Yeah, Travis played through injuries and he had injuries with his ribs, but I don't remember the injuries ever being so serious. Willis' broken rib is right near his lung and he could get killed out on the field if he gets hit the wrong way. I'd rather go with Anthony Thomas for a few weeks and let Willis heal up before we throw him in there and risk getting him seriously and I mean seriously hurt.

I feel the exact same way, I've been patient and I've supported him 100% until watching that game, I'm starting to doubt what he can do. I'm still behind him and I'm still cheering for him just as I was before, but I'm starting to get worried now.
-
Exactly.
-
he is the real deal, you give it up. Get Schaub!
-
I havn't heard it before but it wouldn't surprise me, that would explain the struggles in the playoffs. Just because you call a lot of audibles doesn't mean you're a great leader...

Age of TBD Poster who is for or against JP
CFLstyle replied to diver's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
16 Give him the rest of this year and make him fight for the job in camp again next year, unless he's not showing any progression down the stretch this season, then they need to acquire Matt Schaub for next season. -
Now come on let's get real here, as big a JP supporter as I am, this was not one of his better games, he simply didn't have to do anything to win the game, even his touchdown pass was pretty much handed to him. Often times he held on to the the ball for too long now the offensive line struggled in pass protection again I'll give you that but there were still a few of those sacks that should have been avoided by simply either dumping the ball off to the check down receiver or throwing it away. That being said, taking the sacks are better than throwing interceptions. Now his touchdown pass to Evans was underthrown by quite a bit but I'll give JP the benifit of the doubt on that one he was wide open and JP had some pressure in his face, it was actually a great effort by him to get it up there. He did miss a touchdown pass earlier and yes Evans dropped it but that was because the defender had the hand in his face, if JP puts 5 more yards on that ball it's an easy touchdown. Overall, Losman was good because he walks away with the W at the end of the game, which is much more important than any other stat. But looking at it from a performance point of view, he didn't do anything, he played a very low-risk style of game and didn't turn the ball over which isn't bad, but it's nothing to get excited about - He should have been at this stage last season.

These last 9 games should let us know
CFLstyle replied to JStranger76's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The only ones I don't like are Gandy and Reyes. They are ideal backups, perfect to come off the bench. Obviously we don't know much about Pennington but I think one thing we do know is that Fowler and Peters are a lock for next season. The best way to patch up this offensive line in my opinion is to find replacements for Reyes and Gandy. Of course I'm no expert on offensive lineman. -
Bills aren't playing the Patriots this weekend
-
And what would you have done?
-
Good special teams player but we have enough special teams gems on our team, offense is the most of our concerns right now. Hell if he's available though and willing to sign for cheap, why not pick him up?
-
Who would you rather have over Losman?
CFLstyle replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd rather have Losman over Losman, Losman has a much stronger arm, he's quick and intelligent. Imagine if we had Losman, this team would be Superbowl bound, we'd be much better off than we are with Losman. The problem with Losman is that while he has all the attributes to be a great quarterback, he's can't seem to mature. Losman on the other hand is brilliant, just brilliant. My second option is Cutler. Hes's simply incredible, I'm convinced this guy is a sure hall of fame quarterback and he's yet to play a down in the NFL (regular season of course). The Broncos will be happy for year to come, Cutler in my mind is a mirror image of the great Brett Favre. -
Evans not cutting it as #1 WR ...
CFLstyle replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Evans is fine, if you compare his stats at this point last year to this year's stats, they will likely be very similar. In each of his first two seasons he's had slow starts and torn it up in the second half of the season. I wouldn't be surprised if this trend continues and he has a dominant second half of the season. I believe that he will have a big time game tomorrow against the Packers, his and Losman are going to have a field day, even against Harris. The jury's still out on Price, he hasn't been very effective but it's hard to say whether that's because of him or the inconsistancy from Losman. -
Bills need your continued support
CFLstyle replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
People just get frustrated watching miserable football, as much pride as we have in this team sometimes you gotta show frustration when things are looking down. -
I wouldn't trade for Edge, as good a running back as he is, nobody can run in AZ I don't see that suddenly changing. Plus McGahee is getting the ball more than any other running back, he's going to start finding the endzone sooner than later.
-
Carr should bounce back nicely, he's your best bet.
-
If I were in this position I would probably go with Colston and Driver along with Ward. Ward is off to a tough start but I'd expect him to have a breakout game any time now, I like Stallworth but hammy is a tough injury to risk.
-
Looks to be pretty much even IMO, I think losing Vick or Brees will be a shot in the foot but you're getting a fantastic running back in Rudi and a decent WR in Brown. Of course seeing as how you only need to start 1 QB this trade puts you in a much better position, I would be moving Brees a lot quicker than Vick though.

David Carr, figured he would light up the Titans' defense... -
Henry was better than McGahee statistically and he was the man here for a couple of years, but when he and McGahee were on the teams and were splitting carries towards the beginning of the season, McGahee was outperforming Henry by a longshot and in this league there's no loyalty for fan favourites, teams will go with the best player and that's why McGahee was named the starter.

I Fear That Right Around The Corner
CFLstyle replied to Buffalo Baumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If we decide that we're done with JP Losman, we need to go with a veteran. Why throw a young quarterback who may or may not have reached his full potential under the bus just for another rookie who will take a couple more years to develop. We don't even know if the guy will turn out decent anyways. I think there's a few possibilities and they do not include drafting a rookie. We can a: stick with Losman (which would be better than starting over with a raw rookie anyways...) b: go with Holcomb (Already tried this, didn't work out too well although he seems like the type of quarterback who can manage a game, this option is not recommended though.) c: go with Craig Nall (Not a bad idea, he's been behind Favre for a while, he looks to have moderate to decent throwing power and accuracy, he's not the most agile but he's not a statue either, and it wouldn't take long to find out if he's the man or not.) d: Sign a free agent vet (Leftwich will likely be done in Jacksonville it seems they like Garrard, now I don't like Leftwich very much and I don't think he is the answer, but it is a possibility. The other key name is Matt Shaub, from what we've seen this guy in outstanding, his accuracy is great and he's got a strong arm too, pretty hard to question his decision making, and he's agile as well. We know the Falcons won't be needing him as they have Vick, and Schaub is too good to be a backup, so availability won't be an issue. Now he's a restricted free agent so someone would have to fill me in on what it would take to sign him, I'm unfamiliar with this.) e: Drafting a rookie. (As already mentioned this is not the answer.) a, c, and d are the best in my opinion. -

I'm starting to feel the same way, I've been a fan of his since he was drafted and I still am, but if he doesn't get his stuff together by the end of this season, I will be one person pushing for a guy like Matt Schaub, he would be the ideal quarterback for this team. Still behind JP Losman here don't get me wrong, but time will only tell how patient I can be... -
O-line shuffle won't help as much as playcalling
CFLstyle replied to bluv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nice post, I couldn't agree more. I just don't get some of the stuipid plays these guys are running, but the worst thing is the Bills NEVER make half-time adjustments, on more than one occasion this season the Bills have been good on offense in the first half, then come out dead in the second half. Another thing is the trick plays, that's one thing that Mularky could do right was trick plays, he had a lot of nice ones. A few of them were duds, but for the most part I enjoyed seeing them. The trick plays this season have been just bad, I mean they line up Reed at QB and Losman at WR, there's not even any surprise to that at all. And the timing was awful too... -

ha, the Refs might as well just wear Patriots' jerseys for all the NFL games. -
Nate Clements Touted #3 Top Free Agent ...
CFLstyle replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Clements weren't demanding so much money he's be a great corner to have around, he's not the top notch corner he claims to be, but he's still a solid reliable corner. I've noticed McGee hasn't been as good on kick off returns, maybe it's just me though. Wouldn't mind seeing him go back to the nickel which would likely make him more effective on kickoffs. Of course, if Clements leaves, we're in a real mess.
