Maybe I’m in the minority, but I’m not buying it.

I'm with you.  I don't link putting, what I would call, and artificial play in the game.  That's like the idiotic overtime rule in college.

The onside kick-off follows the same rules as a regular kick-off so I am not sure how you outlaw it.  There isn't a special rule for an onside kick that is different than a regular kick

  2. I see two "most notable" items and therefore notable faces in Bills post merger NFL history.  Those would be:

    1. The four straight Super Bowl appearances & losses - the faces of the franchise there were Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, & Bruce Smith.  You might say the single memorable event there was "wide right" so you could say Scott Norwood.

    2.  The first 2000 yard rusher - the face there is OJ.

    Take your choice between them.

  3. I still think the Center is the key O-Line position or at least equal to the Left Tackle.  I can not explain the reduction in years of service without some further analysis, but is it possible that some experienced centers retired over the last couple of years, thus reducing the avg years of service?

    1st Round: Bryce Love

Running back out of Stanford good speed and good body awareness and vision.

    2nd Round: Sam Mustipher

Cenrer our of Notre Dame good body control and agility fighting to avoid sacks and tackles for loss at the point of attack

    3rd Round: LJ Scott

Bruising running back Michigan State for short yardage situations and jumbo packages at the goal line

    4th Round (2 Picks)

    Jalen Jelks

A bigger and healthier addition to the line backing and defensive end core.  Which could help ease uncertainty with Trent Murphy facing recurring injuries.  Out of University of Oregon

    Mitchell Wilcox

Tight-end our of South Florida a competent replacement for Clay.  Good body awareness and a target for Allen in the clutch.

Would not be happy at all to see Love be the Bill's 1st round pick.  I don't think he performed as well as he was projected this year and there are a number of backs who will be just as good that can be found in later rounds.  One example is Jalin Moore of Appalachian State.

  5. I'd like to see a 1st round pick used on an O-Lineman.  It's not a deep class so I think you need to find the jewels early - Maybe Greg Little or Johan Williams.  Of course that depends how high in the draft the Bills are.  If too hign, maybe a trade down as I thinnk both of these guys are in the 12-20 range.

  6. Witten was bad.  He said that Anderson had been with the team for 6 days - interesting since he had played in the past two games.  I agree the entire MNF team is sad.  I think it was Triplett who could not speak, but then he wasn't good as a referee either.

The good news is the announce team gave me something else to focus on instead of the woeful Bills offense.

  7. The closest in the area of a dominant defensive front 7 player is Bradley Chubb.  Of course, you mention Ray Lewis in your title and he was certainly not thought to be one on Draft day so that person who will become dominant may not yet be identified until they start playing.

I think the most dominant player who will come out of this draft is on offense and he's Quenton Nelson.

  8. The Bills need to use this draft capital to shore up a WEAK O-Line.  The Bills lost their two best O-Linemen in Wood & Richie.  Without getting someone who can play in those positions (not journeymen they have used at the line like Mills and DuClasse (sp?)) is critical to have any success.  We also have a big need at WR and LB to fill.

  9. I know I am in the minority of Buffalo fans, but there are too many needs on this team (Tackle, Guard, QB, WR, LB, CB) for this team to give up high draft choices to go up and get a QB.  If a quality QB drops to us at 12 or 22, then we select one and with the other choices we get folks to fill the other holes.  A new QB can not play behind the O-Line that exists today.

  10. The Bills have serious work to do with this O-Line.  They needed a guard and a tackle BEFORE losing Wood and Incognito.  Now they are in what I would call desparate need.  The offense will not perform on either the ground or the air with this line.  For me, it now becomes a #1 need!

  11. I would be OK with having "The Baker" cook up some magic in Buffalo.  I like the fact that he is ultra confident, so much so that he walked on at Oklahoma rather than stick with a scholarship somewhere else.  Height can be an issue, but I think most Bill's fans remember Doug Flutie and his success in Buffalo until folks thought he was too short and when to the prototypical Rob Johnson.  That didn't work out so well.

There is no way the browns pass on Barkley with the first pick. They could still grab a QB at 4 or use a few of their picks to get to two and take Barkley and the QB of their choice.

I agree - the Browns will take Barkley.  He's the best player in the draft and will make the offense better immediately.  With a #4 pick as well, the Browns still can take one of the top QBs.  I hope they take Allen because I don't want the Bills tempted to take that guy.
