  2. I dunno guys, the way this thread has been hi-jacked by the mods talking about where it's going to bounce, I'm really considering bouncing this to the customer Service forum.

Deleteing a few of the posts about bouncing, then stick it to the PPP forum, will get it back on track.

  3. thanks a lot, I plan on getting season tix this year..just wondering if I should just get them outright at the ticket office..or try out this select a seat and see what it has to offer

I can put the ticket office in touch with you through the Blue Coat program. What they will do is call you and you can set up a time to come out to the stadium and try out the different views without needing to wait till Select-A-Seat. Send me a PM for more details.

  4. And you remember those roaming numbers too, eh?  And that booklet you had to keep in the car full of different numbers... thank goodness those are gone!

I took a trip from Syracuse to Indianapolis one time and gave the person I was going to see a list of the roaming numbers so they could track me down during the trip. I think there were about 8-10 numbers I had to look up.

  5. Umm...  What's a bag phone?

(yes, I'm only 29...  And my parents never had any cool gadgets aside from computers)

Took me a while to find a picture, but this page has a picture of one. Think of a purse with a full size handset inside.

The first cell phone I ever saw/used was in my uncles car, in the mid-80's. Antenna on the roof, big box under the seat, and the handset mounted between the seats in the front.

  6. Currently, Acer Travelmate 735TLV

    P3 - 650

    256Megs of ram

    12 Gig hard drive

    DVD drive

Was top of the line when I bought it just about 5 years ago. Though this week I'm going to place my order for this HP at Staples. I'm going to up the memory to 1gig, and get the DVD burner with Dual Layer.

  7. That's accurate.  Analog handsets max at 0.6W, while the new digital handsets max at 0.06W, giving the older analog units better range, ie, better distance from their respective towers.  An old "bag phone" unit has 3.0W max, and were absolutely dynamite back in their day.

My first phone was a bag phone, I think it was either 92 or 93 when I got it. I could take that anywhere and not worry about reception. But this was before nationwide coverage was the norm. So if I was out of my home area, you would call a number in the area I was in, then dial my number to reach me.

  8. Two other cableladies and I just got our new Season Ticket assignments !!

    Section 123 Row 7 Seats 15,16,17

OMG !! I can see the guys' butts from up-close and personal now !!

I'm disappointed in you. You did not contact me for your seasons. I bet you called the ticket office directly, instead of going through the Blue Coat program. :)

  9. Of course game day should be spent sitting with the TBD group (If the TBD party is opening game)

    266933[/snapback]

It will be. A couple years ago, it was decided to keep it opening weekend because people can start making travel plans when they see what day that will be, rather than waiting a week or two while it's decided what game to attend. Plus it's early in the season so we'll have good weather and excitement for a new season.
