  1. And before we start the TO/Garcia lovefest...... At least Garcia is a proven NFL QB, who can play if Fitz as bad as his career indicates and we can have Garcia once and for all prove how bad this Offense is or isn't..... Just a thought, not a long-term fix.....
  2. RJ put up a stat line that game that was beyond pathetic in all aspects...... We would have been 20 points ahead with some decent QB'ing...... Anyone remember RJ getting sacked 6 times, throwing for 140 yards (yes good by today's standard), giving up a safety? I will say his 30 yards passing on the final drive was well timed. The defense that day was superb, and deserved all the credit for keeping us in the game..... Amazing that anyone still defends his performance that day.
  3. Look at all the fun games involving 300+ passing and then look at the bills..... They won 16-13..... Wow........ Yesterday you could watch Brady, Brees, Flacco, Rothlesberger, Gerrard, Rogers, Schaub and Cutler all throw for 300 and the two losses both went down to the last play....... Ughh we are masochists watching the Bills......
  4. +1.... And then they screwed it up starting RJ vs. Tennessee...... Thanks to the Op for reminding me of 1999.....
  5. The Pats game was padded on the last drive with one nice pass to TO (19 yards), which was followed up with 2 sacks and then a meaningless 25 yard desperation pass the final play and the laterals that ensued..... Otherwise it was another 170 yard day. Sorry but how sad are Bills fans that they are excited about a game like that..... How about 22/31 for 320 and 3 TDs???? That will get my attention. Also wow 5/5 43 yards and he overthrew an open TO (holding was called on the play).....
  6. Add Gerrard, and a loss for Flacco when their kicker missed a game winning FG.... BTW, how boring those 300 yard passing games are....
  7. And today already we have Shaub, Rogers, Rothlisberger, Brees over 300....... Guess what all ahead.....
  8. Three of those losses were games where both QB's threw for 300 yards. Other losses include SD/Raven, where Philip Rivers threw for 430 and they were at the 10 yard line when the game ended. Washington losing to Detroit, again Washington was driving to win Carolina vs. Atlanta where Delhomme had a chance to tie the game late and Aaron Rogers and GB vs. Min where again if it was not for mistakes and a terrible line, GB also had a chance.... So there you have it, 300 yards in losses not necessarily just padding stats, which some pretend is the case.....
  9. I've been complaining about the late starts and only one 1:00pm games to date. We have both the Giants/Saints and Ravens/Vikings @ 1:00...... I really never thought I'd say how happy I was knowing the Bills were playing @ 4:15 and I can enjoy some great games earlier in the day....
  10. I love people upset with this stat and continue to salivate over running.... All I ask is for a few 300 yard games per season (6) and watch the difference it makes in all facets of the game. Also note that some of the 300 yard pass game losses were vs. Opposing teams that also threw for 300 yards..... BTW the #1 reason I want to see 300 passing yards is that it usually equates to an exciting/fun game.....
  11. Would DJ have been fired after the 2008 season? Would a new coach hired at the end of 2008 been the difference? Don't know, but couldn't be worse. BTW how did the gap in the NFL become so huge? All teams were supposed to be 8-8..... This year the # of terrible teams is staggering. Sorry if this has been brought up before.
  12. Yep, always someones fault...... O-line, receivers, coaching.....
  13. No it was a simple read by the DB. TO did not have a chance on the pass. A lousy read and a terrible pass..... Still waiting to see a pass that hit the receiver in stride that is not a screen pass.
  14. As he threw the first one, I could see it was going to be returned for a TD. The second one was also a much too easy read. TO caught one under thrown ball as did Lee Evans. Have the TE apologists tried to convince people that they were under thrown on purpose? Really sad watching the team.
  15. And this week he had him and overthrew him by 5 yards on what may have been his only deep pass of the game against a team that gives up yards and has a so-so defense.... This week on the road vs. a good D.... I expect a boring game..... Ughhhhh
  16. It's not gambling, it's what good QB's do. If they are being intercepted 20+ X's a season or throwing 3 bad int's per game then yes it may be gambling (see Derek Anderson Sunday). QB's have to throw tough passes at times. Take a look at this week's games, yes ints were thrown, but not a huge amounts and not by good QB's.....
  17. And at home TB has allowed 397 and 471 yards...... Yes a great offensive game vs. a terrible team. These examples are few and far between.
  18. Well done, good catch.... I know I have beaten this drum. What was interesting is when the love affair with TE started, no one cared, though I consider it a sad indictment on the Bills offense and the boredom that seemed to be part of every Sunday's Bills Game, even the wins were seldom fun. Today the stat was actually brought up on WGR550 from two of TE's biggest supporters Schoop and The Bulldog, which means some others finally see the significance of a 300 yard game. Heck JP's gone, I'd be happy to see 300 yards from TE and a game where the chains are moving all game, few punts and 450+ yards of offense. A man can dream, can't he....
  19. No, we got at least 2 with Losman, the last being vs. Houston approximately 340 yards..... Point is that it is ridiculous to go that long. As said I compare it to a 100 yard rusher, which I know the purists on here will expound on over and over....
  20. We can't do it when the other team is in prevent mode and there have been plenty of teams in prevent mode against buffalo over those 39 games. I have commented that I'd like to see a 300 yard game, and don't think that is asking too much of a decent QB/team. Think if the Bills have gone 39 games without a rusher gaining 100 yards in a game. Yesterday there were 8 300 yard passers and only 4 rushers over 100 yards.
  21. I know it is just a number and there are many here who have more interest in winning then enjoyable football, but it is a telling stat for a team that has a losing record. Sure the Giants didn't need to throw for 300 yesterday to beat TB, and some games we really did not big offensive #'s, but wouldn't it be nice to watch a fun exciting offensive team. How much fun would it be to score 34 points a game on offense on a regular basis? I watch football to be entertained and we have not seen many games we truly would call entertaining in a while.
  22. Please, Matt Stafford in his first career start put up points. Matt Kolb also threw for big yards, and so at home Trent and our offense can't get a single point!!!! Good thing we have Brian Morrman..... Again TE had a good game vs. a lousy, lousy team (TB) and everyone calls it a great game. Then he delivers this. I won't blame him 100%, but the playcalling continues to be suspect and he refuses to throw it downfield. Just amazing the inability to complete a pass to a wideout. This was the first time in probably 3 years I picked against Buffalo in my pool (point spread) as I expected NO to score more... I expected to see a 41-24 loss..... Very upset with the O, but that is nothing new.....
  23. Used to be 12-14 1:00 kickoffs, which worked perfectly. A 4:00 or Monday was a surprise and nice change. I dislike the 4:00 pm games too.....
  24. And the odds of kicking it long and forcing a fumble???? Damn that Belichek is a genius since it worked..... Fine, show me the stats.... I am sure it is higher then 10% over the past decade.
