  1. I agree with Owen: This is the year to go after a Left Tackle, assuming he is the best value available at #10. I don't see us picking any higher than the middle of the first round for the next few years, so this pick has to count. If there are no OT's that warrant a high first-round pick, I would look at the best available LB, again - he must be high first-round talent.

It's no secret that our defense allowed a ton of points last year, but signing Mario should go a long way towards fixing the "D". That being said, a top-notch LB would be a great addidtion to this team if we can't land our Left OT at #10.

  2. Since we have a relatively high pick, and it's really like an 8 since the first 2 picks will be QB's, I say get the best football player available that will fill a need on the team. If we can get a blue chip O.T, this is the time to do it; we may not pick in the top 15 for a few years. If there aren't any OT's that merit a pick that high, I would go after a linebacker. The team desperately needs talent and depth on defense (although it looks like D-Line is no longer an issue!)

  3. I personally don't recall seeing gas prices rise so much so quickly.

We have some gas stations in Los Angeles closing in on $5.30/gallon regular unleaded.

    Top that.

No thanks; you can have it! Regular is ~$3.85 a gallon around here, but for us poor souls who need to burn extra or premium, we're over 4 bucks..

  4. Losing sucks. But are you going to let it ruin your life? No sense sulking about it. The Pats played a good game, and if a couple of plays had turned out differently, they would have won. (And believe me - I am no Patriots fan!)

The good ones shake it off, and get ready to play again. Gronk is young, and I'm sure he will get back to the big game at least a couple more times before he retires..

  5. It's great to recognize guys in the trenches, but 4 of 5 in the class of 2012?

Yeah, it's a mystery to me, too. As much as I would like to see Andre in the HOF, his competition at receiver was pretty stiff. But for NO receiver to get in? Not right if you ask me. Tim Brown has really good stats and he didn't get in? WTF?

  6. Also proves just like last year that it doesn't matter if you have a relatively mediocre 9-7 regular season.... just make the playoffs & get hot going in.

Lot of truth to that. And that's why it is important to have a deep bench. Because it's a game of attrition during the playoffs, and you have got to have competent players ready to step in when starters go down.

  7. Ain't gettin' any sympathy from this Bills fan. It was a good game, and it showed again that football is won and lost as a team. If 3 bad plays by NE had turned out differently, they likely would have won the game. (Sounds a lot like the Bills in SB 25)

Here's to a great 2012 season for Buffalo!
