  1. That's an exceptionally valid question, but one that doesn't really make the point that the coaches are to blame considering they did more with less last year. If they could solve the red zone conundrum we wouldn't be having this conversation. They need...NEED to figure out what they do well in the redzone and !@#$ing stick to it. But the truth is, we haven't done ANYTHING well in the redzone. Pass, run, play action, it's all been a bust. You can't blame the guy for trying. At this point, it's worth being optimistic knowing we're running out of things to fail at!
  2. I am genuinely glad you remember the exact same rounds I did five years ago re: Jauron. The one time I've ventured from the it's the players, stupid argument was when it came to Wannestache. I !@#$ing hated that clown.
  3. To wit, both QB's you named are better than ours AND they played with remarkable defenses. I didn't mean to nitpick on how good or bad or defense is. I'm honestly wondering if you can point to a team that's analogous to ours. That was his seventh season.
  4. Alex Smith is much, MUCH better than any QB we've had since Kelly. Ditto future Hall of Famer Big Ben. So there's that. Did you have any other QB's in mind? Or do they all come with top-5 defenses unlike what we have/had?
  5. I've challenged every one of your sweeping generalizations with specifics. You continue to ignore them. I don't expect to change your mind. And yes, I'm arguing to argue. Heaven forbid we inject some reality into the frothing !@#$ THE COACH AND PUT HIS !@#$ING HEAD ON A SPIKE threads.
  6. If you cram one salient point inside a bunch of horse **** sarcasm, it doesn't really make your case any more concrete. I will gladly concede that they entered 2013 with the wrong coaching formula to adequately engineer an offense. But that was like 18 months ago. Marrone has since admitted the error...AND done things to fix it. Are we also going to use this as an opportunity to B word about drafting Aaron Maybin?
  7. Who cares what's happening in Cleveland? Do you think they'll beat us next week? Do you think they'll finish the season with a better record than us? I don't. And so because Marrone used to coach Drew Brees, Kyle Orton should...? By your own admission, you've said up and down on this board that Kyle Orton is, and always has been, !@#$ing lousy. How now is it Marrone's fault?
  8. And yet to make that point you've highlighted the sub-par talent they have at the most important position. Show me the coaches that win with quarterbacks as bad or worse than ours, please. And try not to stretch too far to tell me the situation in Arizona is analogous, please.
  9. You can't back away from a flimsy assertion and call it "hyperbole" when its sentiment matches that of your last 200 posts, homey.
  10. Yeah? You think honestly think it falls in his lap when the four quarterbacks...FOUR...FOUR !@#$ING QUARTERBACKS...running his offense over the last 26 games are average on their best days? Right, unlike the defensive and special teams coordinators you never B word about who get their marching orders from...Russ? No wait, he sucks too. I don't know, I guess we are to assume that Marrone only handles the things about our team that sucks. That's what would need to happen for your assessment to be logical.
  11. No, he's winning because he's an exceptionally good coach. We don't have one of those. Nor do we have an exceptionally bad coach, as 90% of the 'fans' here would have you believe.
  12. Fixed? How does that work? Did you watch the game??
  13. When asked for specifics you provided misinformation and more sweeping generalizations and then resorted to personal attacks. I think your case speaks for itself now.
  14. Came here to post Freddy. Welp, see ya.
  15. This is a complete non sequitur. It also has ZERO to do with what we were talking about.
  16. The argument always begins with people like me asserting that our talent isn't good enough in the areas where people want to blame coaches. Then, if you hang around and challenge the play-calling-mob enough, eventually their thesis gets back to all the things the coach fails to do to account for our woeful lack of talent. So, you know, they'll tell you it's the egg because the chicken is to blame.
  17. So, again, unless the coaches do...what I'm not sure...because the QB is lousy, they suck? But mostly because the QB is lousy? You have very incredible hindsight. It's right up there with your ability to make a point!
  18. In the four games prior, two close games were put in his hands and he won them. So...yeah.
  19. Hahaha. Okay. So take every throw Orton has missed in the past and remove them from the playbook. And until you do that, until you account for how ****ty he is, you're a bad coach? Nice.
  20. Well, the #1 ranked pass defense let two receivers run wide open into the endzone. So, I'm not sure how that factors in. Also, this Orton fella, wasn't it only two games prior that he threw two passes (one on 4th and 20) the other down to the half yard line to set up a THIRD pass, the game winner? So...? That never happened? I'm confused. And if you're saying our coaches suck because our QB sucks...congrats, you just made my point for me.
  21. That shifts the disadvantage to next week.
  22. And again, two of them would have netted go-ahead TD's had the thrown been anywhere near where it was supposed to be. So, I'm sorry. What are you trying to convince me? That the those playcalls sucked?
  23. And yet, those two runs netted a single yard. So, take everything that happened to that point and forget about it.
  24. You said 6 in a row. So, if you have to make **** up to make your case...well, then your case sucks.
