  1. He needs to tame and train the rocket launcher attached to his shoulder. I think he will get there too. To me, he demonstrates skills and abilities you just can’t teach. Every QB prospect has their strengths and weaknesses. A great QB needs a bunch of different skills and charachteristics. I like what Josh has got. He has shown the ability to learn and improve and I think we’ll see improvement in the Steelers game.

  2. Well said! I always remember Tim Russert saying at the closing end of his show that “One of these days, the Bills WILL win the championship” That has always stuck with me keeping my faith alive even during the dark, seemingly hopeless years. I think they are building something special with this group. Hopefully we get to win the last game of the season this year or in the near future!

  3. The receiver patterns may be different this year than last year. Last year, after his injury, they pushed the receiver patterns to the sides of the field to open up the center. This enabled Josh to have big runs, but expose him to the risk of injury. This year they may be running a more conventional set of receiver patterns to promote his development as a passer and the development of other receivers and tight ends.

This D is interesting. Very very good but with no person or level that stands out. Perhaps the backend is the strength. It’s hard to identify who truly sets the tone.

This is exactly what I have been pondering recently. Other good defenses have star players, especially on the D line. This team doesn’t have that star player on the line. Yet they are collectively playing together within the system to shut down offenses. They seem to be a group of complimentary players where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

  5. The ability of this offense to string together many plays and march down a long field IS different. In previous years, we rarely could overcome a10 yd holding penalty. We needed big chunk plays to move down the field. Not today. Their confidence is soaring. This is different!

  6. I’ll give him an A- for the game. I was very impressed with all the long dives he put together. That is something we haven’t seen much from our QBs in the past. I think he can continue to grow by varying ball velocity when appropriate . It still seems like it’s all fastballs. His decision making has definitely improved and that is a great thing to see.
