Just cause he got cut today doesn't mean he won't be back.
The 53-man roster on cut day always looks a little different
when the dust has finally settled...
Wait a few days and
KEEP HOPE ALIVE!!!
-
The procedure is:
1. get cut
2. clear waivers (all other 31 teams can claim)
3. sign to practice squad.
Once on the practice squad, any other team can sign a player
IF they put him on the 53-man roster.

FWIW, Allen Wilson of the News in this week's TSN preview lists Evans & Kelsay ahead of Reed & Denney. This isn't the magazine preview from a couple months ago, but is current. Don't know whether or not he's right, but Wilson strikes me as one of the more knowledgble local beat writers.

Too bad about Sullivan,
I would've thought TD could've at least gotten a low draft choice for him.
-
No, when healthy he can be activated again
AFTER he passes through waivers.
As we all know, no team will pick him up,
so it's a kinda win-win for TD
(keeps Drew happy, keeps TB off the curent roster).

JMac must see something there!

HOW BOUT THEM BOILERS!!!!!!!!!!
I may have to jump back on the bandwagon!
-
I have no idea, too hard to call IMO.
Hoping for another romp like last year, but will settle for a win,
though a loss is not inconceivable.
-
Because of injuries a couple guys who would normally make it get cut.
QB: Zolman.
RB: Simonton, Burns, Lawton. (We keep only four)
WR: Not so Fast Freddie Smith, Haddad.
TE: Trafford
OL: McFarland, Esposito, Pucillo.
DL: Ritzman, Bannan, Sape (We keep Gildon, especially as reserve LB)
LB: Haggan
DB: Dixon (we keep 10 and perhaps later cut PP or Greer)
That's pretty good, I wouldn't lose sleep over seeing any of them go.
I agree on keeping 10 DBs, especially with Lawyer hurt.
If anything, I'd like to cut Travis Brown & keep Lawton, 4 RBs seems a little light.

PFW BEST BETS:
Pats -3 over Colts at NE
Rams -10 over Cards at SL
Vikings -3.5 over Boys at Dallas
Titans at Phins under 38-1/2
Pats and Titans/Phins under are LOCKS IMO,
and I also like the Rams... not sure about giving Tuna points at home.
Bills-Jax over/under is 34-1/2... too low, not gonna touch that one.
-
Some interesting stuff IMO:
OVERVIEW:
Game should be low-scoring since both teams boast strong defenses
& have question marks on offense.
WHEN JAX HAS THE BALL:
Jax will try to run 30+ times w/ Fred Taylor & Greg Jones.
Leftwich still a work-in-progress, will look for big plays from Jimmy Smith & Reggie Williams.
Bills need to force him out-of-the-pocket, where he's less accurate.
WHEN BILLS HAVE THE BALL:
Hard to run the middle w/ Stroud + Henderson,
so look for TH + WM on sweeps, attacking Jax's DE's.
Jax's D is fast but overly aggressive, can be exploited by play-actions + reverses.
Look for Bills to attack iffy #2 CB DeWayne Washington + #3 CB Kiwaukee Thomas
with Evans & Reed.
OL still a work-in-progress, will need help from Shelton & Campbell.
MATCH-UP TO WATCH:
Stroud & Henderson vs. Smith & Chris V.
If they stuff the run, get pressure up the middle & get a hand in DB's face,
will be a long day for Bills O.
BY THE NUMBERS:
Jax was 5-1 when Taylor had 23 or more carries, 0-10 when he had 22 or fewer.
Bills were 6-0 last year when TH scored a TD.
HANDICAPPER'S GUIDE:
8 out of 10 pick the Bills to win outright.
1 picks Jax to cover but lose.
1 picks Jax to win.

YANKEE PRIDE: the most powerful force in sports
will prevail in the end.
-
Define "slow".
If the offense struggles a little and has to punt a lot, it won't be too bad.
But if Drew starts making stupid mistakes, it could get ugly.

Definitely a butterface. Reminds me of Tori Spelling.
-
Sure would be nice this year to say
"Willis McGahee - all he does is score TDs."
-
About time someone came up with a game review.
Good stuff, thanks!

Exactly.
If you let TB go now,
the odds that another team will pick him up are slim and none.
Been there, seen that.
Keep Matthews.
If his lack of arm strength/lack of playbook knowledge/whatever proves to be a liability,
let him go & bring TB back.

Maybe Willis does end up playing a lot of FB with TH at HB this year.
I didn't get to see the game yesterday, but so far Shelton has not impressed me at all.
Possible he may get cut???
-
first of all...who in the bills' organization has suggested that the bills are going to trade henry? NO ONE, that's who. it gets old reading posts that imply it's a done deal. everyone from TD on down has made it perfectly clear who the bills' starting RB is right now.
second question...who in the bills' organization has suggested that mcgahee is at 100%? NO ONE, that's who. but his talent and instincts are obvious, and he'll probably be close to 100% by the middle of the season.
ken simonton is training camp fodder for a team like buffalo. shaud williams is a legitimate player who should make the team. neither of them should be kept at the expense of mcgahee.
Great post, agree 100%, Willis will get better each week.
As for Simonton, I'm still shaking my head as to why he got brought back again this year. Shaud's easily got him beat.
