  1. At least bring him in. We brought in Edwards after he failed his with BAL. You/Nix must not like OTs that can block.
  2. Gaither naw, Harris naw, Henderson yea! Forgot we only want OTs that suck so this makes sense.
  3. and to think we passed on O-sack-po for this turd.
  4. thanks, i mean we are stil WAY under the cap right? Roth, Crowder & Harris will get like 3ish mill per yr. Boss would be the most expensive around 4-5 mill. Kelsay makes 2 mill this yr. Torbor, Martin & Wrotto make 1 mill. So it's not like we'd be spending out our buts for these guys. Say R + C + H get 3 mill per yr. and we get Boss for 5 that's 14 million. If we cut the guys I said we save round 5 million so our cap would go up 9 million. Not to bad imo.
  5. I remember when Nicks kept falling till the 5th in the 08 draft because he was a "slacker". wanted the Bills to take him as a RT. wanted him in the 3rd over Chris Ellis, wanted him in the 4th over Reggie Corner & Derek Fine, wanted him in the 5th over Alvin Bowen. Well looks like I was right.
  6. Yes he did but Dwan Edwards failed his in BAL and we signed him last yr. Yea agree seems like they think TE isn't worth anything but Boss is a all around TE who would be a HUGE upgrade. Kelsay needs to go doesn't fit 34, yea yea we are going to run both, but we want a switch to the 34 so go for it and sign Roth who is a 34 OLB who can rush the passer and stop the run. You have to think who we are getting rid of, Kelsay, Torbor, Martin, Howard/Wrotto, all those guys suck and we are upgrading every spot. It's not like they are good player and we getting guys who are small upgrades they are big upgrades
  7. My wish list Cut Kelsay, go all out 34 quit bsing around. Cut Torbor Cut David Martin Cut Cordaro Howard/Mansfield Wrotto Sign OLB Matt Roth Sign ILB Channing Crowder Sign TE Kevin Boss Sign OT Ryan Harris/Jared Gaither
  8. http://walterfootball.com/freeagents2011TE.php http://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2011/07/26/free-agency-2011-top-51-free-agents/ TEs Zach Miller, TE, Raiders. Age: 25. Zach Miller has caught at least 56 passes in each of the previous three years. I'd like to see what he could do in a more potent passing attack. 27. Zach Miller, TE In this era of guys either being good blockers or good receivers, Miller is one of the few who are good at both. A true number one tight end in every situation. --- Kevin Boss, TE, Giants. Age: 27. Kevin Boss is a decent end zone target (16 TDs last 3 years) and a solid blocker. 47. Kevin Boss, TE You wonder a little if Boss loses something every time he takes one of those big hits. 2009 was his year where he was a weapon in the pass game, and a beast with his blocking. 2010? Not so much. Has the tools to be a tight end who contributes on every play. OTs Ryan Harris, OT, Broncos. Age: 26. A young, decent, zone-blocking right tackle, Ryan Harris struggled in Josh McDaniels' new offense. Harris will probably be heavily pursued this spring, though he's been injured a lot in the past two years. --- Jared Gaither, OT, Ravens. Age: 25. Jared Gaither is a very talented offensive tackle, but he missed all 2010 with a serious back injury. Back problems don't go away very easily, so it's possible that Gaither may never be 100 percent again. 10. Jared Gaither, OT Perhaps slightly high given the risks, but the league is in short supply of good left tackles. More than that, Gaither isn’t just good – he’s extremely talented and with age on his side. Not enough franchise left tackles hit the market. OLBs Manny Lawson, OLB, 49ers. Age: 27. Manny Lawson isn't the greatest pass-rusher in the world, but he does so many other things very well. Moving on to a team with a 4-3 defense might be ideal for the former first-rounder. 25. Manny Lawson, OLB For 3-4 teams short on pass rush, Lawson seems the obvious answer. But there are some red flags given how he was rotated out of the lineup (often on passing downs) and he played alongside some exceptional players on that 49ers defense. Expect a solid performer, but not miracles. --- Matt Roth, DE/OLB, Browns. Age: 28. I'm not sure if Math Roth was hurt or not down the stretch, but he struggled late in the year after starting out really well. 12. Matt Roth, OLB Roth faded a bit when so much was asked of him in 2010, but if a team wants a proven all around performer to complement a pure pass rusher, Roth is the guy. Gets to the quarterback and impacts running plays. What more do you want? ILB Channing Crowder, ILB, Dolphins. Age: 27. Channing Crowder doesn't live up to his trash talking, but he's a decent, two-down inside linebacker. LB Channing Crowder In another example of a team swapping out talents, the Dolphins signed Kevin Burnett to replace Crowder at ILB. It’s arguable to me if that is an upgrade, as Crowder had a +14.0 run stop rating in 2010 despite missing five games. He had a positive run D rating in all but one game, and his -0.7 pass coverage rating doesn’t make him much of a liability in the pass game. He is definitely a player with some game left in him for a 3-4 defense.

  10. a 43 mlb who has no knees, okay. crowder for torbor would be a great move. Davis/Crowder/White , Barnett/Sheppard Nice depth at ILB if we do that
  11. Poz for 7 per or Barnett for 4 per? I'll take Barnett all day.
  12. if we cut our 5th r pick before the start of the yr some scouting guys need to go
  13. uh yea, he can play ST as well which helps. no way we roll into the yr with 2 rbs.
  14. anyone? I mean we would lose 2 mill a yr. if he can't play and I am sure if he miss most in his first 2 yrs we'd cut him. If he does come back we get a top notch OT for around 5 mill a yr. I don't see how we dont bring him in a do a deal like this wee need a OT bad and Gaither when healty is a very good one. We are what 25 mill under the cap? Take a 2 mill gamble on him.
  15. Why not offer him a 4 yr. deal that goes like this.... Yr.1 - 2 million + 2.5 million if he plays 88%+ of O snaps Yr.2 - 2 million + 2.5 million if he plays 88%+ of O snaps Yr.3 - 3 million + 2.5 million if he plays 88%+ of O snaps Yr.4 - 3 million + 2.5 million if he plays 88%+ of O snaps So he could make up to 20 million if he stays healty. Wouldn't that be a smart deal for both sides????
  16. I think Crowder is gonna be a Bill for sure due to Geroge Edwards having worked with him at UF and MIA. I'd take Lawson for Kelsay too.
  17. Should be 1st Unit - Shawne Merriman - Andra Davis - Channing Crowder - Arthur Moats 2nd Unit - Chris Kelsay - Chris White/Reggie Torbor - Kelvin Sheppard - Danny Batten/Antonio Coleman
  18. Bet if the jest knew they wouldn't get Namdi they would have resigned Smith
