The Eagles have informed Michael Vick that they will pick up his $1.5 million roster bonus on March 10. Vick will remain on the trade block after the bonus is exercised. The move sets up Philadelphia to pay Vick $5.25 million, as he's also due a $3.75 million base salary. It's an exorbitant amount for a third-stringer. The Eagles' asking price for Vick is believed to be a second-round pick, though it's hard to imagine them not pulling the trigger if a team like the Bills comes calling with a third- or fourth-round pick. this is just one season snap shot . Of course having a great qb helps but getting one is a different story . I just don't see one available to us. No free agents are available and it is a weak draft. Plus you are just as likely to pickup a retread ,(warner,farve) or a late round gamble,(brady) then you are by giving away premuim picks to get one. All this talk is nice but I think If Buddy see's one he can work with he will make a move.

I agree that Dan williams would be a reach at 9 . Just throwing some scenerios out there

not always plenty of examples of avg qb's winning superbowls more than one way to skin a cat. The jets made it to afc championship game with rookie qb who was horrible all regualr season .

I think is means either they feel the tackles they like will be gone by #9 , ( a real Possibility ), or they feel Gaither offers better value as a second rounder then the available tackles would in round 1

Darth , you keep preaching the qb but at this point and time who is your realistic answer. Wanting one is great but it is not happening right now , fix what we can and move forward

I think for a 2 and if he is healthy its a no brainer. You could take dan williams in round one or trade back a bit and double down at tckle and take a trent williams for the right side . Either way fill the left tackle spot then there is a lot more flexability and certainty moving forward

The more you hear about the 3-4 , the more you hear about the 340 guys really being important on first down . Cody would be great as a run stuffer . I now he is big and probably in poor condition but remember we will be mixing in kyle williams. Heck the steelers just resigned their guy for 20 million and our asking him to take 30 snaps per game

The small free agent class is a tough break for Buddy . This year was actually shaping up to be a good class before the uncapped situation . A few good sighning could have pushed up the rebuild . On to the draft
