  1. We gave up nothing in these transactions. Watkins was only potential, still unproven that his skills are capable of being on the field when needed. Darby can play but has not demonstrated he is a top CB. This team needs players who can show up and can lead. Sammy types who over estimate their impact cause turmoil with their expectations. " Give me the ball !!!!! I showed up this week so you should all be thankful. ".
  2. 100 % correct. If you had a careless driving charge at age 19 it still stops your entrance into US at age 60 and also the other way around. Ludicrous.
  3. if we release OJ ( and we know his performance has dropped and Shady needs more carries) I bet he joins Brady on the Pats. His MO seems to fit Belecheats skeems . If his style doesn't fit he must quit.
  4. who among us has not taken a gun to an amusement park. If this had been in Rhode Island it would be unacceptable, but in Ohio it appears necessary. Trust in Adolpho
  5. OK now just learn the secret codes and your in. ops...and make sure you understand SDS is King. welcome aboard Bills fan.
  6. appears to not only to be his/her first post but maybe the last....no response yet. Not a thank you, not a nice to be here, not a GFY. Maybe Creekside is not really by the creek....maybe this is the old Pigboy...back from Nigeria looking for money for the Nigerian Prince scam....or worse...a Dolphin fan in disguise....Adam West died so I know it is not the real Batman..See ya later Creekside...same bat time same bat web site...look forward to reading your opinions and thoughts...
  7. Dareus does not have 56 years...he has maybe 10 in football and as such cannot afford to waste the talent, on pot, or drugs or crying about things. and challenging the rules. He has many years after his 10 to screw up all he wants. His teammates work hard to play the game and he lets them down by not playing and facing suspensions etc. He takes up a huge portion of the cap. He has responsibilities and time the little boy grew up. We have no choice but to give him another chance and I hope he is successful. But we have been down this road before and I am not prepared to forgive or forget until he actually does it.
  8. So Biscuit he has had a tough life and that allows him to opportunity to lie to his teammates, the Bills and the fans. As a good ol' social worker you are, exactly how many more times does he get to screw up. A one year suspension, one more year of being out of shape, lets see what you say when the next time he peas in a cup. And by the way, everyone seems to think this is a pot issue. Where did that come from. Not the league. He has lied many time so how can you believe him. In a career that last maybe 10 years...how many chances do you get. thanks, you are right. sounds best sung to the music of "Cry me a River"
  9. you are happy for the young man. Get a grip. He is a ungrateful man. unable to face reality and has hurt this team dramatically. He used his mothers illness as an excuse his first year. Always another reason. He has abandoned his teammates. He has one interview and everyone is on his bandwagon. To me he has a lot more to prove than an interview staged by his manager. He has yet to even mention his lying to the fans and the Bills. He is making the rounds looking for good guy treatment for his next contract. Dareus is one or two steps from being James Hardy. He needs to shut up. Get in the gym. Get on the field for the next 2 or 3 seasons and prove he is a man and a teammate.. This to me is a smoke screen set up by his manager/agent.
  10. I suggest we save the cap money and cut Shady and sign Fredex and Tiki Barber as a combo back field. now that is progressive thinking. We can spend the money on a 38 yr old QB and not have to worry about coach-ability.
  11. Never forget. Great teams, great players, great people, Saw much of it live. Lost my voice many times, My children and I shared this greatness. Many family pics from drive 2 . Had some great tailgating buddies, Met some great people. Shared some great memories. How can that ever wear off.
  12. Byrd is a mercenary from day one. A timid player who refuses to stick his nose into the tough stuff. I don't blame him for taking the money, but he never earned it before or after the contract. He was a creation of the press.
  13. Dareus is not their best defensive player. He missed more than 1/2 his possible snaps and played terrible on 1/2 of those he played. The problem is people think Dareus is good....no he is not...he potentially could be good.... potentially Percey Harvin can be good...he is not. judgement of players must be on actual performance not dreams.
  14. the message delivered to the team by allowing Dareus to come and go as he pleases is the real damage. He appears to be lacking intelligence, has lied to the team, his teammates and the fans, and has faced discipline from the team and the league and still is here. Polian is wrong on this one...no more chances regardless of the financial effect. When you pay him he is not here half the time in any event.
  15. I would rather see anyone else get the carries....but your point is well made.
  16. bring back Ryan's stooge Brandon Spikes too. A waste of money on the field but is a great locker room informant for a lazy coach. opps, forgot Rex is gone so bye bye Spikes. if we must have a Spikes on this team make it TKO
  17. This is about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Reggie needs to buy a gift for a certain Kardashian.
  18. It is time we moved on from this marginal tackle. He has been a stop gap player at left tackle that we have come to rely on. He looks good because all others have been worse. The level of performance when healthy is not enough to win with. Remaining healthy has been only one of the issues. Just the best of a bad lot.
  19. I had warning points too but have done my penance....but if this thread and bbmb is mentioned again I am likely to earn another warning
  20. Overdorf has had more power than you may think. I refer you back as far as Jauron era when the week before the season kickoff it was Overdorf who released Langston Walker (our starting tackle) because of money issues ( Walker was a freeagent signing...not worth the dollars perhaps) and Jauron was shocked and was not told. At that time it was reported Overdorf controlled all contracts and made decisions above the head coach and maybe the GM. This type of behind the scene power broker must go.
  21. Great thread.....debating on how to debate the debaters vs the non debaters the info seekers vs the info commenters SDS and the mods should stay up 24-7 to insure it meets all the standards for billsgrp88 who is not a participator just a lurker. This is not a news site, it is a sharing and commentary site we all know you can get the best info from Jerry Sullivan column and ESPN
  22. ok, after 86 pages of facts about how and why here is the real truth. The Bills know that Peterman is the second coming of QBs. And how do we know this fact...that so many fans believe he will be a starter in Sept. That being fact, Whaley and his band of brothers are so intent on creating pop culture in their wheeling a dealing begin the draft with a diversionary tactic by trading down believing Peterman will be there at 27. Then they decided to roll the dice again...and again and again. (you get the point) Finally round 5...Peterman is a Bill. during this whole time TPegula and l'il Kim are watching from afar. They have been told by all that Peterman is the savior. for months everyone in the Bills staff have been told never to mention this name. A planned diversion by Whaley. Whaley made sure that Verizion service for TP phone was out. For 2 days Pegula could not reach him. Whaley was high on the diversion. Like a gambler not being able to walk away. Round after round the high feeling got stronger. The whole scouting staff got into it. It was one huge group high. Finally, realizing they could not get him as an UDFA they make the call. The next morning events unfold at OneBillsDrive as Pegula. finally realizes what happened. Whaley is last seen being escorted off the property has he is screaming " I could have made Peterman the next Brady" ..... that is how I see the it. fact.
  23. The biggest issue here is the effect it has on the ability to attract new people. Money and term of contract becomes more important and loyalty is reduced. Common result in business in these circumstances. Of course the incestuous relationships at One Bills Drive have lead to this. The biggest power broker of the lot IMHO is Overdorf who has gradually taken more and more decision power. It is still sad that many long term people and their families pay the price for bad leadership.
