I'm certainly not saying it is true, but how do you know what contacts people have or what conversations somebody might be privy to? Just because it is not some big national guy breaking the news doesn't mean it is not true...

I have a hard time believing the "spurned" story. When were they supposed to have a big meeting with Cowher? After they fired all the coaches but before the interviewed their Rooney candidate?

That article is from yesterday morning before the story broke about cowher staying in broadcasting....with that said,you never know. I wouldnt hold your breath...

Maybe Bill is using CBS as leverage since there will likely be no other offers. Lord knows with Ralph and Russ at the helm, they'll probably try to low ball cowher since there aren't other offers.

Solid column. This has been a wierd couple of days in Buffalo. They rushed for over 200 yards and did blow out the Bills...again, the pass D was okay, but it isn't like anybody game planned to pass the ball against us, they didn't have to.

They had a team high in interceptions thanks to Byrd. Aside from that, their pass defense was decent, but they were never really tested. They ended up top 5 this year in many stats because teams didn't need to pass to beat them.

The 2009 Bills had one of the worst rushing defenses in the HISTORY of the NFL....

I don't know anything about the guy other than he used to be a TV sports guy in Florida. There are a lot of up and coming forms of media, amybe he is trying to be a pioneer, I have no idea.

Reporting that Cowher met with the Bills or that the Bills signed TO before any national media are some pretty good guesses.
