  1. Yes, use Firefox.
  2. It's actually true... http://www.snopes.com/business/names/wd40.asp CW
  3. We need to protect trains from people like this. We should ban alcohol. CW

  5. Nice to see that you can discuss things like an adult. Oh, wait. Nevermind.
  6. Again, the difference that many seem to be missing is that the TSA is a *government agency* and we have the right to state our feelings about the government. The message board is a private forum, so there's a huge difference. Sadly, I appear to be in the minority which explains why our rights are being eroded. CW
  7. Actually, internet gambling is a definate gray area that has never really been challenged. The tricky part is that the gambling is being done overseas -- not in the States. There's a law that says you can't use telephone lines to place bets -- but that's an old law and doesn't really apply to the internet since it doesn't use phone lines (anymore). So nobody has challenged it one way or another. I'm not a lawyer, but this is what i've gathered from my online reading over the years. Here's a link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Online_gambling CW
  8. Yeah, their first couple albums were punk rock: http://www.amazon.com/Hold-Me-Up-Goo-Dolls...ie=UTF8&s=music http://www.amazon.com/Jed-Goo-Dolls/dp/B00...ie=UTF8&s=music (can't find their first self-titled album on Amazon...) Superstar Carwash was starting to go more mainstream, but still had some punk elements: http://www.amazon.com/Superstar-Car-Wash-G...ie=UTF8&s=music It was pretty much downhill after that http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goo_goo_dolls There's no doubt in my mind that they sold out. Do I blame 'em for the chance to make a ton of cash (and probably stay in music longer than they otherwise would've?). I guess not. But I do cringe everytime I hear one of their new songs because compared to the original stuff, it sucks, err, is "more polished and commercial in nature." CW
  9. Reminds me of the Goo Goo Dolls when they used to be punk. Now they've sold out and sing mainstream crap (IMHO)
  10. As opposed to people who lose their life savings (or their life in general) due to alcohol consumption? Bring back prohibition? CW
  11. They're already tested. Your proposal won't help anything. Again, I bring up the fact that NHL, NBA, and MLB refs are all full time but, surprise surprise, they still screw up as well. It's no different than a WR who runs the wrong route even though it's' their full time job. I'd also venture to guess that you yourself have made a mistake or two on your job. It's called being human. CW
  12. Huge difference there though. Smoking in a building has a negative influence on my health. Me playing poker in my house has no impact on you at all. That said, I never really minded places having a smoking section and a non-smoking section, as long as they weren't right next to each other so I didn't have to inhale the smoke. CW

  14. But that's not the point - for most people, it's simply entertainment. If I win a few bucks, great. If not, I still had fun. How is it any different than spending a few bucks for some beers? This isn't about "protecting the citizens from addiction," it's about Vegas lobbyists paying government to enact this law, and is also about the fact that the government can't figure out how to tax it. No tax revenue = ban. CW
  15. So what do you propose that the refs due from January (or Feb) through July? Sit and read books? Hockey refs are full time employees, and they still miss calls (No Goal, No Goal 2, etc). Football players are full-time as well, yet they frequently make mistakes. It's human nature, and I don't think making people full time is going to change that at all. I'd also add that it's a very tough job -- sign up to do highschool and see for yourself CW
  16. And again, how would full time refs help here? When I officiated football, we used to ask the coaches of both teams whether they had any trick plays they might use that we should be aware of during the game. It's helpful to know what things you might be seeing (such as a pooch kickoff like this). I wonder if they do that in the NFL. Cw
  17. Sunday Ticket is roughly $229 for the year. Superfan is $99, but most people get it for free (or $49, worst case). CW
  18. No, I'll have you detained for making threatening remarks.
  19. It means belinda.
  20. Well, let's get this over and become a police state then. It's the only way the government can keep us safe, and it's for our own good. The Bill of Rights and Constitution are just peices of paper. Our forefathers didn't want us to be free anyway, they just wanted us to be "safe." Please sir, may I have another?
  21. I wouldn't be surprised if the local networks complain in the near future and get that revoked as well.
  22. Fine -- if I'm standing outside the White House and yell, "Bush is an idiot!!!" I wouldn't be arrested/detained. That contextual enough for you? CW
  23. Oh, I agree! Just don't say that someone has played mistakefree
  24. What was the mistake? It was a craptacular pass that Price had to dive to the ground to catch.
