Hey... I tried this before and got nothing but bashed on here.... Well why not now....
-
Hey... I'm sure somebody else said this first so spare me but, why not give Brohm a shot this week against the Chiefs and see what he can do?
...I hope some body at the inner sanctum at One Bills Drive isn't holding up hope for running the table and making the playoffs at 8-8!!!
-
Well, there's no talk about them leaving town...
Dan Snyder is just going to have the Bills hire Jim Zorn as next coach with the Skins paying for it.
-
I thought the trade deadline was at 4PM. Was this one of those last second, waiting for the fax to go through deals?
I'm sure Russ Brandon was busy putting wrappers around the cash Ralph keeps instead of declares. Anyway, I thought they send Parrish somewhere today for a free ticket out of town.

At the end of regulation, didn't the Bills still have one timeout when they let the clock run down from 26 seconds to attempt a field goal on second down? At least run another play... unless you're worried that they'd go offsides or lose yards like they did on the previous one. If they were willing to throw it, they could've run two plays. I guess they thought that a long Lindell field goal attempt into the wind was money in the bank.
Time management is not a Dick Jauron strong point.
Do we know what that strong point is yet?

There is not one QB in your list that will do any better than Edwards has. They are either washed up, draft buts never were's or never will be's.
I might take a shot at Leinart... but who wants to get stuck with that contract and what would it cost?
-
Maytbe the Browns will loan us Brady Quinn for the game to work him out, would at least make it interesting.. ugh...
-
I'd love to see the Fairchild/Schonert play-book that AVP has to work from. These are probably his pass-play options.
1) 7-yard curl
2) 4-yard hitch
3) 5-yard RB flare
And to think that was too complicated for "Crafty Dick Jauron" too crasp...
-
"Shuttle pass" to Cory Mcintire (sp) who gets clobbered and fumbles....
-
We didn't even get what we paid for from this post.
and thanks for that intelligent reply.
-
Ya know... I'm a financial controller and have learned that like a steak, you get what you pay for with what you choose when hiring peeps.
...With that said I'd think that whomever is a adviser to Uncle Ralph would tell him that spending money on Cower or Shanahan in the long run will grab more $$$ when he passes and whomever he has left the team to cashes in as it will be a more attractive team.
...Ughhhh 9/4 and ughhhhh

No way does Kelly step in as a coach. The organization would be crazy to do it. He has zero experience as a coach at any level. Time and family aside, other than sentimental reasons, there is no justification for hiring as a coach.
...Your very correct and sentimental reasons are about all we have. Heck I would have rather had Chan Gailey bought in since he was available but knew $$$ wouldn't let that happen.
-
Maybe Jim Kelly will come back from injury and replace AVP and we'll all wake up from this nightmare! Sigh...
-
None of the starters (except for the o-line) are starting. It is not just Edwards that is not starting.
Good point, TO hasn't played in a month, ML won't be playing for a month and DJ will be a asst next year as the coach is also not starting.
-
Agree. If I were the coach, I'd have the starting offense out there for a half and tell them they had better play like it's their last game. They obviously need the work and more time to evaluate the bottom of the roster is less important at this point IMO. Shows you again how risk averse Jauron is (risk of injury). He'll have the starters sleep walking from now until opening day. Jauron commits himself to mediocrity.
They will be "Bubble Boys" ala Seinfeld..... sigh.
-
Just saw it on the Buffalo Bills Twitter page Link
AS usual crafty Dick J doesn't want to let the secret plan out of the bag exposing Trent. Jim Kelly dressed as Trent will be there on opening day! Unreal, is arm burnt out from throwing those 10 yard outs?
-
With those three guys, we could then really run some explosive 7-yard curls!!
I'm not sure Trent would hit any of them even if they are wide open.
-
BTW... Is Joe Dufek, Bruce Mathison or Vince Farigamo available for this year? I believe Joe is 1-0 as a starter.
-
...Fill in the blank.
Heck at this point Greg Paulus is a better choice then Trent. They might as well play Gabe "Kaplan" in the interm. Welcome back Kotter! Shhhsh!
-
I haven't listened to more than ten minutes total to him in 6 months time. I heard enough of him in the previous 5 or so years since Kornheiser left..........I really miss Mister Tony!
Tony was a great listen on ESPN but didn't play the game for them. I now listen to Dan Patrick every morning (another guy ESPN couldn't get to play the game) from 9-12. He must be killing Coward (who I do find funny, but a company butt kisser) so he has to amp it up! I think me saying that was a something John Clayton had a exclusive on!
-
Awww ... too harsh, Ko was looking for coverage from the back side. Oh sorry, that was when he was in jail.
-
Gotta love "Crafty Dick Juron"... 4th and one.... pass. As for JP haters, let me know where Edwards is any better in pocket presence. We obviously need a coach, QB, GM, owner, ohhhh... Christmas is over ...sigh.
-
"His QB was less than average", excuse me JP ended up as the 11th best in the NFL which is better than average and just missing top third.
-
Bottom line is, he is not the Bills problem. Get over it. What he said is true. He didn't have help. He missed a few blocks and his quarterback was less than average. That certainly didn't help. He can say whatever he wants, just like Bills fans can say what they want. However, just because you say doesn't mean it's true. Bills fans are not paying his salary now, so get on with you perfect lives.
Leach next Bills HC?
