1. Those FAs could change us.....the problem is there are 31 other teams that will be vying for their services.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if we land a FA OLB.  Thomas, Briggs & June are all tops with Briggs & June already playing in an equivalent system to us.

The dream FA at this point would have to be OG Steinbach.  Even if we over-payed for him I would be as happy as something that is happy in something that it likes to be in.

With luck, CB Samuel will be available at a reasonable price & we can let Clemments be over-payed elsewhere.  The good thing is we will have a gazillion dollars under the cap to throw at some of these FAs.

Good point, however remember this, alot of teams have money under the cap now. It is not like it was 3-5 years ago with only a handfull of teams having money under the cap to play around with.

My opinion about clements is he is as good as gone. I would like to have him if we could sign him to 2nd tier fa cornerback contract. But when guys like Ken Lucas are getting 14 mill signing bonuses, you better believe the playmakers agent is going to be seeking a bonus somewhere north of that neighborhood. That is why it is vital to get Youboty into the lineup the last 9 games. See if this kid could handle the 2nd corner position. if he can great, then we could bump Mghee back to nickle & try to get a decent corner after the 1st wave of free agency ends.

  2. Just curious....do you continue to wear the out of town jersey, etc. when you visit other cities to attend games? You see, this makes no sense to me. Again, I am NOT talking about what is right and wrong here.

If you wore regular clothes, you would not have been a target for this a-hole.

Personally, I never wear Bills colors to the Meadowlands, nor would I wear them to any other stadium except of course RWS.

I love the Bills, but I also love my ass, and I don't want it kicked inside out by a mob of d&6chebags.

DirecTV is a good thing too, ya know?  :(

I agree, we go to an away game every year & I never wear my bills stuff. Your just asking for it. Sad commentary on today's society I guess.

  3. I definately have a biased view towards the patriots but what can I say, Im jealous of their success. With that being said they definately get most of the calls going their way at critical times, the key word being critical times.

One just has to look at the 1st meeting between the bills & NE. Whitner picks off the ball, clements is called for a phanton push in the back in which he was literally just trying to protect himself & what is even worse is the ref somehow called whitner out of bounds when he didnt come 3 yards of the line. If there wasnt a penalty called on that, we would of been screwed out of a game winning td. Also, in that game the chinsy call of block in the back on Royal, barely even put his hands on him. Both calls were at critical points of the game.

How they didnt call a penalty on that no good son of a B word bruschi on PI when he tackled the guy on minny first drive last night is beyond me. Oh yeah, johnson threw a pick that play.

  4. i am going with the assumption that we will not be able to draft brady quinn.  he will be the first or second pick in the draft.

I only see 2 winnable games on the rest of our schedule. Miami & Greenbay. If we loose this week, we may not win another game the rest of the season. With any luck, that be good enough to land us quinn.

  5. you forgot to mention that there probably will be about 20,000 packer fans there. That will take away any kind of home field advantage we have. I know I just sold my 4 tickets on ebay for $100 a piece. Gotta love those cheeseheads, willing to pay double face value for the right to go see 2 of the 6 worst teams in the league battle it out sunday afternoon.

  6. I dont know if losman is going to work or not but what has he done to indicate he has the tools to succeed. He is not very accurate, he doesnt have great pocket presence, & he makes bad decisions. Im willing to give him this year, but I will say this, I think he has to really impress levy & the boys to be on this team next year.

  7. Look, I think you have to get Losman this year & probably next year. There have been too many qbs in this league recently that their teams gave up on & have become success stories(Delhome, Hasselback, Brees even a guy like Garcia). With that being said, next year in the draft, I do believe the bills will be drafting in the top 6. You take the best offensive lineman(probably the kid from Wisconsin) but if you have a chance to get Brady Quinn, Levy dam well better take him. This kid is a legitimate franchise qb. George Young once said, if a franchise Qb gets dropped in your lap come draft day, you better take him or you will regret that decision for the next 10yrs.

  8. Yes. Calvin Johnson/Joe Thomas. I'd select either of those. If by some chance they are both gone, I'd go with Quinn or Troy Smith.

    I'd prefer Johnson/Thomas.

Now, if we select Thomas, I'm all for picking Brian Leonard from Rutgers with our 2nd pick. This dude is a monster (picture Mike Alstott plus the elusiveness shiftiness of Tiki Barber). He might project as a FB because of his size, but trust me, this dude can run, catch, and BLOCK. He may even go in the first round.

    814732

I agree with you on Leonard. The guy is a monster. I bet alot of college football, & I have made so much money on rutgers this year. I probably have watched 5 of their games this year. It is crazy, but the way their schedule plays out, if they could get by Lousville in 3 weeks(I think they are at home) they maybe 11-0 going into the finally dec 2 against west virginia who could also be 11-0 if they get by louisville. How crazy would that be?

  9. While I agree with most of your points (esp regarding McGahee), I have to disagree here.

I think the Bills need to just ride this out and let JP start and take every snap of every game this year.  This team is going nowhere.  Inserting Holcomb or Nall isn't going to better the situation.  I say stand by him, give him an entire season and perhaps the light will go on.

    813598

I got to agree with you there Dawgg. I say let losman take every snap. That way at the end of the year, when it couldnt be more apparent then ever that he sucks, there wont be no second guessing when the bills cut him.

I figure, by then are record should be 3-13 or 4-12. (I figure the bills are going to win one more game that noone expects them to win). Hopefully this record will get us a top 5 pick. With that pick, hopefully b quinn, troy smith or brian brohm are still on the board(one of them should be) & we draft them. I know people are not big on drafting a qb that high but we need a franchise qb. Seriously, if you get the qb, alot of the other stuff falls into place. Chalk Losman up to another Donahoe blunder.

  10. I think it will be a close game. For the last 6-7 years the bills are a middle of the pack dangerous team at home & a bottom 5 team on the road. It is almost mind boggling how they could hold their own @ home, but get completely man handled on the road by even the worst teams. Anybody here have any doubt that if the lions game was played in the ralph the bills would of been victorious?

With that being said, brady does just enough at the end of the game to pull out a win.

    New England 24

    Bills 17

  11. You know, I think Losman is right on schedule. His stats for the year are going to be just like I thought. About 2,800 yards, 16-18 tds & 14-16 ints. His qb rating should be in the high 70's to low 80's. I dont care what anybody says, those are respectable for a 1st year starter. Next year is his make or break year with the bills. I believe his contract is up after next year so one of 2 things is going to happen. Either he is going to put close to probowl numbers & lead the bills to the playoffs, or the bills will simply go in another direction after next year.

  12. See above

Dont accuse me of being a bandwagon fan. Ive been a fan of this team since I was 6yrs old (1980). Im just tired of ruining my week by lamenting yet another bills loss. In the end it doesnt matter, because they are not very good right now & even if they beat detriot, Brady & the boys will probably come up here & B word slap us like they usually do. This team is at least 2-3 yrs away from really competing at a high level & that is if Levy & co hit on 85% of their decisions. Donahoe set this franchise back 10yrs with his poor decisions.

  13. Ive had season tickets for 12 years now. Ive had it with this team. Im almost numb to the fact that they lose every sunday. Im going to still go to the games, because lets face it, it is a good excuse to get away from the wife on sunday afternoon, but we go with 6 guys & 3 of them dont even go into the games anymore. They just sit out in parking lot & keep drinking. I think Im going to start joining them. I just cant deal with the lousy football that this team puts out year after year. I know this is a rebuilding year, but you know what I dont see the light at the end of the tunnel. For me at least for the rest of this year, Im making it all about the tailgating. I dont even know if Im going to step foot in the Ralph again this year.

  14. Now there's some perspective. You're even more of a newb here than I am.

Give it a rest. Willis busted a couple huge runs over his career that came back with penalties. He had a 60+ yarder in the preseason. The guy has it to be a top 5 NFL back. Our line is a terrible run blocking line. They don't have the power to move the pile or create proper holes. Willis gets his yards the hard way, every game.

Not to mention, his blitz pickups have been amazing since he whiffed that one. And no one was harder on Willis after whiffing that big blitz pickup than he was on himself. The guy stood up and took responsibility in the media for !@#$ing up.

So your opinion is wrong unless you posted 10,000 times here?

  15. I dont want to be the pessimist here, but I really feel the rest of Tko's tenure with the bills is going to be one nagging injury after another. That achilles injure he had was no joke. Factor in his age, & I think he is always going to have some kind of nagging injury. He should stop shooting off his mouth though if he cant back it up. Faster, stronger, better my ass & what he said when we cut vincent still annoys me. Try more injury prone.
