1. In question...

    LG: Smith, Tucker, or Pucillo?

    WR: Reed or Evans?

    DE: Kelsay or Denney?

FS & SS: Milloy is the starting SS, but he's hurt.  Who's the starting FS and who covers for LM?

    KR/PR: McGee, Smith, Clements, who?

FWIW, Allen Wilson of the News in this week's TSN preview lists Evans & Kelsay ahead of Reed & Denney. This isn't the magazine preview from a couple months ago, but is current. Don't know whether or not he's right, but Wilson strikes me as one of the more knowledgble local beat writers.

  2. Because of injuries a couple guys who would normally make it get cut.

    QB: Zolman.

RB: Simonton, Burns, Lawton. (We keep only four)

WR: Not so Fast Freddie Smith, Haddad.

    TE: Trafford

    OL: McFarland, Esposito, Pucillo.

DL: Ritzman, Bannan, Sape (We keep Gildon, especially as reserve LB)

    LB: Haggan

DB: Dixon (we keep 10 and perhaps later cut PP or Greer)

That's pretty good, I wouldn't lose sleep over seeing any of them go.

I agree on keeping 10 DBs, especially with Lawyer hurt.

If anything, I'd like to cut Travis Brown & keep Lawton, 4 RBs seems a little light.

  3. Some interesting stuff IMO:

    OVERVIEW:

Game should be low-scoring since both teams boast strong defenses

& have question marks on offense.

    WHEN JAX HAS THE BALL:

Jax will try to run 30+ times w/ Fred Taylor & Greg Jones.

Leftwich still a work-in-progress, will look for big plays from Jimmy Smith & Reggie Williams.

Bills need to force him out-of-the-pocket, where he's less accurate.

    WHEN BILLS HAVE THE BALL:

Hard to run the middle w/ Stroud + Henderson,

so look for TH + WM on sweeps, attacking Jax's DE's.

Jax's D is fast but overly aggressive, can be exploited by play-actions + reverses.

Look for Bills to attack iffy #2 CB DeWayne Washington + #3 CB Kiwaukee Thomas

    with Evans & Reed.

OL still a work-in-progress, will need help from Shelton & Campbell.

    MATCH-UP TO WATCH:

Stroud & Henderson vs. Smith & Chris V.

If they stuff the run, get pressure up the middle & get a hand in DB's face,

will be a long day for Bills O.

    BY THE NUMBERS:

Jax was 5-1 when Taylor had 23 or more carries, 0-10 when he had 22 or fewer.

Bills were 6-0 last year when TH scored a TD.

    HANDICAPPER'S GUIDE:

8 out of 10 pick the Bills to win outright. :D

1 picks Jax to cover but lose.

    1 picks Jax to win.

  4. We are definitely going to go with at least 9 DBs.....I think Greer makes

    the team...

    17630

That's the 1st thing I thought as well.

    Add +1 or +2 DB,

Maybe add +1 RB or FB,

    Those groups appear light.

    Subtract -1 QB

    or -1 TE

    or -1 DT

    or -1 LB

    Those groups appear fat.

  5. her ass is un-freaking-believable...but she's still a butterface.  sorry, just my opinion...it's not as if i'd turn her away from my bed or anything.

umm...wait...on second thought, i would turn her away -- or at least turn her around.    ;)

    16989

Definitely a butterface. Reminds me of Tori Spelling. <_<

  6. If we want to, we can get Brown back later.  No one's been busting through our door asking for Travis Brown.

    17191

    Exactly.

If you let TB go now,

the odds that another team will pick him up are slim and none.

    Been there, seen that.

    Keep Matthews.

If his lack of arm strength/lack of playbook knowledge/whatever proves to be a liability,

let him go & bring TB back.

  7. first of all...who in the bills' organization has suggested that the bills are going to trade henry?  NO ONE, that's who.  it gets old reading posts that imply it's a done deal.  everyone from TD on down has made it perfectly clear who the bills' starting RB is right now.

second question...who in the bills' organization has suggested that mcgahee is at 100%?  NO ONE, that's who.  but his talent and instincts are obvious, and he'll probably be close to 100% by the middle of the season.

ken simonton is training camp fodder for a team like buffalo.  shaud williams is a legitimate player who should make the team.  neither of them should be kept at the expense of mcgahee.

    16988

Great post, agree 100%, Willis will get better each week.

As for Simonton, I'm still shaking my head as to why he got brought back again this year. Shaud's easily got him beat.
