  1. And all I'm saying is that past events don't necessarily have any impact on the future. Just because Cowher tanked his previous chances at a Super Bowl victory didn't mean he couldn't go out and finish the job. And just because Brown has had injuries in the past (as long as they aren't chronic injuries) doesn't mean he'll go out there and do the same again.

Okay. I still think he's injury prone.

  2. Running backs frequently get hurt. McGahee was hurt, Henry was hurt. They often played through the pain, but who's to say if they would have if they had the same injuries as Brown.

To me, saying Brown is an injury waiting to happen is not much different than saying Cowher or Dungy could never win the big one. Which is what a lot of people were saying.

I'm just saying what I know. The man gets dinged up and ends up missing time often.

  3. He's been hurt pretty much every year. Although IMO they have been somewhat freakish injuries. Two toes, a hamstring and an ankle. But the nagging injuries kept him in and out of the line-up. To me, it's impossible to say whether he is brittle or just unlucky.

    :yeahthat:

he's pretty much been a given for the injury report whenever he was getting significant PT

  4. jon beason got sh------- workout numbers, but he's a friggin player. against fsu the 2 (or 3) years he played them, he was damn near unblockable every game. not that fsu's offense was a powerhouse by any means, but he was a player that fsu knew had to be accounted for and never was.

i wouldn't mind grabbing him with our 2nd/3rd round pick, if he falls that far.

  5. haha. i remember many mocks had us picking him. instead we picked... mike williams? and i was thinking, 'damn... ryan sims looks like he's going to be a stud.' all the pre-draft scouting reports were glowing.

    draft = crapshoot.

  6. There's only one question to ask (if you believe that EM would be a model citizen upon returning) -- is he a better #2 option than anything on the Bills' roster?

If your answer is yes, then he's worth a look.

I honestly don't know where Marv & Co. would stand on that. I have significant questions myself.

    my thoughts exactly.

  7. Someone asked him how he can claim to be the best RB in the NFL when he only rushed for 990 yards last year. He said "my situation in Buffalo was not good last year. Teams were able to play 9 in the box against us because if they could stop me they would win." He said now that he is on a team with good receivers a good QB and an offensive line he will have much better numbers.

"my situation in buffalo wasn't a good one. teams could just blitz their safeties against me knowing that i can't block"

  8. Vision wise, catching ability...YES. Athletic ability...NO.

Seriously, the guy will probably have a career more like another Faulk...Kevin. His lack of speed (which was apparent even in the college game) will never allow him to become a feature back (IMO). But the guy just always seemed to know exactly what seam to hit or when to cut to maximize his yards per play. He knew (completely unlike Willis recently) when falling forward for 2 yards was the right move over dancing. He knew when to drop down and dive forward for an extra few and he was an artist on screen passes. Dude caught 100 passes over the past two years in addition to running for almost 2500.

I'd love to see him in a Bills jersey.

ehhh.. wtf? the one good thing about lorenzo booker is he is blazingly fast. did you see him catch that swing pass against penn state 2 years ago and outrun the entire defense?

and he had a habit of dancing way too much- just like ny nole said. i don't know if that's just how he runs the ball or if it was a byproduct of fsu's offense.
