It's also REALITY. How can you possibly look at what has transpired between the Bills and the Chiefs going back to the 2017 draft and not feel the same?
People are acting like Xavier Worthy is automatically some world beater just because he ran a 4.21 40 time. John Ross ran a 4.22 and was a nobody. Mecole Hardman ran a 4.33 and has been the very definition of meh. He was solid in college, but he wasn't exactly feared. The knocks on him are he takes plays off when he is not the preliminary target, hand strength, he's built like a pretzel stick, and doesn't really shift gears in relation to football placement as he should. Until he actually proves to be a threat, I'm not worried at all.

Wrap your mind around this:
Fans are losing their mind on trading down from 28 to 33.
Let that sink in. Then start ignoring these people.

It's amazing how the draft is "over" for us now and we've basically lost the offseason after the 1st Round.
-
Hard to say. I like that we now have a 3rd. I like that we have more ammo with four 5th's to get maybe another 3rd by packaging our 4th or get up into the 4th another time or two. Still, Legette was my guy and the Panthers got him.

I've said it from the beginning that MHJ, Nabers, and Odunze just seem to be a cut above the rest. If the opportunity presents itself, and it's not something absolutely ridiculous compensation wise, then you make that move.
If we stay put and the Chiefs jump for a WR, then watch the same people saying "we shouldn't move up" claim it was the greatest move ever by an organization constantly beating us out.
well....... We traded back, but the principle is the same

If that’s true I’ll be happy but knowing Beane there’s going to be another trade he loves and he’ll take the chance to move back one last time and then hopefully still get Franklin or even better AD.
I like what Beane is doing. Round 2-4 is a lot of WR value but I do think AD and Franklin are a different level to the next tier of strictly #2 WRs
At some point, you just have to get your guy before someone else does. I think they stand pat and take Franklin.

The fact that they moved down twice and allowed teams that needed WR's to come up and get their guys said to me that they viewed a lot of different WR's after the first 4 fairly evenly and didn't have a "guy".
We'll see. But if I were a betting man, then I would put $$$ on Franklin being #33.

Can someone explain what happened for someone who fell asleep?
I fell asleep during the Bucs pick and missed all of the action. Bills traded back with KC for a 3rd and 7th, then traded with Carolina for a 4th. Here we are at #33 now with three more picks in the bank.

I called this the other day. Look at the board right now

They won't move again from #33 and the pick is going to be Troy Franklin. Write it down. Pretty sure he has been "their guy" throughout this entire process. They grabbed some extra picks along the way and moved back just enough where they feel comfortable.

Yeah I'm more referring to them taking a position that made more sense than anything else.
Definitely smarter than adding another WR.

Mitchell looks like Gilmore on draft night

Everyone thankful the Dolphins took a player that actually makes them better so we wouldn't take him and it leaves a WR on the board, kind of a weird place for people to be.
I'm thankful the Phish took a guy who has all kinds of workout warrior traits, but wasn't even the most productive DE on his team. Saves us from even having the opportunity to be that stupid.

Do You Like What Beane Did in the First Round?

The guy the Chiefs drafted, the Bills didn't want. Despite all of the tears flowing around here like the Chiefs were just handed Tyreek Hill 2.0 (a guy whose only accolade thus far is just the fastest recorded 40 time, but nothing on the field), the Bills brass did not give a single who the Chiefs selected. Beane got what he wanted. You Nancy's need to get over it already.
