game this year (no snaps). If he was going to cause a problem as a back-up, he would have this year. Sure, RG III would like to start (I don't want a QB on the roster would doesn't want to), but I believe he will accept a back-up.

    4. RG III has made good money in the league so far which makes me believe he is not looking for a big payday right now.

    Just my opinion.

Well, yeah. But there's a circus coming with RG3 wherever he goes. Teams have to weigh that distraction against what he might bring. If he's been humbled by what's transpired in Washington then he could have some real upside. If not, then he's not going to help anyone.

That was true in years past with RG III -- There was none of that in Washington this year.

  6. I think the bigger issues are sustaining drives. That's on Tyrod as a short/intermediate passer and on situationally aware play calling.

It's really nice to have the deep ball but, for the most part, the NFL is still a short/intermediate game. It might be boring but clock control is the object of the Roman attack.

I'd rather have Tyrod than not. Good first year, must get better. Have to remember that development isn't a given in the NFL but he seems to have the drive to get better. I wouldn't bet against him.

Tyrod did show that he is improving in this area if you look at the Jets game. It's the best I had seen him look throwing intermediate passes.

  7. He's toast & has been quite a while according to Chris Cooley the old TE from Washington.

I've heard Cooley say that, but I think he is referring more to the Redskin situation and their current offense. The Skins could not afford to play him this year because if he went in and got hurt, they would be on the Hook for $16 million on the cap next year. That is a big a reason as any that he was not active this year. A change of teams may be just what he needs.

  8. Here are my thoughts. RGIII will be released by the Redskins this off season. The has alot of the same skills as Taylor does so we could run the same offense as we do with Taylor and I think we could get him on the cheap. I'd like the Bills to give him a look. I doubt anyone is going to give him a serious look as a starting QB so he may be willing to sign on as a back-up. Just my 2 cents.

  9. I think he is a solid receiver, its a shame Percy H did now work out because Woods would have really been able to shine. With that said, you need depth at the receiver position so a 2nd or 3rd would not be an issue. However there are many needs on this team, i am not sure a WR warrants a 2nd or 3rd round pick.

I think Woods is a good #3 and looked good when Harvin and Watkins were on the field. Any chance that Harvin comes back next year. The Bills can't spend much money on Harvin if he wants to play (too much chance of injury), but when he plays too his potential, he can tilt the field
