  1. I didn't spell it wrong, I just regressed it toward the mean.
  2. And that's wrong. Just because Wikipedia's incorrect definition of "heritability" matches your incorrect definition of "heritability", doesn't make it right.
  3. Trust me, there wasn't much overall usefulness in discussing it with you to begin with. Hell, you still haven't twigged to the fact that Weiss himself says in the paper itself that his "study" is flawed. You can't read, can't do math, and don't understand anything you're saying. I could have a more intelligent conversation with a rock than with you.
  4. Yeah, sure. Let me know when that actually starts happening outside the confines of your imagination.
  5. One BIG difference being that for the most part the Yugoslavian factions didn't have outside powers fostering the instability, as is happening in Iraq. It's a lot easier to pursue an insurgent campaign when you have a mommy to run to when things get rough.
  6. Stupidity; stupidity; stupidity; issues don't win elections, vitrol does; and stupi-...er, no.
  7. You forgot the most important part: accuse everyone else of trying to confuse the issue.
  8. If it were week 16 and Indy was 14-0 going in, I might be tempted to agree with you. But it's week 10. Indy has seven more chances to lose after this one.
  9. 4, not 14. And wargames, not intelligence. And the results of wargames may or may not become dated in 4 years. Depends on the wargame. And wargames can be notoriously unreliable, as well. Often, when one is run, it's biased by one's preconceived notions (e.g. in the Japanese wargames before Midway, the referees would discard "unrealistic" results - such as the Japanese carrier force being sunk in its entirety - on the grounds of "Oh, that could never happen."). Reality has a very nasty way of biting theory in the ass on not infrequent occasions.
  10. "The world will be destroyed, most experts agree, by accident. That's where we come in. We're computer professionals, we cause accidents."
  11. So having a tool in your rectum is illegal in San Francisco? Who'd've thunk it?
  12. ...protect us from over-breeding Morlocks. You're a bigger idiot than he is. Why should I listen to you? Plus...you're once again "regressing toward the mean" (sic).
  13. It's not hard, all he has to do is ask everyone what their kids want to be when they grow up.
  14. That is exactly what I'm talking about: that is the definition of inheritability. "Heritability" is something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.
  15. I had it last week. But it's getting better.
  16. Why not? It makes sense. Take Losman out on a high note, so he doesn't make a bad play and damage his confidence. It's the perfect time to put in Nall...
  17. Nope, nothing. 80 minutes 'til the Sabres game. I'll wake you up for it.
  18. You know...decent blocking for once, wide-open receiver behind the entire defense...Losman still looked like warmed-over sh--.
  19. Hideous. Was no one in position to make that call?
  20. Not me. I absolutely think Losman can be blamed for this. Doesn't mean calling for Nall is sane.
  21. What's their gross passing? About 175?
  22. I'm not advocating benching Losman in mid-season, mind you. The idiots calling for Nall without having ever seen him play a down are just that: idiots. I am advocating another rebuilding year, however. Sorry, Takeo.
