  1. I had the surgery a number of yrs ago, 4-6 yrs back. Had the septum repaired, tubine bones filed down, excess adnoid tissue removed and ear tubes put in both ears, I have chronic sinustitsus was in the hospital over night, had some bleeding but nothing to serious ENT came in the next morning checked me out and removed the packing from my nose, I could not believe how much packing they got in there and it was all bloody, dried blood but still bloody. only instructions I was given was to NOT sleep laying down for a few days and NOT to blow my nose, I was given painkillers but only took them at night The pain I had was not that bad, but I do have a very high pain threshold If you want to know anything else shoot me a PM John
  2. I can't agree with you more Doug! I had sinus surgery about 4-5 yrs ago, corrected a deviated septum, filed down the tubine bones in the nose, removed some excess adnoid tissue and inserted tubes in both of my ears. After the surgery my ENT asked how i was feeling and told me my breathing sounded heavy, I tole him I felt tired most of the time and had alot of trouble waking up in the mornings. I too snore, have since I was a kid, but when I was a kid I was a very heavy sleeper, my mom used to say "A bomb could go off under your bed and you wouldn't wake up!" But anyway, my ENT sent me to have a sleep study done, results showed I have the worst type of sleep apena, Obstructive Sleep Apena, the tech said durning the test I stopped breathing upto 1 minute at a time about 100 times! No wonder I was tired! The ENT saw the results and sent me back to the sleep center to have them determine just how strong a CPAP I needed. I think my CPAP is set for 14 psi, when the CPAP compnay deliveried the CPAP the nurse showed me how to use it and had me put it on and see how it felt... What a difference! Sitting upright I do not have much broblem breathing, unless my sinuses are acting up or i have a cold. For about 3 months after I had been using the CPAP I noticed I was waking up in the morning with headaches, lower back ache and very dry mouth , I found out this was normal until I got used to the CPAP, 6 months into using the CPAP I asked the ENT if I could get a humidifier for the CPAP, just a water bath that the air flows over before it foes into yoru nose, made quite a difference in the dry mouth. I do still wake up with headaches and lower back ache, but this usually only happens if I sleep too much (>8 hours) I still have alot of problems with my sinuses and the ENT has suggested surgery to go in and scrape the maxilary sinus out and pack the frontal sinus cavities with fat, but I know a few people that have had that surgery and are worse off now than before the surgery. SO I will forgo this and just deal with my chronic sinustitus and take benedryl or extra-strength tyenol when the headache hurts too much man is this a long reply or what!
  3. When I saw the scene where Rose was stuck in the snow I was thinking that could be Buffalo, then they had the Niagara Falls scene... From the angle of the view it would seem that Rose and Bernard are at the "Top of The Falls" Resturant on Goat Island. I wonder how much research the writers did to make it seem like it was filmed in Buffalo/Niagara Falls? Just an aside, being from Niagara Falls myself, I do not see "the Falls" as that big a deal, since I lived within a 15-20 min bike ride from it, but, people that are not from the immediate area, like Rose (maybe) could see it in a different light than the locals... If the writers have another background episode of Rose and Bernard planned maybe they will include the Senaca Casino next... I wonder if the local papers Niagara Gazzette or Buffalo News will have anything about Niagara Falls being shown in this episode. I really doubt that!

  12. I know the season technically hasn't ended yet but looking to the future... It is my opinion that the Bills NEED EM back next year. Since his CAP number is >$10m he is getting older and a bit slower lets see if the Bills mgt (whoever that is) can get him to redo his contract I think EM has 3 maybe 4 years left what if mgt offers him a 4 yr $20M contract w/$12 SB year 1 Salary vet min + SB = vet min + $3 year 2 Salary $1.2M + SB = $1.2 + $3 = 4.2M year 3 Salary $2M + SB = $2 + $3 = $5M year 4 Cut = deadcap $3 opinions?

  16. How soon everyone forgets! The Bills practiced for years on the campus of Niagara University How many of you went there when they held training camp there? I went a couple times with my dad when I was younger and then when i was working at the Campus Store at NU I regularly meet/saw/talked to a number of the Bills players, coaches and management personel Training field was about 100 feet from the Gym, the players and coaches stayed in O'Shea the boys dorm, ate at the students dining room, my best friends Mom worked there. I am sure the players went off campus after their nightly meetings, they were close to Downtown Niagara Falls, which at the time still had some things to do, just a 10min drive to the Canadian Ballet in NF, Ontario and if they wanted to, they could go to Lewistown and take in the local historical sites Just a little reminder that the Bills practiced at places other than Fredonia and SJF
  17. /ranton The Senecas DO NOT pay any tax They are a sovergin nation according to treaties with the US Pataki and his cronies gave the Senecas the Convention Center and the land around it, anything that the Senecas do on that land can not be taxed What Niagara County and Niagara Falls are fighting about is the 25% "share" of a percentage of the gross profits from only the slot machines. This was negotited by NYS and the Seneca Nation The Nation pays X amount to NYS, NYS in turn "gives" 25% of that to the City or Niagara Falls to cover expenses related to the Casino Niagara County wants 60-75% of the CIty of Niagara Falls cut because 60-75% of the population live outside of the CIty proper The City was not in the negotions, it was Pataki and his cronies that gave the land to the Seneca Nation, and took all of those lands off the property tax rolls of the City. The City of Niagara Falls is the one that should be getting the 75% of the negotited revenues and the state shoud be getting 25% or less! This is only fair since Niagara Falls has lost millions in property taxes and the City should be the one that decides where the money goes not the county. But given the corruption in the current and previous City administations even if the City was getting the 75% the money would be funneled to "pet" projects of the existing/future adminstrations /rantoff
