  1. If the D puts anything close to another whompuss on the Jets like they did against Washington, I promise to stop calling for Edwards' head on a pike. Because George, your D pitched Shanny's first shutout ever and that sir, was impressive. Now let's what you can do with the Jets.
  2. Very true. Look at Indy. Does anyone think the Colts would be 0-7 with Manning behind the same OL instead of Painter?
  3. Almost anyone is an upgrade over a player who isn't playing. Merriman really didn't have much of an impact and IMO, his achilles is never going to heal all the way.
  4. The best thing you can do to fight back is make them cost the city money instead of making the city money. Play it by the rule book at intersections. No tickets = no revenue. Once the revenue drops below maintenance costs, the cities will look at this a LOT differently.
  5. Hippies? The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers are behind this?
  6. The secret to this is using the players you've got to the best of their strengths & abilities. Far too many coaches try to shove players into schemes and/or positions they are simply not suited for, IMO. Gailey seems to be doing a really good job of plugging players in at the right positions and setting up schemes tailored to what they do best. Like Bum said about The Chin, "He can take his'n and beat your'n, then he can take your'n and beat his'n." Gailey isn't there yet, but he has taken what most people considered one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL and with injuries and all, made it work. Fitz has only been sacked 8 times in 7 games. Big Ben has been sacked 25 times, just for some perspective. Fred Jackson is 4th in the NFL in rushing with 5.5 yards per carry and 103 yards per game average. Those two statistics are due primarily to the outstanding play of the offensive line. A patchwork of guys who put their heads down, dig their cleats in and just get the job done.
  7. Aikman is dull, monotone, uninteresting and monotonous. He ranks up there with the worst in the business.
  8. This would be the first time Shanny got shut out if the score holds up.
  9. Or he could just be one of those dull, uninteresting people.
  10. Blame Molsons. Now would be a good time to pull Freddy out.
  11. Aikman struggles to make any game interesting. He's really boring.
  12. The D needs some rest. They've been on the field too much since halftime.
  13. We really need to get at least a couple of first downs, here. The O line isn't giving Fitz much time.
  14. The D needs to get off the field. The D is staying on the field too long. We need to get the ball back and start burning some clock. There's a whole quarter to go.
  15. Why are we throwing 8 yards short of the chain on 3rd down? WTF?
  16. Agreed. I have called for Edwards' head in practically every game, but the D is playing and tackling well.
