  1. I'll talk with you as long as you remain talking about it and don't start name calling over the whole thing. Many people besides myself have said the playcalling gets really bad when the game is on the line. Bad playcalling also includes clock management. I agree Fairchild is an improvement over the last 5 OC's or so but he still has room for improvment. he is maybe 85% there, but we need 100% efficiency. he is calling throwing plays stopping the clock when we need to run and eat up the clock, 2nd last series just before the half is an example. 3rd down just before the infamous 4th down debacle at the end of the game should have been a running down as well. It would have eaten clock and got the ball closer to maybe make the field goal. Bizarre fake field goals earlier in the season, he goes Mularky on us at times during a game and costs us critical mistakes. Also run JP more like Vince Young. It stuff like that , that leaves me wanting more from our OC. We need 100% efficiency. Not 85%
  2. I wouldn't overhaul but a couple of big widebody DT's to stop the run would be in order.
  3. I'm very optomistic about 2007. I think Marv has seen a microcosm (sp?) of what ails the Bills in this game. 1) Can't stop the run. 2) Poor clock management for various reasons. 3) Poor game calling at critical times. 85% of it is good but we need a boost to get to maxumum efficency in playcalling. 4) Maybe a new center and guard. 5) Maybe one more big physical possesion reciever 6) An upgrade at TE. Royal is servicable but not outstanding. I want Antonio Gates outstanding. 7) A big power runner for third and short. Maybe A-Train is the man, but then that gets back to the playcaller. A-Train was not really used correctly IMHO. 8) TKO's replacement 9) More CB's Make those changes and we are in the playoffs next year.
  4. Your kidding on point #3 right ?
  5. Catch you all in a few days. Have a good Christmas.
  6. Sshhh ! You will be critized for saying anything derogatory about the golden calf called Steve Fairchild.
  7. We will finish 7 and 9 because Balitimore will run it down our throats all day long.
  8. Cable Lady that is the most controversial statement I have ever seen you make. I'll take your word for it !
  9. Small minds get amused by small things ! Enjoy !
  10. When Bebe knocked the ball out of Leon Lett's hand in the Superbowl before he crossed the Goal line after picking up an interception or something like that.
  11. Yes, bragging rights about a change made in who makes the final decsion on game hinging calls. I wouldn't be surprized if Marv ends up jumping in on those calls.
  12. The last choke job like that, that I remember is Ronny Harmon in the back of the end zone all alone and drops an easy pass right on the numbers. Qtr final playoffs against Cleveland wasn't it ?
  13. I outlined the conditions of the bet. And I asked how much just out of curiosity.
  14. I chose my words carefully above, "Don't be surprized to see a change made. " I didn't say they would fire Fairchild, but I bet the process of decision making on game turning calls is changed. There may be a committe of Dick Jauron, the OC and the DC and Bobby April. As for betting amounts ! I only bet one dollar on any bet. The fun is in winning the bet. Not the amount bet. So your on for one dollar under these circumstances.
  15. I thought that as well. They would have went for it on 4th and 1 and got it too ! If the score was a bigger margin than 2.
  16. You know a team can address more than one problem in the offseason. They may get a beefier center, beefier DT's or get a better FB. Fairchild is just one component.
  17. Interesting point. But how much is because those guy are not really that good or the scheme ?
  18. Any amount ? How much do you have ?
  19. I agree ! This DL can't stop a good running team when the game is on the line.
  20. Don't be surprized to see a change made in the off-season. How do we save a thread to bring back 3 months from now ? I will laugh and take note of your handles and throw it back up then.
  21. We need someone who has a good overall football IQ. Until then we lose these close games. It makes the difference in close games.
  22. Had he called a running play instead of pass. We could have run 43 more seconds off the clock before Vince Young got the ball. They would have run out of time long before getting close to the TD ! Imagine if Tennesee had 7 fewer points ? That's how I blame Fairchild. Putting our defense in Bad situations. I'm not giving the DL a free pass, Check my other posts, we need beef in the DL to stop the run.
  23. Thanks I forgot to mention that playcall. Blame Fairchild. I like the playbook. Hate the playcalling.
  24. 85% of the time these guys make good decisions. It's the game on the line critical decisions that are bad. Thats why the Pats have won alot of Superbowls. Bellicheck has a great football IQ in all phases of the game. Not just 85% of the game.
