  1.

One area we need to improve next year is our group of WRs as a whole. Yes, we have some talent, but we are not nearly talented enough after Sammy and Woods (I know some debate Woods' talent, I feel he is a solid 2 or 3 who should be on the field a lot and utilized more).

I think good Wideouts and a decent O-Line can really make a QB. Look what Marshall & Decker did for Fitzpatrick this year. That said, I'd rather find an experienced receiver who has shown they can catch and run routes rather than draft one in the 1st round who may or may not be able to do those things. The Bills have already invested two 1st rounders to get Watkins so no more at that position.

  2. Darby could go. I would have said Richie I as well, but then he has regressed the last two games so I'm not so sure any more. I'd say possibly Shady as well (folks won;t like that).

Probably Tyrod? I mean - Brady wont play, Dalton probably won't. Big Ben and Rivers probably won't want to play. Gotta play someone, why not tyrod?

The question was "earned" as spot. T-mobile has not earned a spot amongst the elite - yet. Maybe next year.

  3. I think Urbik's salary is reasonable for what he is asked to be. A decent veteran back-up interior lineman. I thought he actually held his own pretty well this year, IMO. I think he is worth keeping around.

I agree - Urbik is valuable as a back-up -- can play both guard & center. Tough choice on Lawson - if we keep the same scheme, then keep him, else wise drop him. the other mentions -- don't let the door hit you where the the good lord split you.

  4. I enjoy your assessments and agree with most of them, but I am not yet sure about Taylor. One thing today confused me and you can't tell looking at a local broadcast so maybe someone else knows. It looked like the Skins were in a zone a good part of the day and I can't figure out why our wideouts can't find the holes in the zone. Is it that they do find holes and Taylor doesn't see it or doesn't have the confidence to drill it into a tight hole or is it that they don't find the holes.

My gut feel is that Taylor does not yet have the confidence to drill it into a tight space. That said, in essence this is his rookie season from a playing standpoint so he may just need some time and coaching.

One other thing -- to me the defense quit today with the exception of Hughes, McKelvin was as bad as it gets and as usual lately, Mario was no where to be found.

  5. That's a big HECK No (cleaned up for the board). At best he starts 12 games a year so why bring in a guy who you know won't play a complete season.

If I was going to bring in someone, it would be RG III (at a much reduced salary) to complete with Tyrod. They have many of the same skills so moving from one to the other could easily happen.

  6. Yeah, we still have a chance at the playoffs. And I still have a chance at being good looking. But flashing back into reality for a second: who do you you root for?

I'm rooting for the Jets. Does this have something to do with Rex? Probably. But it has more to do with an unworthy underdog beating the Pats.

    Jets 28. Panthers 20.

    Yes, drinks. But go Jets.

Sorry -- I have two teams I consistently root for -- the Bills and whoever is facing the Jets. I'd skip the Super Bowl entirely if I had to root for the Jets.

For me, I'd root for Arizona

  7. So who do we rid ourselves of on this team? Heres my early list

    - Thigpen and we all know why

    - Carpenter- just not reliable enough and cant do kick offs

    - Jordan Gay - a one trick pony who doesnt always get it done anyway

    - Boobie Dixon- the guy flat out stink and takes dumb penalties

    - Ron Brooks- why he is on an NFL team is baffling

    - Mario Williams- too much money with little return

    - Robert Woods- hes not a bonified number 2 and has fumbleitis

    - 1/2 the offensive line- but which ones? Damn this has been a bad unit for too many years

-Crossman- he may be the worst ST coach in the game

    - Dennis Thurman- he has to be held accountable for the dismal defense

Rex will get another year because thats the way it works

Whats your list? I kept some other obvious ones out for ya. Keep it light and fun please.

Pretty good list. I'd keep Woods as a 3rd receiver -- he is a demon blocker and not a bad receiver. I'd lose Manuel for a veteran backup

  8. T-Mobile missed some open recievers today, more than I've seen him do. I wonder about the number of long passes as critical times. but I have to say I like it better than an 7 yard out on 3rd & 10.

Sammy W did not have a good day today, by his standards. Dropped two passes he should have caught. Losing Clay hurt. It looked like T-Mobile did not have any confidence in Gragg. Not sure if he as ever targetted.

  9. liability in coverage, has a knack for the ball, big hitter, OK run defender, good blitzer...

Pretty much a prototypical Ryan safety

I agree, he's a Ryan type player. He's made plays for the Bills. I think the more he plays the more he learns. He's also very good hiding (can't be found in the woods by an army of police) which helps him not being seen by the QB.

  10. Dareus was really good tonight and Jerry Hughes was a beast. Of course, the O-Line for the Pats was in shambles so they should have dominated. Well played game by the "D" with the exception of a couple of tackles missed -- the Duke and Graham cracker to blame for those.
