  1. Give me a break. Like George Bush the first and the second... like Boehner. They all golf at times when you think they shouldn't. I have no problem with them having a little break. I do not expect them to be running 24/7/365 either. Side note" Most people honor those who died for our country in many different ways. They do it on facebook, on twitter, before they have dinner with family and friends, etc., etc. Point is that honor those who fought and died for our country does not have to be a day long event. It can be five minutes in heavy prayer.
  2. What a colossal waste of taxpayer money. Come on PPP let's hear the outrage!!! http://ridgewood.patch.com/articles/christie-lands-in-bergen-county-for-sons-baseball-game#photo-6344157
  3. So you honestly believe he did it.
  4. Are we part of the UN? Ummm yeah, so we are signing off on policies we don't believe in? Bottom line is that Walker lied and was wrong. He went AGAINST the Will of the People.
  5. Let's face it... if you were the CEO of a company you would be golfing and having others below you working weekends to get things in order. This is a "who gives a crap" story. I think they are right... no matter what he does you would be pissed about him.
  6. YEAH, if you don't like being treated like crap, working for pennies or unsafe working conditions... go find another job. For example, Article 23 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights identifies the ability to organise trade unions as a fundamental human right, while item 2(a) of the International Labour Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work defines the “freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining” as an essential right of all workers. Consider the Bill of Rights of the South African Constitution, which guarantees that “Every trade union, employers’ organization and employer has the right to engage in collective bargaining.” In 2007, the Supreme Court of the State of Missouri held that Missouri’s state constitution also protected the right to collective bargaining for public employees. And most strongly, the Supreme Court of Canada ruled in a case disputing whether a constitutional guarantee of freedom of association includes procedural right to collective bargaining, finding that collective bargaining is indeed a human right: The right to bargain collectively with an employer enhances the human dignity, liberty and autonomy of workers by giving them the opportunity to influence the establishment of workplace rules and thereby gain some control over a major aspect of their lives, namely their work… Collective bargaining is not simply an instrument for pursuing external ends…rather [it] is intrinsically valuable as an experience in self-government… Collective bargaining permits workers to achieve a form of workplace democracy and to ensure the rule of law in the workplace. Workers gain a voice to influence the establishment of rules that control a major aspect of their lives.
  7. Whether in the State or Federal Government if they are going against the "Will of the People" it's still going against the "Will of the People". So forcing a person to buy a product is different that forcing your beliefs on the people and taking away their rights? OK Exactly, there are a millions polls out there... I could find one that matches my viewpoint just like he found one that matches his. Rasmussen shows one viewpoint. Then you have: http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2011/01/18/cnn-poll-half-favor-repealing-health-care-law/ http://www.upi.com/Top_News/US/2011/01/19/Poll-Fix-dont-repeal-healthcare-law/UPI-75771295445325/ http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20029123-503544.html
  8. Not idiotic. Against the "Will of the People" is against the "Will of the People" Either they are doing what the majority of their constituents want or not.
  9. When someone is saying a Bill or anything is going against the "Will of the People" I think you can compare the two. Democracy — "By popular usage, however, the word "democracy" come to mean a form of government in which the government derives its power from the people and is accountable to them for the use of that power."
  10. And there were other Federal Judges that ruled in favor of the Healthcare plan. So what? And why add the "Liberals part? So it's ok for Walker to go against the Will of the people on something HE believes will "protect" taxpayers. You do realize that union members pay taxes right? You also realize he admitted that removing Collective Bargaining Rights has no financial impact?
  11. Tom are you an expert on everything Egypt and Gaza now? If so, I'll just add that to the list.
  12. Show me stats that represent the majority.. something that includes democrats as well. What unconstitutional things? Are you for what Scott Walker was doing to unions in Wisconsin? He was going against the will of the people.
  13. So the crux of this whole post is that Obama is "getting away" with things because he's black? How F'ing stupid. I also like how it says the he's going against the "will of the people"... more less the "will of the right". Appreciate his opinion... just don't agree with it.
  14. For me they shouldn't be taking money away from areas like Homeland Security, etc. in order to help out these victims. Your fault. However we're talking about predatory lending.. not a simple 10k loan
  15. Of course I do. Shouldn't the banks be held to certain guidelines? After all they knew what they were doing. When anyone goes to get a loan the banks always want you to prove that you can afford the loan. If you can't... no loan. In this case they were still offered the loan and unfortunately to dumb and took it.
  16. One could say that... but it wasn't just the middle-class that did this. Ultimately it was the banks offering loans to people they knew couldn't afford them. Not up to the individual, that's why banks want financial statements, pay stubs, etc to see if they can actually afford the loan.
  17. Not arguing any point simply saying there are many sides to this issue. Which one trumps the other?
  18. I think she's good looking. Not great, but good.
  19. hahaha. I am more conservative than people think. To many all democrats are far left liberals. Not the case here.
  20. They are basically the same thing... only difference is one is willing to cut anything and everything in order to save or curtail spending / difference in budgetary beliefs. Non-Tea Party Republicans at times are more willing to compromise... which CAN separate them at times. Do you understand now? I do love how as soon as a Republican doesn't vote the "correct" way they are mocked.
  21. Doesn't the government have a constitutional obligation to protect a person's right to choose their own medical procedures?
  22. I guess you missed the post earlier where I said I am actually against abortion. Again, what you posted is YOUR belief. There are so many sides to this its ridiculous. Some could call you a simpleton, because your only stance is that abortion should never happen. No matter what? Or because you are completely taking away the rights of the woman carrying the fetus.
  23. Just stating the sides I have heard over the years.
  24. Why does it qualify for being ignored? I think that this can not be a simple yes or no deal. There are many things that should be factored.
