  1. Should the Bills trade UP to #1???

No way. Too many holes to fill. I wish we had a few more draft picks actually. I don't see this season as one that the Bills will do much of anything. Not happy about losing Levitre; there was a guy that Spiller could run behind. Marrone will start to put his program together this year so it's a "wait and see" season..

  2. 1,084 replies (and counting) to this thread already! I'm really kind of shocked at this hire. But maybe (hopefully?) this will be a case of a guy who performs well everywhere he coaches. I personally would have preferred Lovie Smith, especially because he WANTED to come to Buffalo. But I wish all the luck to Coach Marrone. It will be interesting to see if he retains any assistants from Chan Gailey's staff..(Metzelaars, Joe D, DeHaven)

    Go Bills in 2013!

  3. It's depressing to talk about the current team, so let's turn back the clock in advance of the 20 year anniversary of "The Comeback." I'm writing a story about this game and would like to incorporate some stories about how fans experienced the game. Everyone in WNY old enough to remember this game has a story about that day. I was at the game and almost left at 35-3- Thank God I didn't! What's your story?

My brother-in-law and I were able to score some tickets to the wild card game; no easy feat back in the midst of the Superbowl years. But thanks to the drubbing the Bills had just suffered at the hands of the Oilers the previous weekend, ticket sales were slow, and the game was blacked out. We made the 90 minute trip to Orchard Park, parked in somebody's "lawn turned parking lot" and walked 3/4 of a mile to Rich..

An hour into the game, it looked like we'd wasted our money. We sat there: cold, wet and disgusted, and hoping that somehow the tide would turn in the third quarter. The Bills proceeded to go down yet another 7 points: 35-3 :death: My bro-in-law (who was 20 at the time) said "you wanna leave?". I sat there for a moment, realizing it would be the last Bills game we would see until next fall, because there was no way the Bills were going to pull this one out. I can still remember what I said: "Nah, we paid good money to sit here and freeze". I seriously just wanted to watch some players who I knew would never play in a Bills uniform ever again. Had no idea that we were in for the treat of our football lives.

I've been to some very exciting games over the past 25 years: The Frank Reich Monday night game vs the LA Rams(1989), and a 38-24 sunday night game vs the Raiders the following season are two that stick out. But that cold dreary Sunday 20 years ago is a game I will NEVER forget!

  4. The Bills have not been to the playoffs since 1999, and we've have had just one winning season in the past 13 years.

The task is yours, young Skywalker - Use the force! Bring the Lombardi Trophy to Buffalo before the Mayans get it right!

Trent was never the same after this hit. Do we think the London Fletcher hit on Fitz in Toronto last year might've had the same effect? He never was the most accurate passer but the deep ball pretty much completely disappeared from his "aresenal" after this happened.

I think Trent was traumatized by waking up with a big black man on top of him. Just sayin'..

  6. This firing has me down. Not because it isn't due (because it most definitely IS due). It's just an exclamation point on another failed era in Bills history.

It's the unrealized expectations. I've been a fan of this team going on 30 years. This 13 year stretch makes the dark days of '84-'86 seem like a walk in the park. Really thought the team would finish with at least a winning record this year, and possibly be a 5th or 6th spot in the playoff picture.

Finished 6-10 in a weak division? (the Jets and Dolphins SHOULD HAVE = 4 WINS) With a last place schedule?? Come on!

And now it's probably going to be ANOTHER rebuilding process, with some of our best players at the end of their contracts and looking for greener pastures. This season should NOT have ended this way.
