  1. My 13 year old son just started watching football last year and I am amazed at what he has picked up X's and O's wise simply by playing Madden.  He is able to call out coverages now and then when we are at the game and he will identify where Josh should go with the ball based on the look the defense is showing...and he's usually right!  Smarter than me, which admittedly isn't saying much.

Beasley was not a YAC guy with us at the end of his time.  Only 3.7 yards per catch is very low.  He is a reliable option to catch the ball which is why i want him.  Give Josh that security blanket so when he needs a play to go well he can sling one to Beasley with ease.  But after the catch I dont expect much from him.

Well aware...I was just surprised that he caught the ball in the clip and didn't go to ground.

I realize that you are talking about the D, but that game had no Morse and by the end we were playing the third string center. Knox, Bates and Brown were hooked up to IVs in the locker room by the start of the 4th.

The icing on that injury-riddled cake...Tommy Doyle finishing out the game on his torn ACL simply because there was no one left to take snaps on the O line.  Warrior.

I think they would still pick up the digital signals with a converter antenna. I remember the FCC giving a credit to anyone who purchased one in the late oughts.

EDIT: also, people who are color-blind would only be able to see in grayscale I think (or monochrome?), even with a color TV.

Nah, most colour blind people don't actually see the world in black and white or grayscale...that is only in the most severe cases.  Back when my kids were playing 'Among Us' I saw the best example of how a colour blind person sees the world...they gained a bit of appreciation for how I see things.  They still make fun of me though.  The colour blind will always be the one group that is fair game :)

Cook and Hines (on return) have shown real speed and explosiveness.

    Get them the ball.

5 Spread with Diggs Davis Shakir Cook Hines
2 WR Diggs Davis, 1 TE Knox, 2 RB  Cook Hines

I really like the idea of showing 21 with Hines and Cook in the backfield and then motioning one or both out wide to create coverage mismatches.  Then we can see something like this...

As good as Singletary looks lately.. I’m ready for James Cook to be the lead back.

Would love to see him and Knox continue to be a bigger focus moving forward.  Especially after them both having strong games on Sunday.

It likely won’t happen, re: Cook, because our staff is loyal to a fault at times .. but he looks explosive, capable of running between the tackles and has a knack of falling forward for 2-3 yards when there isn’t anything there.

It’s not even really a knock on Singletary.. I just think, given how teams are playing us, along with our own internal issues, we need explosiveness in other areas.    Easiest way to find that is by handing/pitching it directly to Cook & Hines.

I'm just happy that Cook is getting the carries that Moss would infuriatingly take away from Motor.

Let's keep this running game going. I want to see Cook break a long one. I feel it coming.

EDIT: ALSO Can we execute some screen plays? We've got to be bottom of the league in screen attempts. I don't care if we need to summon Chan Gailey Weekend at Bernie's 2 style. Seeing Chubb and Hunt rip off chunks from screen passes made me envious. Cook and Hines have the wheels to take it the distance any given play.

I was surprised after the game when I heard that the Browns only had 80 yards on the ground, then realized it seemed like mote because of all those screens...passing game as an extension of the run game and all that.

They are jacked up.... $70-$80 next to Ford Field. Download the Parkwiz parking app or the Best Parking app and pre-book. There are cheaper lots available, but a bit of a walk.

Thanks, already booked a spot through Parkwiz.  A “bit of a walk” at Ford Field is like parking in the back of Lot 7 at Highmark…not too bad.

Nemo’s bar is great. Stiff drinks. They also provide a shuttle to and from Ford field.

I remember drinking in the Nemo’s overflow (aka the parking lot) after Kenny Rogers beat the crap out of the Yankees in the 2006 playoffs.  The city was jumping that night.  My brother and I walked (stumbled/staggered) back from Nemo’s to our downtown hotel at 2am…not sure how we made it.

That said…I second @shane nelsonwith Greektown and Shillelagh’s.  Fishbones is a great spot to eat as well…Cajun and sushi makes a surprisingly amazing combo.
