  1. As I don't live near the stadium but will be going to a game later this year, I have a question about lower bowl seating please. If we sit along the sideline (around the 35 yard line) in Row 4, will our view (including a child) be obstructed by the players standing on the sidelines? Thank you for your help.
  2. All the best to Jim and family! May the surgery be successful and treatments thereafter as comfortable as possible!
  3. 100% agree, hopefully Sal can replace the afternoon team Keep up the great work Sal!
  4. I also bought the Sunday Ticket To Go for $350 and was unable to watch the game on my laptop. The option to watch the game was "grayed out". I called numerous times in the first half and got the same "we're working diligently on the problem" BS. At halftime, I left the house and found a place to watch the rest of the game. When I got home and saw that the option to watch the games was still "grayed out", I called and requested a refund. The rep said the credit to my card would come within 72 hours, but unfortunately I'll believe it when I see it. I have no faith in DirecTV. I also tried the Sunday Ticket To Go on the Ipad and the stream was horrific. I gave up after 5-10 minutes.
  5. Both Sal's postgame show & Saturday show are some of the best programming on WGR. I also like the idea of Joe Buscaglia & Tim Graham working together. The morning guys are pretty good, the afternoon guys are tough to take and I prefer not listening to them. We can only hope that Sal or Joe/Tim could one day do the afternoon drive time slot.

  7. See post titled "Bills Draft Pick" now located about 3/4 down the first page of TSW. The first few posts and post #11 detail the math pretty well.
  8. I think that the gbn website with those opponents' winning %tages is terrific. This is who we should be rooting for if you want the Bills to get the highest pick possible (assuming Bills, Oakland & Seahawks all finish 5-11 and we'd be able to have a higher pick than Oakland...even better would be if we can jump Cleveland, but I don't think that they will beat Jax): 1. Indianapolis (obviously, I'll take a lot of heat from folks for rooting against the Bills, but from a pure draft order perspective, unfortunately it's true) 2. Pittsburgh (big time, b/c they played Oakland, and we played Miami 2x) 3. Cincinnati (big time, b/c they played Oakland, and we played Jets 2x) 4. Houston (both Oakland and Bills played them, and we played NE 2x) 5. San Diego (they played Oakland 2x, although Washington played Oakland 1x) 6. Giants (they played Oakland 1x) 7. Cleveland (both Oakland and Bills played them, and we played Jax 1x) 8. Seattle and Oakland, obviously (however, either/both unlikely to win...and if Seattle wins, it makes our opponents winning %tage lower since we played Tenn) 9. Chicago (in case the Bills win) That's my 2 cents, not taking our front office's incompetence into account. Again, the listing above is for draft order purposes only. Go Bills...in Fall 2010!!
  9. My point is that San Jose Bills fan stated Cal-Berkeley was a top 5 academic school in the country, and it is not by any objective measure. As a public school, it is good bang for the buck, but is not in the same company as many of the Ivys, Duke, Stanford etc...
  10. How about this annually highly respected source...it ranks Cal-Berkeley #36 worldwide, #18 in the US and #4 in California...quite a bit away from top #5 in the US http://www.usnews.com/articles/education/w...ollege-rankings
  11. Cal-Berkeley is nowhere near one of the top 5 academic universities in the country. It is a university that has historically been the scene of political activism, but that does not make it a top 5 university
  12. If you want to view practice as best as possible, arrive early. If the team is practicing on the near grass field, sit high up on the bleachers and more towards the end zone NOT closer to the 50 yard line. If you want to avoid the bus lines, there are 2 homes across the street from St. John Fisher which (on most days) have been charging $15 for parking. As for autographs, if you want your kids to be assured McGee or McKelvin, have them show up early to the kids line (at least an hour before practice ends). They will have to prioritize which means more to them, seeing all of practice and hoping players sign at the fence or being guaranteed certain autographs in the kids line. By the way, unless your kids are aggressive, they may get pushed around a bit if they wait by the fences. Unfortunately not all fans exhibit model behavior while waiting for autographs at the fences. I hope that you and your family enjoy your trip.
