  1. Hit Parrish between the 1 & 1 and the announcers claim that it was broken up..... right....
  2. If he was brought in and played the Cleveland game then yes 7-4...... Maybe better or worse, I have no idea if he played the entire year, however the Cleveland game I certainly think with JP at QB, the Bills would have won.
  3. Congratulating on noting the anomolies, however that disregards the fact it was a terrible pass. No one throws a pass over a players shoulder on a 3 yard pass where there is no one within 10 yards. You lob the ball in to his chest.....
  4. If he is inept those 57 minutes where the opponents score 60 points, yes I will..... The Oakland & Jax games were close because he had long stretches where he was ineffective. We didn't take control vs. St. Louis until we scored a defensive TD and Seattle it was a punt return for TD, followed by good D that won those games.... Just the facts....
  5. Until the pass to Evans 22 minutes into the game he was terrible. The defense then took over and he really broke out on the last drive of the half. After the pass to Royal I was concerned that he had completely lost it. Again I would like to see 4 quarters, which we haven't seen this year (everyone does vs. SD). Would also be nice to see vs. a winning team.....
  6. Maybe my all time favourite game.... Great play after great play.... Now we are thrilled @ 250 yards and 2 TDs....
  7. They seemed pretty impatient with JP I'd say. Where would the Bills be now if Wilfork didn't cheap shot JP? Not meant as a pro JP post, but just a response.
  8. But this is what we are getting from Edwards.... Bad play in our wins for long periods vs. Seattle, Oakland, Jax, St. Louis, KC and bad play vs. Clev, Miami, NYJ & NE. 60 minutes is not too much to ask for 4-5 times per year.....
  9. redeemed by a great 20 minute stretch. Again I want to see a full 60 minutes (yea I know he was amazing vs. SD as is everyone). Very encouraging but I hope it continues. BTW the first 25 minutes, the pass to Royal was just a replay of the Cleveland game if not worse. Wish someone knew what happened all of a sudden at the 5:00 minute make of the second quarter when he hit Evans on the bomb.
  10. And that adjustment better have been made after the NE game where your best player was a non-entity........
  11. Again unacceptable. The NE game was bad enough, but to explain it away that the Brown's D, who gave up 1,000 yards the prior 2 weeks was confusing is not an answer. To not make adjustments or do anything is ludicrous.
  12. Yes it is serious. He did not look at him the entire day. There was not one play call to just get him the ball. Did they talk when they were on the side lines (Edwards, coaches, Evans)? Kelly always made sure Reed got the ball, everyone forces a few to TO, Manning/Harrison...... You can not go a game without throwing to your #1 receiver.... Has Edwards explained it or been asked? This comes after a lousy week where he ignored Evans vs. NE. A very serious question.
  13. Say it is not so.... The time he had in the pocket was incredible..... The secondary point is that if he could not pull the trigger because he was so shell shocked he should have been out of there at least for Monday night...... What were the coaches saying to him on the side lines? Did anyone see the interaction when he was off the field? Were they talking to him, reviewing the play book, pictures.....
  14. We know he was open during the game. He is our # 1 receiver and generally considered a good guy. Monday I have never seen anything like it.... Not a single pass in his direction and very little comment from anyone. We certainly know TO would have given an earful and a public display on the sidelines would certainly have been there for everyone to see. What Edwards did Monday was inexcusable, and deserves an explanation from him. This follows the NE game where nothing was done and few throws in general toward Evans. Oh yea..... Losman threw a nice TD pass to him in week 5 and he had a good game vs. SD.....
  15. Hard to tell, Edwards remember had no pressure the entire game, the running game was working and completed 6 passes downfield.... No all things considered, the game was pathetic. All the blame is on Edwards, not the play calling, the running game, the o-line..... that we usually can point to.
  16. I posted this in another topic. Lori did some legwork that truly highlights the terrible play of Trent Edwards...... See below.... That game Monday may have been the worst QB'd game I've ever seen, which includes Rob Johnson's game vs. Tennessee.... He did not throw one pass near Evans which is unacceptable and no one has asked him or the coaches to justify it.... He had all day to throw and did nothing. Lynch was getting basically laterals and only because of his running do the stats look good. The TD pass was all Lynch. I bet his 10 catches were net behind the LOS..... I have seldom seen a QB so out of it and you could not blame pressure or scrambling or being out of the pocket..... Heck he could have ran it a few times for some positive yards. As much as I dislike him, maybe TO could have knocked some sense in him, because he would have been in his face demanding the ball..... Remember 4 weeks ago eh was "better" then Jim Kelly according to some. Here is Lori's assessment..... Just incredible. I can not fathom what the coaches were saying to Edwards on the sideline. Defies logic that they did not pull him aside and B*t*hslap him and tell him to get his head into the game and throw it down field. That sounds about right, but now you've got me wondering. 2-11-BUF 30 (7:54) (Shotgun) 5-T.Edwards pass short left to 23-M.Lynch to BUF 34 for 4 yards (52-D.Jackson). Screen, caught at BUF 25. 17. That game Monday may have been the worst QB'd game I've ever seen, which includes Rob Johnson's game vs. Tennessee.... 18. "Marty Ball" is exactly what I thought. Even if he makes the kick there is 38 seconds left, which is too much against a team whose kicker just made a 56 yarder. There were so many options available. To think a coach would settle for a 47 yarder on an uncomfortable night, where they set up on the wrong hash mark with a kicker who was not overly accurate on his first two field goals defies explanation. Heck even on Edwards lousy swing passes to Lynch they were gaining positive yards. The number of options available were staggering and they just did not care or were paralyzed with fear to do anything. Reminds me of 2006 when they rolled over vs. Indy, NE and others because they refused to let Losman throw the ball.... Pathetic
  19. That is Edwards not the coaches.... 5 wide, 1 yard and you can't even scramble for a yard. Quit blaming the coaches. That was Edwards fault. The whole night was Edwards until the last three plays.....
  20. Yesterday was as bad as it gets. 3 decent passes the entire game, only one thrown toward Evans and 10 almost immediate checkdowns to Lynch. I have no problem with empty backfields and shotgun formations as when you have that many out in a pattern someone has to be open. Lynch was a beast yesterday, the line did a great job blocking and Edwards had all day to throw and did absolutely nothing. He was so bad that when he did make a play (pass to Royal), the coaching staff had no confidence that he could get them any closer. I was shocked at how bad he was. Every pass to Lynch was an almost immediate check down. The ints were just terrible passes. Wide open receivers in the end zone on 2 plays at the end of the half and Edwards just couldn't pull the trigger. And worst of all it is probably too late to put Losman back in and see if we made a mistake with him..... I'm at a loss, while I did not want to anoint Edwards, and often have posted my concerns that he did not have a real breakout, I thought he could be good.....
  21. The original email was a veiled commentary on what many are questioning about the Bills offense and their inability to generate offense running or passing. Much has been said that Trent has not done the job and not sure whether it is him or the offensive coordinator and the lousy play calling. Passing offenses should open up the running game. What exactly was your point in the OP if it was not to try defend Edwards??? The Bills have shown no desire to score, open up the offense and impose their will on opponents. Their wins frankly have been very mediocre. Where I have a problem is that they could be a whole lot better if they assert themselves and that comes by throwing the ball and scoring.
  22. Check the game log..... They held the ball, moved it up and down the field and frankly were weak in converting. However on the road in a tough stadium where they have not won since 2002, they controlled the game and scored 26 points.... They had poor field position. Score looked close as Seattle had 2 scoring drives under 15 yards. How about the Bills scoring on the road, controlled short passes like many teams can do? How about the threat of a long pass?
  23. I love another Edwards defender explaining how terrible 300 yard passing games are...... Hate to see them and winning too sucks..... What is wrong with 300 yards and 3 TD's???? Usually means a win.....
  24. I wasn't going to go through the entire NFL, but suffice to say everyone looks great vs. SD (Edwards included).... Only busts to this point have been Jamarcus Russell and Derrick Anderson (off the top of my head).... More surprises then busts for sure. One last point, The Steelers have the worst O Line I have seen this year and that is killing Ben....
  25. Loved all the Edwards hype and hope he is a good QB..... But face facts.... A passable Offensive Line, some imaginative play calling and if you have the ability, some smarts you can be a decent QB.... Take a look this year at the good play at the position.... Heck even Kerry Collins and Kyle Orton have looked good. First year QB's are playing well, Brady Quinn had a very good debut, Matt Cassell under a good system is looking like a star throwing 7 yard passes to Welker, and anyone vs. SD is the second coming of Joe Montana/Johnny Unitas/Tom Brady. Point is that again I want to see that next step from Edwards to see if we have the QB of the future. Please let's see it Monday.....
