  1. Troy Aikman back in the 90's stated that going to four straight Super Bowls was great acheivment and would probably never be accomplished again, lauding the Bills for the accomplishment.

I would love the chance to get mad about being out coached in a Super Bowl game again, have the world come to an end because we lost two games in a row in route to the playoff, or Monday morning QB a winning QB.

Commencing in 1986 for 14 seasons, the Bills going into week 15 for twelve seasons.

  2. The Giants have a great owner the Bills do not. The Giants have a great gm the Bills do not. The Giants have a great coaching staff. The Bills do not. Because of the giants front office and coaches their players perform up to and beyond expectations. The Bills...do not. However like anything else it starts at the top.

This sums up the entire situation. Great Post from Stealth.

  3. In 1986 we signed Kelly, Kent Hull and made the deal to get Bennet in 87 along with some great drafts. We also made some great FA aquisitions along the way getting Leonard Smith and James Lofton.

After missing the playoffs in 1994 we signed Bryce Paup, Ted Washington, and Jim Jeffcoat - hell we p[aid Jeffcoat 3 Million a year to play 3rd down and sack the QB and he did.

Not sure how/why Butler left but it has been downhill ever sense although I think Malarkey/Donaho could have made something but the Drew Bledsoe deal killed the whole effort - you were going to lose with or without Bledsoe.

This organization needs to be swept clean - ten years os mismanagement, poor drafts, poor coaching, poor FA signings have led to this collapse.

You could see it coming, back when many were excited and thinking playoffs - I did not. This is a bad organization and bad team.

  4. Ten years of poor drafts, poor FA signings, horrible coaching, and no front office will cause a total collapse in 2012; I have been consistent with this theme. This organization cannot compete in the AFC East let alone the playoffs. Sometime in November things will get interesting again as the talk turns to who will replace Nix/Gailey and company.

  5. Sorry, I know this is not going to sit well, but I see a 6 - 10 season. The current front office and coaching staff is not going to take this team to the playoffs, let alone the SB. Nor is Fitz the QB that is going the distance. We have no depth, as much as I love Freddy Jackson he is 32 and coming off an injury. CJ Spiller - for a first round pick still has shown nothing. Granted Wannstadt built a SB defense in Dallas and is definitely a bump up from Edwards, but I still see them giving up plays on third and long. Still waiting to see if Mario comes through, he does have detractors in NO.

A decade of poor drafts and FA aquisitions is still keeping this team average at best.

  6. Ok I'll bite. How long was the field goal, what was the situation, and what was the weather?

23 yard FG, typical fall, cloudy day with no wind. All in all, Booth was a great fit for the community, beat out by Mike Mercer in 67 who did not do much other than the first week win against the Jets.

  7. I was expecting to see the story that some of my older Bills buddies have told me about… of Booth being physically beaten up by fans outside the Rockpile after that loss to San Diego.

    RIP Booth.

Ha ha I remember that and Billy Shaw being really POed at him for missing that FG.
