  1. I wonder how many more cities down south are going to welcome Wegmans there with open arms now. Maryland and Virginia will probably be opening more soon and maybe even farther south. This will definitely help in their expansion.
  2. I'm a full time overnight front end coordinator/cashier at Ridgemont Wegmans. Nice post. Thanks for the compliments. As for your Tops comment...I couldn't agree more. I can't stand that place, even before I was a Wegmans employee.
  3. Congrats to Wegmans! They deserve it.
  4. Wegmans Food Markets Inc. has been named the best company in America to work for by Fortune magazine. The Gates-based grocery chain of 67 stores in four states was cited by the magazine for its unusual motto "Employees first, customers second" and the rationale that when employees are happy, customers will be, too. Wegmans employs about 14,500 workers locally, about 5,500 full-time. The company employs about 33,000 full- and part-time workers nationally. Fortune also praised Wegmans' ability to compete against growing national and regional competition, including wholesale clubs such as Sam's and BJ's as well as Wal-Mart Supercenters. "Wegmans has been a step ahead,'' wrote Matthew Boyle in the story which appears in Fortune's January 24 issue. http://www.democratandchronicle.com/apps/p.../501110302/1001
  5. Don't get me wrong. I wanted Beltran badly and would have loved to see him wearing pinstripes...but they needed a left handed solid pitcher like Randy Johnson more. If only they could have dumped Giambi's contract...then they might have gone after Beltran. *sigh* Oh well...we'll have to see who they sign next year or the year after to replace Bernie in CF.
  6. Come on, they have to know that their team is going to become another New York Yankees. Wait until their TV station goes on air. They will probably spend just as much as George, except they buy CRAP. He knows what he is buying most of the time.
  7. I agree. The Astros just needed to give him a No-Trade clause. How hard is that? They offered it to Andy Pettite and he's injury prone. And something tells me that if the Randy Johnson deal fell thru again and was dead, George Steinbrenner would have opened his wallet to sign Carlos Beltran. Oh well...Randy Johnson was more of a need. I can't wait to see the Big Unit in pinstripes.
  8. Oops, I forgot the link. http://www.nypost.com/sports/mets/37913.htm
  9. Just a little tidbit for you from the New York Post... Early Saturday evening, agent Scott Boras reached out to Yankee officials and said his client preferred their team and would accept a contract for $16.6 million a season over six years, a total of $99.6 million, according to sources familiar with the negotiations. The Yanks, as they had throughout this process, told Boras their payroll simply could not afford another expensive, long-term deal. The Yanks noted that under the current collective bargaining agreement, they would pay approximately $40 million extra in taxes on top of Beltran's contract, and the organization simply did not want to do that, even if given a chance to pay roughly $19 million less than the Mets for Beltran. The Yankees, in fact, never made an offer. ------------------------------------------------------ So, now let me laugh at you, Mr. Mets Fan. You were the LAST choice and it was ONLY because of the money.
  10. Enjoy him! The Mets severely overpaid him. IMO, he is NOT worth $45 more than Vlad Guerrero.
  11. At least you'll admit it.
  12. Yup, he's definitely exhibit B. I was disgusted when they showed that on ESPN.
  13. Thank you for that. It seems people are too busying completely hating and blaming Bledsoe, that they forget what our defense did yesterday or didn't do...
  14. Or you could have Verizon send you the Text Alerts with the scoring as it happens. That's what Im going to do. http://www.vtext.com
  15. Damn, I wanted to see the Bills defense stuff the Bus just short of getting his 1,000 yards.
  16. Anyone know if they will have a fresh supply for the game on Sunday?
  17. That's exactly what I was thinking. He was my favorite Yankee and O'Neil was right behind. That's the reason the Yankees stopping winning the championships...they sold their heart and soul for higher priced players. They did the same thing last offseason with Andy Pettite.
  18. The funny thing is...Weiler used to be an RJ fan.
  19. That's a great idea. I will probably find a few shirts that I'm looking for. Thanks.
  20. I'm definitely going to get one of these on Sunday. They are pretty sweet!
  21. http://www.buffalobillsproshop.com/main_de...%22%20T%2Dshirt
  22. That's the best thing to hope for.
  23. I told you guys that I wasn't worried about Jacksonville. They have had wayyyy too much luck lately. So...here's the updated list now... Ravens...knocked out by Steelers Jaguars...almost knocked out by Texans Jets...can help Bills get in if they lose out Broncos...Still alive, but playing the Colts next week
