  1. It has been a long time since we have watched a team this good. I think last years injuries and the close loses made this team strong. Add more talent and some great coaching and we have a team that can go all the way. Go Bills
  2. "Barring injury to key players (Brady. and possibly Moss)." Right now Brady is injured. Who knows how bad it is or how it will effect him. I suspect that it might be an issue. As I stated I think Welker broke his ribs (speculation). He was a big reason for their success last year. What I saw last year vs. the Patriots was a team that didn't even think it belonged on the same field as them, then went out and proved it. I'll be pleased if the Bills at least show some heart this year. Last year's games were disgusting. I agree with this. I think part of that was a mind game that Belicheat successfully (almost Ha Ha) played on the whole league. The Pats were an incredibly talented team that scared people to death. By running up scores I think they created a myth that they couldn't be beat. The Bills were guilty of believing this. Last years Bills team was also an anomaly. With all of the injuries that we had there were time when I didn't think they were a legitimate NFL team and our offensive play calling was a joke. This was especially true during the first game against the Pats when Wil!@#$ took out JP. I think we have better personnel and Turk appears to be a real OC. The Giants exposed the myth that the Pat couldn't be beat and I have seen the affect of that during the three preseason games that I watched. Preseason means nothing more than player evaluation. I don't agree with this simplistic statement but judging by the player performance that I saw things don't look good. The Pats o-line was beat on a regular basis. Maroney and Sammy Morris didn't run well. Moss may have been slacking but he was often covered. The linebackers were burned over and over. The Pats can't be accused of running a vanilla offense. They mixed things up and tried a number of trick plays. I may be wrong about all of this and the Pats may still win the division but my hunch is that it isn't going to happen this year. I don't buy the hype that these smucks are going to be great just because they have been in the past. This time last year the talking heads were predicting that the Bears and 49 were going to be great. In the past I wouldn't have bet against them this year I am. I base this on what I have seen in the preseason and I have watched these games closely. Bold prediction yes, but that is my prediction.
  3. It looked to me like Welker may have broken a rib. That would be a big deal.
  4. I know it is preseason but the Pats have looked horrible. Yeah their Wonderboy QB is out but they can't run, pass, or stop the rush, and special teams has given up two Td's on kick returns during the Eagles game. I don't think they are going to dominate this year. I know people will jump all over this but I think they will struggle to make the playoffs. If I am wrong someone will pull this post up during the season but I think the Bills can take them this year. On a side note: I think Welker got hurt on a kick return during the Eagles game.
  5. Bill Cowher picked the Bills as the surprise team this year. Nice to hear. He is smuck but he knows football.
  6. Sorry, I got it free last week and just watched tonight. It was good so I thought I would post the info. I guess the free offer was for a limited time only. My bad. Go Bills
  7. If you use ITunes you may want to download the NFL networks 07 Highlights video free on ITunes. It is in the TV shows section and it is a pretty good recap of the season. Go Bills
  8. I agree. There is something fishy about this holdout. I can't believe there aren't some kind of talks going on. Just to throw my two cents out there I think the Bills need to step up. Sure you can't fold for every player that feels like he needs a raise but Peters is a special story. He far out played expectations last year. Peters should also extend a hand to the Bills. They took a chance on him and extended his contract once. The fact that this hasn't happened makes me think that there is something fishy in Orchard Park.
  9. Yeah it is pre-season but the Pats are missing tackles, failing to stop the run, and their running games has been stopped dead. This doesn't look like the team that pushed the league around for 16 weeks. Sure it doesn't count but it is nice to see and I do think pre-season counts for something when the starters are in.
  10. How about we sign Jason Peters and Lee Evans instead of going on an Easter egg hunt only to lose proven players.
  11. Got to give props to Lee since no one else is. I can think of two catches last year. One tipped behind him that he pulled in the other was the one in the Jets game where he went up with two defenders on him, owned the ball and walked into the EZ as the Jets defenders laid on the ground and watched. I am not saying the best catches (to hard to call) every but still awesome.
  12. Please don't deny him a chance to spew his conservative talking points of a football forum.
  13. The Pats began this year with an embarassing lose in the Superbowl and I think it will just get worse. The poop is going to hit the fan. The whole league watched the Giants put Brady on his winey ass and you are going to see that a lot next year. The Bills are putting together the perfect team to do just that. I am looking forward to playing the *cheatriots this season.
  14. Beyond they bad stats both Gaines and Royal had some key dropped passes that should have been caught. I can't forgive Royal for two unforgivable fumbles. I think one was in the Wash game and one was in a Jets game. My only problem with the draft is that I think they should have gone for a better TE. Maybe I am wrong and Fine is better than his draft ranking. My guess is that they did the best they could this year and next year a center and TE will be a priority.
  15. Does anyone remember the 60 minutes expose the BB did after winning the Superbowl a few years ago? I remember him showing off the Pats state of the art video equipment and talking about how important breaking down video was. BB made it seem like he was a genius at this. It looks a little different now. He was flaunting his guilt to the world. I wouldn't be suprised if that interview isn't replayed sometime soon.
  16. I love how the ESPN site has an article about how much of a prankster Todd Light is instead of how this issue tarnishes the league. That speaks volumes about how this is going to be brushed aside. I feel like a guy who finds out his wife was cheating on him and everyone says these things happen in life get over it.
  17. It looks like this is playing out just like I thought it would. It turns out the cheating was as bad or worse then I thought. It is directly linked to some Bills games. I don't care what Chris Brown says, knowing the other teams plays is a huge deal. Despite all of this the league follows Bruce Smiths logic as says it is "water under the dam". If the league lets this slide I hope karma takes over.
  18. I have one. It isn't sports related. It covers archeology in the Fingerlakes. http://hi-torstone.blogspot.com/ I read Chris Brown's Bill's blog often.
  19. Did anyone else read that article and think it was stupid? Nothing worse than a third rate writer trying to be funny. I have read better post on this message board.
