You don't understand. This is not the question, or even approaching it. You never need to convince Walmart to take Bitcoin. All you need to do: use Bitcoin to pay off your credit card, and your credit card for purchases. As I was sitting on this boring call just now, I designed exactly how, despite ongoing active attempts by the government to stop you, this could be done...with permanent impunity.

Referring to B-man's post(which is too big to quote).... ...I've heard that ONLY the President can approve a bonus that large, and that it is ONLY done in special circumstances, when exceptional service is rendered. How can Obama.... or more likely VALERIE JARRET! DAMMIT! WHY IS NOBODY ON TO THE NON-LADY OF THE US WHO HAS AN UNPRECEDENTED PERSONAL SECRET SERVICE UNIT? What is this, the Politburo?..... .... not know about a bonus only they can award, due to service, only they can evaluate, and only they can deem deserving of said bonus? If they awarded the bonus, then they HAD to be aware of exactly what she did. Tell me, what does this look like to you? A coincidence, or, a paying off a political mercenary, for services rendered?

Ranking the QBs respect must be earned Will Brinson CBS
OCinBuffalo replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
But that's the whole thing: QBR does, attempt, to tell the whole story. It certainly tells a better story than passer rating, or, "whatever I feel". The only thing it doesn't measure: Potential, which is wholly subjective. My opinion that Tannehill won't do much, is just as valid as Dolphin fan's opinion that he will, and equally as biased, for obvious reasons. We'll see who is right, but, neither is a logical argument, and to make a "ranking" on that is ridiculous. It also doesn't measure how many opportunities with the ball their defense gives one QB vs. another. I think that's what I would add. It accounts for down and distance, and drive start, etc. It doesn't account for: this is the 1st possession vs. this is the 15th possession. I would argue that scoring on the 5th drive, is harder than scoring on both the 1st and the 10th. On the first, the D hasn't seen the O's plan yet. On the 10th, they've seen it, but now they aren't fresh. -
Because...that's exactly what you did? Because the coloring book analogy is just as valid for how Ds conducted themselves over Iraq, as how the Rs are over Benghazi? If anything, the Rs are actually attempting to add some nuance, because many have said publicly they don't want to see "Hillary lied" ads, and just want to get to the only question that matters: who ordered Rice to 5 Sunday talk shows to tell a lie, and why? Why did they lie to the parents of the dead? In contrast, there wasn't 1 D that said anything even approaching "hey, come on, we shouldn't make political hay out of Iraq". Cue Al Gore: "He preyed on our fears!" And, for you next post, here's a preemptive

That is the biggest "technicality" in the history of technicalities. "You didn't fill out our form right". Come on. That's right, liberals, go after the legitimate companies, and allow the criminals to take over. Great plan. The only thing that separates good from bad here is the people themselves, it certainly isn't IT skills. You attack the good people, the bad people will take over. Why? Because they are bad people, morons?. If Bitcoin doesn't matter, and doesn't pose a direct threat to liberal's ability to take power through taking $...then why this? It Bitcoin is going to fail anyway, why bother? If Bitcoin is not an urgent problem, then why use the weakest charge I've ever heard of, to immediately go after it? Those arguments are now at an end, aren't they? It's as I said. Liberals? Time to wise up. There is still time to reign yourselves in and prove that you can be responsible with power. What happens next is entirely up to you.
-
So we've run away from the "coloring book" analogy after only 1 of my posts? Yeah, it was a weak argument on your part, so that's fine by me. Actually birdog, it's worse than that. Much worse. I've decided that's it's not worth it to try and convince you, because the only people who require that at this point, are the people who will refuse to ever be convinced, because their political beliefs. It's wholly up to you whether you will set them aside, and see things as they are. I refuse to take any responsibility for that.
-
Yes, and the same was true with Iraq/WMDs....but we didn't see the left deferring to nuance there, did we? Was that truth any more linear, obvious, or literal? They presented their coloring book version, and are still doing it to this day. Actually coloring book is too fine. Bumper sticker is more like it. It was easier to fathom and sell as well. Which, is how we ended up with the worst President in my lifetime in office. Say what you will about Bush, at least he did the job. At least he cared to do the job. This medicine is of the left's making. You have no right to talk about "the good of the country", not when you have both a President and a Press Secretary lying, and continuing the lie, so poorly that it's almost embarrassing to even criticize them. What is the point? I am supposed to be taking either seriously? They are jokes. And any contempt is only worth it for the humor value. Obama is not completely irredeemable(Jay Carney is), but, he better start understanding that he has a real job to do. That this isn't community organizing on a large scale. It's far past time to grow up, for Obama, and a whole lot of his supporters. Incompetence is not audacity, it's just incompetence.

Yes, I really don't get the Tannehill = playoff QB thing. I didn't see it, and the data backs that up. Right now Tannehill isn't even in the top half of the league. QBR has him at #19 http://espn.go.com/nfl/qbr That's 5 slots behind Schaub, btw. CBS : QBR :: "how do you feel" : "what do you think". -

No fish on this? Oh well. In seriousness: I thought you could store them in a (crap I forget the right chemistry term...inert? No. What the hell? Whatever, not gonna look it up = "unmixed") state, and that they can last for a long time that way. It's only when you mix them up to be used, that they gain an expiration date. That's what I remember from NBC class. Yeah, you can make a lot of stuff from Home Depot and the internet. However, this whole "chain of custody" thing implies that these are the real deal, right?. Why care about a "chain of custody" if it's just home made? But, it's like I said, even if they are from Iraq, no one will admit it, and no one would admit to being wrong. Besides, what I read/heard seems like less fact and more speculation anyhow. -
Edit: And, as far as the last pic goes? That's textbook. If it's my job to provide overwatch, then you bet your ass I'm gonna point my weapon at anything that moves in a window, on a roof, etc. That's my job, and I'm responsible for the lives of the entire unit. It's also my job not to pull the trigger unless I have a target who has engaged us, per the ROE. The picture is therefore: a cop doing his job exactly as he is supposed to. If I am the leader of that unit, I have ordered him to do what he is, we have trained on it over and over, and if he doesn't do his job as ordered, he will answer for it, if we all live to see that. Again, he is responsible for all of our lives. It will be his job to suppress any fire that comes from above, which will hopefully give us time to get to cover. And you know why this all sounds so "military"? Because that's what makes a SWAT team, a SWAT team. The T stands for tactics, and that is what you are seeing here: tactics. If you don't like seeing tactics, in a Boston suburb, then perhaps it's time to revisit your thoughts on a slew of things. Because, and I don't care if you believe it or not, these tactics are actually the safest way to deal with that situation, and least likely to cause accidental deaths.

The only positive to come from that press conference? That Marine's family probably got a nice surprise today.

He appeals to this WH, but, he doesn't realize "you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy". I know: let's impose Carbon Rationing on the US, and ignore China and India. In fact, let's make the US pay consumption taxes to the third world. This will solve the problem of Chinese and Indian complete disregard for air pollution! How? Because the US is the reason that these countries are polluting, and the 3rd world needs money for development. 2 birds with one stone! It's the "more Democratic" solution Cue Howard Dean: "Aeeeeiiieeeee". -
I am sure Thomas Nast would disagree. Don't be so quick to dismiss political cartoons. They have a historical record of being highly effective, and, in some cases, being the thing everybody remembers and/or being the singular way to both summarize and definitively define an issue...or a President. Not every cartoon, of course. Certainly not every cartoonist. Definitely haven't seen a Nast so far. But, if "our" Nast does show up, you will know it. I hear "Obama going Bulworth", and I instantly think Morissey: "says nothing to me about my life". (Perhaps I should get on Twitter, just to tweet that, and then quit?) That lady must be indicted immediately. We know the breach occurred, we know she was in charge of it. That's enough right there for an indictment.

I wonder...if it's true that Iraq's WMDs were moved...some to Syria (an interesting case is being made that this is what happened, since...where did these chemical weapons in Syria come from? Israel said they didn't have any.), and the CIA presents that fact to Obama in say...1 year...if that info will ever see the light of day? It will probably be leaked anyway. If/When it is, and we find out beyond reasonable doubt that Iraq did have WMD, but, they moved them to Syria, I also wonder: how many people will hold themselves accountable for being wrong? -
Is Obama the AntiPresident?
OCinBuffalo replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Hehe...I made a bet with myself what the o/u was going to be on that. Specifically, how many hours will go by before somebody says "you can't be a libertarian, and call the libertarian mindset, not agenda, radical, at the same time, moron." The libertarians have no agenda, because, they are not out to get anyone. The people who are out to get people are easy to identify: who keeps insisting that we treat one group of Americans differently from another? It's the exact opposite, really. Libertarians are out to protect, shockingly, liberty. The word is in the name, so it should be easy enough to understand. It's defense, not offense. Thus, there is no such thing as a/the libertarian agenda. Rather, there is the libertarian response, to wingnut, obvious, idiot-spawned ideas like Obamacare, Gun Control, and the "Drug War is Working". All three of the things reflect an absence of reason, that stems from a refusal to see the world as it is, or a factual understanding of how the real world operates. All three of these things seek to destroy liberty, and have not, and will not, EVER produce the results that their proponents say they will. Thus all 3 of these things are not worth the time, $, or unintended consequences they create, in return for the liberty we must give up to have them. Therefore, the libertarian seeks to free us from all 3. That is not an "agenda" that is defending liberty from stupidity. Therefore, in response to unmitigated morons spouting stupidity and wishful thinking based emoting, the libertarians asks "is this worth our liberty". If the answer is no, then the libertarian fights the wingnut. -
Finest line I've read this week, and I've read just about everything. I am here to entertain myself, not you. My "personality" is whatever is required today to get the job done.

A credibility vacuum is usually followed by something bad
OCinBuffalo replied to GG's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Yes. I was I just thinking about this when I was driving the other day. This Russian spy thing is a coincidence? 50/50 at best. It's not worth getting worked up over, but, we aren't any safer as result of this. OTOH, if: 1. Obama is told 2014 is never going to happen. 2. There is no point in raising money. 3. There is no chance of any more of his domestic "change", without the Republicans leading it. 4. Basically Obama is cut off from the entire politics side of the job. Then what else is there for him to do, besides govern? He fails so badly at the job, that he ends up succeeding at it, because the nonsense that he wants to do, and has spent all his time on, has been stripped from him, and now he is forced to actually earn his paycheck. -
I heard this live. It was very cool to hear Chris Brown say that, and his matter of fact tone was unmistakeable. I agree with Bulldog: "Well, whoa, that's something fans are gonna like to hear". Brown said, "never seen it, and I've been here since Levy". It was funny, because it just came out of Bulldog, unhindered. I say unhindered: Bulldog was by himself, so he wasn't doing his usual "I better try to shellack this point to make it sound more intelligent than is required" thing. 3 guesses why he normally does that. Yeah Chris Brown works for the team and yeah, he refrains from killing a guy/coach/GM when they are doing bad, and yeah, he only talks about the positive. But, that's the thing: degrees of positive. I've been paying attention to Brown long enough to know when I'm hearing boiler plate. Today was not that.

The fun part? CNN has embarrassed itself again, but, this story is moving to fast for anyone to care. And, nobody cares about CNN, and soon to be, MSNBC, anyway.
-
That's fine, then I will go on making you look like a fool. And you will go on looking like one. The simple fact is: all of this was going to happen, because liberals haven't been right in the head since the 2000 election. Because they lost, they thought they were then allowed to do/say anything, however classless, or criminal. But, yeah, keep telling yourself that nobody "can lay a glove" on you. Edit: Oh, and Frenkle? You are responding...to my thread.

Yes you are right about the politicians and power. As I said it's way too early to make specific predictions, however, I think the public will as goofy as it is, can be directed towards demanding IRS power be reduced via a flat tax, and that the reduction in Congressional power is a side effect. Congress may not be able to stand in the way this time, depending on the force of the public's will. But, still too early to tell. This may be a 6 months from now thing. It would be one hell of an issue for Republican Senate candidates. What, you mean heaven? As I said, too early, but, one hell of a Senate Campaign issue, and not too shabby as a way to either maintain or increase the House lead. I remember it too. That's why there's no way I ever believed this is an isolated incident. Think about it, if you were going to do a comprehensive campaign to discredit/intimidate/make it impossible for your opponents to raise $, you would be looking to get information from everywhere. The IRS is just one place to look. CNN has embarrassed itself once again, by claiming this is all 1(one) employee...when right after, the WP comes out and says it was 2. Both are lame attempts to try and insulate WH staff, and direct the public outcry at these people, before it gets so large that Obama takes the full blast. Low information voters work 2 ways, though. The same turds that followed American Idol procedure in re-electing this clown, aren't going to care about the details. They'll just know something is wrong, and that Obama did it. The only hope is what he did: try and hold it until the media can get on the low level employees.

There will be no peace, and frankly, no justice, until somebody comes forward and explains why our ambassador to the UN pushed the video, why Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama both told a mother that it was the video, and swore to go after the film maker, and why, since they all KNEW how this talking points process really occurred, why they would be complicit in the lie, or directly lying themselves, so many days after the fact. One thing we know for sure as a result of these emails: It's time for Jay Carney to go.
