No surprise on this...
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4792287
Potentially a QB coach for the Bills next year?
Zorn, for all his bumbling and failures as Redskins head coach, was a decent QB coach in Seattle and learned under one of the best Quarterback groomers ever, Mike Holmgren
-
Carolina won too, which should pretty much lock John Fox in as safe.
The next week will be critical for Fox, his agent, and Carolina mgmt
3. Bob LaMonte, our Man of the Year and the agent for many NFL head coaches, will be busy this week trying to reach an agreement on an extension for Panthers head coach John Fox -- or trying to free him from his one remaining year in Carolina. If Fox becomes available, he would surely be a candidate in Cleveland once Mike Holmgren decides to fire current coach Eric Mangini. Speaking of LaMonte, word around the league is that when he was doing Holmgren’s deal in Cleveland, the only thing he didn’t get from owner Randy Lerner was a percent of interest in his English soccer team.

Was there any crying on the Pats sidelines?
Other than Welker?
-
Love to have that 1st round draft pick, whatever it is .... 8th, 9th, ...
But last year, our best draft picks were Levitre, Wood, and Byrd .... ALL selected below the first picked, first round draft pick -- Maybin

Decent summary
The indictment of the Dick Jauron era is complete
4 losing seasons
-
They Bills have a good RB. Who is the TE you were referring to---Fine?
TO resigned, DOC?
Never surrender, huh?
Come on man, you know he's referring to Shawn Nelson, the rookie
Give your ranting a break
-
Please explain to me how Marshawn Lynch was a squandered pick. Did he or did he not go to the pro bowl last year?
Fewell decided Lynch's fate in 2009.
Nix and the new HC will decide Lynch's fate in 2010
-
No mention recently but that was reported as possible for Shanahan. I have to belive an equity stake is something CAR and TBAY can't match.
PTR
Factoring in the upside in such a contract for Cowher, he very could be the highest paid coach in NFL history. Or at least end up with the highest net worth.
His pay package would be far in excess of that of Nix
But Nix wouldn't be writing this kind of a deal. It would be Littmann and Brandon, with Ralph listening on the sidelines after giving his blessing

Go Cory Go
The big man rolls for big yardage
25 yards!
-
Cory Macintire(sp) spelling Freddie instead of Lynch. That say s a lot about Lynch's place on the team.
Talk about sliding down on the depth chart
-
Coach Sal reports the Bills have a succession plan, which was the #1 concern for Cowher. Curious and curiouser!
PTR
Ya think Cowher would get a minority % ownership in the team
That way, even if the team is moved after the auction, Cowher benefits from the auction and final value of the team upon sale

3rd string Tyler Thigpen, 2 TDs to bring the Dolphins to within 3 points of the Steelers
Who would have thought
And if Tyler is injured after replacing the injured Pat White who replaced the injured Chad Henne, who's the QB?
-
You are certainly entitled to your opinion, Doc. I don't think there's much upside to starting Brohm considering his lack of experience with the starters and all the changes that are coming in the off season. Let's see Brohm next year after the dust settles and he has a better chance of succeeding.
Give him a full training camp to earn a starting job and show us what he has
And Doc may want to start a separate thread on Brohm so we can all chime in
-
Parish has turned punt returns into an adventure this year. Not sure about his contract, but would suspect he's not back next year.
You mean, he's not a big, physical player?
-
Fitzpatrick is retarding the development of who? Brohm?---the guy who just showed up a few weeks ago? you think putting Brohm out there today would have made any impact on his "development" next year, because it's....snowing?
Just plain silly.
Look, this team has had no real chance for far longer than they have been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. Knowing this (don't claim therwise), why didn't you come out weeks ago advocating they tank the rest of the season? Why not shoot for the number 1 or 2 pick?
Excellent comment. 110% agree
-
Anyone notice how Marshawn has been benched since the 1stQ?
PTR
My, how Marshawn has fallen out of favor with the Fewell Administration
-
What a colossal waste today is. Starting Fitz and beating the Colts to drop further in the draft.
I watch and cheer for the Bills to win.
I don't cheer to move up two spots for a draft choice
Our best draft picks last year were Levitre, Wood, and Byrd .... ALL picked below Aaron Maybin
Go Bills. Give us a win today
-
Both Chad Henne AND Pat White injured for Miami and out
Who's gonna QB now
White is seriously injured and is being carted off now. Coach and all players are surrounding him, including Roethlisberger, who's right over him
-
Freddy 1000 !!!!!
-
Freddy 1K!
He really deserves it.
Best player on the Bills
That contract extension for Freddy was a deal for the Bills (Ralphie obviously approves)
-
I realize the Bills are playing against the Colts 2nd and 3rd string but this is still enjoyable.
The Colts biggest strength is also their weakness. God forbid something happens to Manning they have absolutely ZERO chance to win a game. Painter is wretched.
The biggest catastrophe for the Colts this year was Jim Sorgi's injury and move to IR
-
Kyle Williams
SACK!
He Da Man
Our Pro Bowl Alternate!
-
Gosh, delay of game after a time out. They just start looking competent then revert.
Can you say "self implosion"?
-
You need 2 quality RB's. Besides we don't have the luxury of trading our better players when we have no depth
Totally, totally agree
And if Freddy gets hurt, who do we have?
Coach Sal: Bills have met with Cowher twice
