We lost to a better team due to coaching decisions, dont blame the weather

If you honestly think that miami is the better team, please accept a $100 straight up bet for the next game.  Hell, I'll even give you the three points for Bills home field advantage.  We can have a trusted poster hold onto the $ until the game.  A win is a win, but there is no way the dolphins are a better team that the Bills.  Especially without some crazy luck and sleazy field design.

    This is true.

But the reality is that the Dolphins and teams that live in that heat have to condition better just to play in it.

I watch tons of college football played in the south and those games go on for 4 hours regularly and the players don't drop like flies the way we saw the Bills doing yesterday.

I don't think conditioning is a strength of the Bills team because their sports science probably tells them not to push players that hard..........because it results in greater chance of injury.

That is the trade off.   The Bills have had a very healthy team in terms of the controllable soft-tissue type of injuries but they are not built to be on the field for 40 minutes of the game on either side of the ball.   We saw it in the divisional game vs KC when the defense was totally gassed at the end.

You could argue that their approach leads to a lot of dominant performances but also that it hurts them in battles of attrition.........which is coincidentally what a lot of these 1 score losses have been.    Hell, they were gassed in Jacksonville last year.    Who are we kidding that this Miami game was just some kind of outrageous outlier weather wise?

I'm sure Stefon Diggs was cramping because his conditioning is not up to par.

  3. Tua has played 25 games so far.  In those approximately 100 quarters of football, he has looked like an top end QB in 1.  His own team was looking to replace him (with a serial sexual predator) as recently as a few months ago.  The hype train has been fueled by 1% of his quarters of play while the doubts are a result of the other 99%.    I realize this is a bit of an exaggeration and that Tua has had a few nice plays mixed into his overall sub par career, but even his own team and their fans would not have told you he was the answer at QB until the most recent quarter of football.

    More from Finheaven:

“I do not use the title of this post lightly. But what I witnessed yesterday may have been the best regular season win since I have been a Dolphin fan. For the first time since the Marino era, this team actually looks scary. And in a good way. I could actually see the fair in Baltimore in that 4th qtr and it was a great feeling. In was especially emotional because I remember Bob Griese's 6 TV performance against the St. Louis Cardinals who were heavily favored on Thanksgiving Day 1977. It was the day I became a Dolphin fan. That year the franchise started to make a comeback because they had missed the playoffs the previous two seasons due to the departure of Csonka, Warfield and Kiick. They would go on to be a playoff team and Super Bowl contenders from 1978 through 1985. In see a repeat of that resurgence today. And I will dare say the Miami Dolphins are Super Bowl contenders right now, despite Stephen Ross and his nonsense.“

Can you imagine the insanity if Tua ever strings 2 quarters of good football together as opposed to just one?!

Standing during a big game is to be expected... I get it... but older folks and disabled,  I get have a hard time seeing the game if everyone in front is standing and they for whatever reason cant... not sure the answer other than enough handicap seating... but you gotta expect at a big game people are going to stand so plan accordingly.

The answer is to be a decent person and not stand in front of those people.

Nope just happens on the internet  when people attack someone for no reason other than it isn't what they agree with. I was half joking in the response but when people want to act like children I will respond accordingly.

I deleted my post but it must not have been quick enough.  It was a bit uncalled for as a personal attack.  On the other hand, jokes are supposed to be funny.  Maybe that's where the disconnect is with your posts?

  7. I don't know why I enjoy reading the Finheaven forum so much, but stuff like this is making for an amusing Friday morning.  Just when I thought I had seen the most delusional post, another one comes along.  This guy thinks the dolphins have a more talented 53 than the Bills and that their D line and defense is just as good.  You can't make this stuff up!

100% going to depend on the OL. If we can stimy, or at least mitigate that beast ass D line they have, we're in business. Especially on 3rd down.

It’s not that great. Our dline and defense in general is just as good as theirs. We just need Tua to keep playing like he did in the second half last week and we will win. Obviously their defense is better than Baltimores, but they got injuries and don’t have as much talent on the 53 as we do, contingent on the performance of Tua Tagovailoa. I believe.

  8. While getting my morning entertainment from the dolphins forum, I found this gem from Monday (prior to the Bills game).  It was in the "Honest question, how does our D stop the Bills?" thread.  I guess they will have to look for a different strategy?

I'm looking tonight to see Vrabel expose Allen. Use that as a game plan and modify as need be.

So, as of today, our entire starting secondary is not practicing.  Far from ideal heading into a game with 2 of the fastest WRs we will face all season.

Can we stop with this narrative?  Taron Johnson and Benford/Elam are also starters in the secondary.  2 out of our 3 starting CBs are healthy and nobody has been ruled out for the game.  Is the secondary situation ideal?  Of course not, but "our entire starting secondary" is not injured and out of practice today.

    LOL.  One confident dude.

That is the same guy that posted this gem...I'm guessing he isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Allen is good but massively overrated. I've always said this. He's flash like a sports car. Tua is smarter, more methodical , more accurate and still has 85% of the arm strength which is the only thing some people talk about. I'd never switch Tua for Allen and the above stats show I'm right in that thinking. I mean everyone is saying Allen is the best PLAYER in the game, that's what the jerks on TV keep saying. So Tua has mostly better stats than the supposed best PLAYER in the NFL. What does that tell you?

  11. I actually heard some commentators this week discussing the hardships that Tua has faced.  Let's look back at this rough road to Sunday.  Grew up on the mean streets of Hawaii and went to a very good football high school.  Was a 4 star recruit and went to Alabama.  Obviously had the best coaching, facilities, trainers and surrounding cast possible for his college career.  Was drafted and did not display the leadership qualities necessary to hold down the starting job consistently.  The dolphins have surrounded him with Hill, Waddle, and Gesicki as his main targets.  Other than an injury in college, this guy has led about as charmed a football life as possible.

damn. I would have to rewrite my last post. 😞

    my point stands

    some stats are useless

How many games was Tua benched?

How many games was Josh benched?

    please

The Miami narrative on Tua being benched is that he just didn't have the right coaching.  It wasn't his poor play that got him benched.  Now he has a coach that believes in him!  Haha

    Stats are nice

    but

    what does this say?

    A wannabe MVP

A never was has been, lucky to be on a SB team.

Another JAG that won a SB (lucky to be on a SB team like Trent Dilfer)

    Josh 👽 Allen QB extraordinaire.

    And another Rising star.

2 yards and Josh’s would be last.

Broken down by actual quarters played...

Tua - 739/8 = 92 passing yards per quarter.  When you add in his 1 rushing yard, his average moves up to 92 yards per quarter.

Allen - 614/7 = 88 passing yards per quarter  When you add in his 66 rushing yards, his average moves up to 97 yards per quarter.

Allen has produced 5 more yards per quarter of football played.
