from what i've read that washington fans said about him, he played horribly last year and his best years are behind him.
-
I'm a FSU fan, and Timmons didn't do anything to impress me. If it came down to choosing between Timmons and Jon Beason, I'd take Beason.
-
I had low expectations for him when the Bills signed him last year, however I had no idea he could be such a special teams ace.
As the "gunner" on punt coverage, he always seemed to be in the face of the punt returner immediately.
I wouldn't blame him if he is looking for a more expanded offensive role somewhere else, though.
Exactly. He had a huuuuge part in our punt/kick coverage rankings being so good.

Greenway was on IR the whole season and Booby Carpenter didn't record a tackle until Week 9. By that time Donte Whitner had about 50 tackles, a pick, some great pass breakups and an NFL Rookie of the Month award under his belt. Yet somehow his future is bleak and Carpenter could step in for Spikes?
And arguing that Whitner would have been available at 15 is like arguing that Doug Flutie would have been the Titans. Plausible theory, but no possible way to prove. Yet the tenacity and self-assuredness I've seen people argue both scenarios is impressive. But in the end, what's the point? We have what he have and being pissed about it is an exercise in futility.
heh. way to put a hole in his theory.

i'd like to re-sign him, he's a hell of a ST player.

awaiting spinoff threads of "bills could start 1-7... 2-6... 3-5.. 4-4.. 5-3... 6-2... and 7-1" in 3... 2...

What the hell is a Lisfranc injury?

Sorry to steal your thunder bizell, I must have missed that thread. In any rate, I'm anxious to see his pro day results on thursday - if he runs well, I think he could really move up alot of people's boards.
no stealing of thunder, just noting how great minds think alike

i'm another nole fan that thinks beason would be a hell of a pick-up.
actually, (look at post#5)

i think i said pretty much the exact same thing a while ago.

You really have to be a completely braindead jizzmopper not to know that Lee Evans is the best WR in the AFC East.
...containing laughter...

kevin curtis is better than lee evans

Darwin Walker himself has 1.5 less sacks (26.5) in the past 5 years than all of our DTs since 2002.
-
THE SKY IS FALLLLING
-
another interesting fact - even as bad as walker is (per philly fans), he still almost tied for the team lead in sacks ...
what's that say about him/philly's defense?
-
Well, those numbers are skewed by the fact that Kearse only played 4 games in 2002 and 2 last year. But I did read that Walker had the most sacks (or 2nd most) sacks by a DT over that time period.
staying healthy is a key factor in a player's production... yeah, it is skewed but i still think it's a good stat, especially when philly fans are saying how bad walker sucked.
-
sacks last 5 years:
jevon kearse-29
darwin walker- 26.5
-
if we do get him, hopefully he does better than the last guy we got from Houston
-
The images of the Tedy bowl in New England are burned into my mind with Holcomb. End of the game last series for the Bills, enough said.
Later.

First we have a blogger who has talks that are apparently heating up with Buffalo, and now we have an actual Buffalo News reporter Al Wilson playing ILB.
I know he seems like a big guy but I don't know if I like him at ILB vs sports reporter.
he played the mike in denver .... ??
