  1. ESPN is not a news organization. It is entertainment masking itself as news. The Bills are an easy target and that makes their jobs easier. How many stories appear on ESPN that entirely articles about ANOTHER reporter's article on ESPN? The Bills make for nice target for them to "report" the "news" which is mostly their opinion.

Then they chat up another reporter at ESPN and they have a 'source' that is 'familiar with the situation' or 'close to the player/coach/etc'.

Now that is perfectly said, ESPN reports that 'Mort reports that Clayton reports that Scheffter reports the drat is this month"

They also won't allow any of their "experts" to appear on another radio show, example the only ones with big enough balls to be on the Dan Patrick show have been Michael Wilbon (a regular) and Mike Golic the week of the SB. As soon as Peter Gammons went to MLB Net he was on. BUT they have peeps from CBS, FOX, NBC on their shows. I guess many will say they are protecting their property, so be it. Once last thought, boy they were all talking up Tiger today, how hes the best. Of course watch on ESPN at 4.

...As to why they witch hunt Buffalo, ratings. Cowherd said one day on his show "why am I going to talk about the Bills, I'm on a national show". Move them to Toronto or LA Cowturd cares again.

  2. Did you see this article from the front page? http://www.buffalonews.com/2010/03/30/1004...-weightier.html

    And here's another one: http://blogs.buffalonews.com/billboard/201...m-overhaul.html

I STILL can't get over it!!

Reports differ over whether the 12 TVs were on the walls of the weight room or whether some were in the locker room, and I've also seen reports that five of the TVs were on the front panel of treadmills.

    But I don't freaking care.

Televisions in the weight room of a pro team are SO WRONG!!

Thank God Alllare is gone, though it's hard to know how much was Allaire and how much was Jauron.

I've been saying for months that three years in a row of huge amounts of injuries isn't coincidence, that something was wrong with the S&C program. Here's the evidence!

EDIT: Sorry, I tried to delete this thread when I realized that I couldn't see the video linked in the "NO MORE CLUB MED" thread. If that video goes over the same ground, I'd suggest that you use that thread.

No wonder they got called for 12 men on the field penalties...

  3. This has been real useful info for me too. My hot water heater is about 20 years old and bound to die soon. Mike Holmes always plugs the tankless on his HGTV show and I was thinking that with the 30% rebate on them it would make sense to do it this year.

  4. You don't think businesses have a salary cap? It's called an annual budget. And they don't have to institute it league wide. They establish it on themselves if they want to avoid bankruptcy. Sorry, bad analogy.

You don't think that sometimes it's in your best interest to give up freedoms? Tell that to the workers now who submit to an across the board pay cut rather than having a layoff. Sometimes, it needs to happen. I know that there can be layoffs that follow, but that can be a whole other thread to start talking about the state of the ecomony. Unfortunately with the NFL, they are under the impression that they are exempt from the effects of a struggling economy.

BTW, no cap has worked really well in baseball :censored: This go-round, both sides must address the issue of putting a cap on rookie salaries.

I could not agree more with everything you said. I'm a controller for a NFP and the peeps were glad just to keep their jobs with no raises this year. The annual budget slashed other perks instead but nobody bitched. You'll find very little sympathy for players making millions here.

As for baseball, I'm a Baltimore Orioles fan. By June the season is over because the Stankees and Bosux will be buying up whatever they need to get over the top. :censored:

  5. Just think about what lockout/strike Armageddon does to to the college game. Next spring suddenly we have kids trying to be 5th year seniors, the two year kids flunking out because they were going to declare for the NFL are screwed, (LOL...maybe at a few schools that don't offer basket weaving in the summer term) For the rest of us Joe Q Fan gets a better college product until some side caves. At least thats a positive.

...As for the rest of this subject, I agree the FA's are mediocre because of the change in rules.

...I hooked back up with The Dan Patrick Show when he came back online and DirecTV.

...Just wanted to stay on subject!

  6. In a perfect world...

Weren't the ECC campuses all going to be placed at the city campus, closing down the north and south ones?

Well, there's your parcel of land for a new stadium... ECC South. You have the parking that's needed right across the street.

Have the same company that built Rich Stadium or have HOK build you your new 85-90k seat open-air stadium running along Southwestern Blvd. I would like to see a similar design as the current stadium, with two upper decks, blue seats in the upper decks also (no benches)... copy the large endzone scoreboards like they have at Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium. Have a "Rockpile" section of benches on the upper part of each endzone.

Before that, before you construct a new stadium... get an independent analysis of the current stadium and its shelf life. Have HOK, HTNB, Ellerbe Becket and HKS conduct an examination of the current structure and see how much longer it has. Then you go to the county and you iron out a new lease agreement. And then you give the middle finger to Jerry Jones, Bob Kraft and Danny Snyder.... and Bud Adams.

Living down here I'm not familiar with that area but 85-90k seats? No, there would be a blackout every week.

  7. im wondering why im not seeing certain names on the ESPN ticker, I dont care if Schobel retires, Kelsay and his salary need to go I see no value in keeping him for the 3-4, we have other younger and equally unproductive DEs to convert to OLB. Maybe we can get a 5th RD pick for him?

They are still waiting for the Colts reply about trading Kelsay, Lynch, Trenty, Whitner and a 5x7 of Jauron for Peyton Manning since he can't seem to win the Super Bowl anymore!
