Do you have any notion how bad Brady would look playing behind that OL, and throwing to the WR they have left?

But I think this is a lot of credibility to give to what seems to be pot-stirring Schefter speculation.

Looking at Brady's contract, he ain't playin' for no $0 salary and amortized signing bonus.  Schefter seems plugged into a bunch of player agents.  That's probably the source of the speculation, "shot across the bow"

OK, I am ageeing with HaplessBills Fan on something, shows how ridiculous this notion is!

You are absolutely right. However, you know well enough by now that it isn’t that easy when trying to understand and characterize their success. They are the kings until someone steps up and throws their a&@ off the mountain. So far...hasn’t happened.

Twenty years of great scouting, drafting, coaching - a bunch of no names this year and remember, many who post on this board not only hate the Patriots but hate great defense! They want pinball wizard point machines not low scoring defensive games. defense is becoming more popular and dominating in 2019 and I love it!

  3. Yesterdays game demonstrates that you show up to play every week and every opponent - even the 2019 Dolphins. The Fins are not as bad as portrayed and while we have the better team, we are still in the process. Building a winning never quit culture for the long term is crucial to 2019 and McBeane is accomplishing that! I like what I see in JA including the 98 yard drive but concede he needs to hit on the long vertical game very soon, but we are 5 - 1!!

Review the play calls on the third down plays that stalled the drives.  Once you understand how bad those calls were, you will understand the OP's point.

I did and sorry, not buying it!

No question Brian Daboll was the weakest link in the first half.

    Says the OTB NFL experts!

Speaking of touch, there was a pass late in the game that he lobbed over a defender to McKenzie and it was accurate, soft, and easily caught.  I didn’t think he was capable of a nice throw like that.

Come on, your suppose be critical!

Anybody else remember we are 5 - 1; seriously!

This is a fine thread and I apologize for breaking in here with this, but I just can’t help noting the disparity between the subject lines.

”Class and Character” currently adjacent to “Former Bill Justin Banian arrested for Attempted Murder” then a bit downwind we have “Another Raider, OT Trent Brown, Domestic Violence Lawsuit”

SFW, what does this have to do with Ron McDole?

Some of these guys still had regular jobs. It was almost a privilege to get paid playing football! Ha! good way to supplement their incomes!

Another thing that I find funny, is that fans used to walk in with cases of Genny! unreal!

Marty Schottenheimer used to play Uecker tournaments at a tavern my father use to play at - regular Joe's back then!

This thread brings back such memories.  Prompted me to go back and watch the highlights of the season opening Monday night game against the Raiders in '74.  To this day the best Monday night game I ever saw.

Yes it was, man what a game!

If I were him, I'd sue the league for $10MM per year for as many years I felt I could have played plus treble damages.  Very provable, smacks of racism too.

He is not a good QB, if so he would be playing - that's how it works in the NFL!

Having watched that game, I would not describe what Houston runs as “ground and pound”, not at all.

Mahomes IMHO is starting to believe his own press clippings.  He thinks he can make any throw from any balance position.   I think he should have been picked about 6 times.

Come on now, he has been anointed as the next Joe Montana - truth is he is a young QB like Josh Allen that got lucky in 2018 and you all went ga ga!

Well....intelligent football fans use the phrase “Any given Sunday”.

You see, there are some superior teams that for whatever reason don’t always win against an inferior team.
This is why 16-0 is rarely accomplished.

    OK, this is gibberish!
