So the "healthy" Bills team we're supposed to see today is minus K. Williams, Harvin on IR, A. Williams still gone, a sick Dareus and a Sammy who was obviously gimpy in pre-game.

I'm kinda hoping he's just a decoy today and doesn't injure himself further trying to do too much.

While I'm in agreement that the Bills shouldn't even consider Kaep you're off your rocker with the "top 6 QB" statement.

I think he meant because they've played 7 games and people are looking at next year already. Personally, I think it's about a day early for these type of posts. If the manage to lose to the Phins they'll be in "there's always next year" mode. Until then, I say there's still a decent shot at the playoffs. They've got to win 2 of 3 though.

The dominance of the Pats and the ineptitude of the Bills is part of what make those stats look the way they do. If the Pats had lost 4 of their 7 games (like the Bills have) their opponents' record would be 25-26. If the Bills had won all their games (like the Pats have) their opponents' record would be 23-27.

What have people seen from Bradham in this defense that makes them want to extend him? He excelled last year but hasn't had nearly the impact this year. As for Woods, I like his play and how physical he is but his attitude on the field sucks. In addition he has way too many penalties. He's been called for 5 in 7 games though one was offsetting but the 4 that were taken still leads the league. Even when he's not getting penalized I can't count how many times that I'm cringing expecting a penalty to be thrown because he's doing stuff after the whistle. The team needs fewer of these types of players. Yet, if he can be convinced to play more under control I like his skill set.

I would rather he not play than to try and play if hes not ready. Guys s who come back too early just make it worse.

Yeah, I'm not a fan either but he played well in the first half. I was surprised at how critical Pettine was during his halftime interview. He obviously has issues with the kid.

They lost to the Jags. That seems about right. Beat the Phins and Jests and the respect will start to come back.

The pressure is all on him. He's involved in everything I'm sure. Just because someone has people working for them doesn't mean they're not doing anything. I'm sure his job is a non-stop pressure cooker 12+ hours a day.

But your original post had to do with Whaley being asleep at the wheel in terms of improving the team before the trade deadline. This, to me, suggests that you believe that talent deficiency is the issue. Somewhere along the line you've made it about the Rex hire. What does Whaley being "asleep at the wheel" and not pursuing players via trade have to do with Rex? Do you really want him to mortgage the future if you have such little faith that Rex will get the most out of the players brought in?

It really depends on the actual working relationship between Rex and Whaley, not the speculative one. If they get along and are on the same page no one is going anywhere. If they dont, my guess is Whaley will lose the power struggle this time.

I'd take that bet. Not the missing the playoffs part, but the firings.

He looks better than he did 4 years ago. Four years ago he missed the season with his neck injury and the Colts were busy tanking the season for Luck.
