  1. Who cares what that pickle-headed bastard says? We will see soon enough. I'm not

so tied to Cowher (would be nice, but there are other good options) But I'm getting

to the point I want Cowher not just because he's good, but moreso to stick it to those

ish talking punks at ESPN, CBS and Fox who always have something sideways to say about

    Buffalo.

    "something sideways to say?"

They have nothing to say. Buffalo's not even on their radar screen.

  2. Bills fans can be really ignorant. I can remember year after year hearing Bills fans whining on WGR that Bruce Smith didn't deserve to get into the Pro Bowl because he got less than a sack per game or because he didn't lead the league in sacks.

With regard to Peters and McKinnie, everyone expects them to never be beaten for a sack and they rush to count sacks against them whenever remotely possible, etc.. Reality is that it's all relative, and most of the haters are people who don't know the game or don't know the OTHER players. Bruce wasn't competing against Deacon Jones and Joe Greene. He was the best in the AFC at the time, and in retrospect we almost universally appreciate that. Why can't it be more appreciated while they are playing? Bitterness? Denial?

And some StadiumWall posters like The_Philster even believe Peters was the worst Left Tackle in football. Is he Miami's Jake Long? Debatable. But is he the worst in the NFL? Let's bring some sanity to these blogs.

  3. Uh huh....and our brain fart...err Brain Trust passed on him for Aaron Maybin?

Is there any Bills fan with half a !@#$ing brain still want any of these !@#$s making anymore draft picks for us?

Coulda had Cushing as well, who was a tackle monster for the Texans this year and got his 4th interception in the Texans win over the Fins

  4. Congrats and let it be the first of many...and note to Dick Jauron, if at first you don't succeed drafting a star DB with a high pick try, try, try, try, try, try, try and try again.

For all of Jauron's negatives (and the list is endless), our secondary was one of the team's better groupings over his tenure. Better than the linebacker corps, the D-line, the O-line, etc.

Byrd, McKelvin, and veteran McGee are a good group to build around

  5. Peters tanked it on purpose in 2008...worst LT in the game last year...we should've had a better plan to replace him, though

Maybin...he might be good one day...but not for a while...and you have to get production out of the 11th pick...I totally agree

Yup, Andy Reid traded for the "worst LT in the game" and paid Peters $60M over 6 years. $10M/year money for the "worst LT in the game"

And Peters deliberately "tanked it on purpose"

The nonsense that people peddle on internet blogs is breathtaking

  6. He was the worst pass blocker in the game in 2008...more sacks allowed than any other player...so yes, he was terrible. At LT, your most important strength is supposed to be being able to protect the QB and he did that worse than any other LT in the league. And you know why? He tanked it...thought about his contract instead of doing his job.

Yup Andy Reid thought he was the worst Left Tackle in football and made the trade to bring him to Philadelphia.

And the Eagles are paying the "worst" left tackle in football $60M over 6 years

And Andy Reid has taken the Eagles to the playoffs how many times over the last 10 years?

  7. I don't think anyone's blaming TO for everything...but he's clearly disinterested in playing here (he was clipping his nails on the sidelines!! LOL) and is anxious to leave. He even said that Philly fans were better than Bills fans (even though we still fill the stadium when the Bills miss the playoffs for an entire decade)

Where and when did TO say that?

Could you provide a link or some evidence for that assertion

  8. The game is in Buffalo, but your point is still valid. Dude is going to leave a vapor trail and probably drag this organization through the mud to explain his sub-par season. The criticism may actually aid in blowing this thing up though.

He'll have to weigh spilling the "mud" with his limited marketability

My sense is that Rosenhaus has told Owens to put a muzzle on his negative criticisms. If he dishes out a lot of mud, TO will become even more toxic to the limited number of potential suitors (if any) for him in the offseason

  9. I just really hate the jets and there fans in the NY/NJ area. I cannot imagine this dog ass team in the playoffs + there cry baby pig coach.

Well we all hate our AFC East opponents

But if I had to choose between the Fins and the Jets ... and who I'd want OUT of the playoffs

I'll take the Fins OUT of the playoffs all the time

I have a visceral dislike of the entire cabal of Mercury Morris / Don Shula / Dan Marino / Bill Parcells / et. al.

  10. I too agree, but take Edwards OUT of that category. Pozitive51, you may be the most loyal Trent Edwards fan that I've ever come across in my life! Probably even more loyal than his own family! I remember your, "Trent Deserves Better Than This" topic. Anyway, at one point in this game, we were starting Andre freakin Ramsey at LT!! WHO IS ANDRE RAMSEY?!

And we remember what an idiot you were for ranting on and on about Trent as if he's been the principal cause of this team's problems this year. He's a benched QB and won't be back here next year. Get over it.

  11. 3) OMG do we need linebackers!!!!!!

And to think we could have had Cushing instead of Maybin in the draft. Cushing recorded his 4th interceptions this year. And has been a tackle monster in his rookie year for the Texans.

And even a healthy Keith Ellison would have been a backup on at least 1/2 the other teams in the NFL.

  12. He let his top 5 QB almost get knocked out cold on a blindside sack too. They can keep him. I still don't care.

And our Jello O-line this year gives up a sack on every 9 pass attempts

Indianapolis allows a sack on every 53 pass attempts

Until we get a half decent O-line, it will be tough for the Bills to even remotely be considered a playoff contender

  13. New contract

    More money

    New team

A team that could win the NFC East title

A team that arguably is the hottest team in the NFC right now

    Peters first playoff appearance

.... and all the while, his old team's O-line is a wreck

    D. Bell never panned out as an adequate replacement, despite the best hopes of Dick Jauron & Co. (and this after plugging Bell in for Langston Walker, who they initially thought would be an adequate replacement)

Jason Peters = yet another ex-Bill that gets to go to the playoffs (joining Pat Williams, Willis McGahee, etc. etc. etc.)
