Simply put no other team in the NFL went beyond one year not throwing for 300 yards. The Bills (MdcD coached)managed to do that for three straight years.
So you are saying it is McDermott’s fault?

I know Oldmanfan will go back to the 300 yard comments (which I still am gobsmacked that McD did not have a 300 yard passing game the first first three years as coach) and the fact the Bills were a hard team to watch and right at the bottom offensively those three years.
It’s hard to figure who you are blaming here. McDermott for not coaching a 300 yard game, Beane for not providing the talent to do it, the QB for not being good enough to do it, or the WRs not being good enough to catch with enough yards? -

4M for a good pass rusher is a bargain. Ask Justin Houston and Melvin Ingram. The “over the hill” pass rushers that nobody wants are all doing what they’ve always done. Pressuring the QB.
The defense failed with Hughes, and was clearly better with Miller. Hughes should not be part of the conversation. Different level of player, and there should be no disagreement about that. To insinuate that we should have kept Hughes instead of signing Miller is …. Not bright.

Good thing we let Jerry go!! 😔
Oh please. As if that should even be part of the conversation.

My prediction? New England. Bellyache liked him coming out of college. He'll be cheap (relatively) and it makes sense given Mac is not good.

I think we need to remember that many players have called the offense complex. It probably impacts RBs quite a bit when it comes to protection, routes and blocking schemes that likely change in the fly. Let’s not rush to judgement.

I would love for the 2020 beasley to come back. That guy doesn't exist any more. He's oft injured and slower than he used to be.

I'm F'ing Irish. I nearly died 4x due to cancer (Which had ZERO familial history). I've literally never won a single bet I've placed...
These are #FACTS
When people tell me I wear a tinfoil hat, I show them my scars.
Thankful to see some math behind the inanity... I know what I've lived through...
You & me both, brother. I got a cancer called chordoma so rare only 300 people get it in the US a year. Not genetic. Just unlucky. I have wicked, nasty scars on my ass you wouldn't believe. Unlucky. My ass modeling career is over. I got side effects from radiation that only 4% of people who get my kind of radiation get. Unlucky.
I never win anything in games of chance or luck. I run a fantasy football league (which as we all know is more luck than skill) and it took me 19 years to win it. Unlucky.
I bring bad weather on most trips I take. I've been to the Grand Canyon but have never seen it. Freak snow storm - whiteout - couldn't see the canyon despite standing on the edge of it.
Went to Cabo San Lucas and rode ATVs. It rained. I asked the guide how often it rains. He said 3 or 4 times a year. Golf trips - RAIN. Golf trip in Orlando, Fla - Frost delays and cold. Yeah, I'm the king of bad luck.
Bad luck is a thing.

They've missed 2019 and 2020 Beasley ... not 2021 Beasley and certainly not whatever 2022 Beasley would have looked like.
There's a reason he's sitting at home. And no ... it's not covid-related.
Exactly. The Bills really miss the 2019 and 2020 Beasley. That person doesn’t exist any more. Crowder wouldn’t have been at his level, but since he’s hurt there’s nobody to step in. Excited to see what Hines will provide when he’s up to speed.

“Just about every” is a real reach here. They’ve definitely missed completely on a few, a few have taken time to become serviceable, but just in the fast handful of years, they found Rousseau, Elam, Hamlin, Davis, Bass, Jackson, Knox, Singletary, Oliver, and of course Allen, Dawkins, Edmunds and Johnson. They’re all starting within a year or two of their selection. I hope you don’t typically expect day-1 impact from most draft choices, because that’s not realistic.
This is not to say each of the above are superstars. They are high quality contributors with growth potential. So, let’s not confuse somebody saying guys like Edmunds suck with the fact they all became NFL quality players in less than 3-years.
Can’t forget Milano

Exactly. Without Allen this team is struggling to stay around .500
which is exactly why Beane sucks and McDermott sucks. They obviously rely on an amazing QB too much and Beane doesn’t have a pro-bowl qb as backup. Clearly a bad GM. Nor do they have a pro-bowl edge rusher to back up Miller, nor can they scheme around injuries so McDermott obviously sucks. All bad GM and bad coaching. It sucks mcdermott can’t scheme around the heat in Miami, and didn’t have enough staff t give every player an iv between possessions. Fire them both. Now.6 hours ago, Sammy Watkins' Rib said:
And Allen’s arm was fine when he threw 4 interceptions including two red zone INTs just prior to his elbow injury. And his arm has looked lively as ever post injury so I have a hard time putting his recent struggles all on the elbow injury. .
Do you watch the games? Even the most ignorant of fans can see his elbow is an issue.

Allen is wonderful but he needs to be accountable just like everyone else on the team.
Are you suggesting he's not? He's effing awesome, and that throw to Diggs, despite gutting it out with an injury proves it. Any other answer than "Josh is awesome and I ask forgiveness for anything I've ever said even remotely negative about him" is what fools think. Repent.

Anyone who doesn't like Allen, doesn't appreciate him, or disses him in any way can go to hell. You aren't real Bills fans, and likely ate lead paint chips as a child.

IMHO i feel moving on from Beasley was a very big mistake for Josh in particular he was the safety blanket that 99.9 times out of 100 would move the chains but because some at 1 Bills dr were more worried about team perception in the NFL than having some one they could always depend on to fight in any situation the Bills are where they are with that position .
But they have tried to reinforce that position with others that are either hurt or still learning the game so with these new pieces that will take time for Josh to develop what he has lost by the moves that have been made & i think we are seeing that on the field .
But because those given 100 receptions a year that were lost & were mostly the receptions that were the ones that kept drives alive to keep the offense on the field we are seeing our offense struggle in games where it use to be easy .
It's the same thing when chemistry is interrupted . I remember certain bands that would lose 1 member just 1 and the bands future turned completely in a different direction !
Look at Zeplin with out Bonham, Molly Hatchet with out Danny Joe, then there are teams that lose 1 player & the change takes time to find another to replace the production so even though thoughts are usually that its easy to replace certain parts or pieces it can be proven that in some cases it is not as easy as it was thought to be .
I think they miss the beasley of 2019 and maybe 2020. The beasley of 2021 was in quite the decline, and he himself realized it when he retired from the Bucs after a few weeks. But to your point, I think they do miss his ability to find a spot in a zone and be a reliable outlet for Josh. I think Crowder would have been OK eventually. But they certainly miss a reliable slot WR, and McKenzie is not filling that role.

I heard that they were going to come back to Buffalo and then go back to Detroit on Wednesday. Doesn’t make sense to me but not sure what they ended up doing. Does anyone know?
They came back. It makes sense because injured players can get treatment in Buffalo and their superior facility vs. trying to deal with it in Detroit, where they won't have access to those things.

Are you hanging your hat on week 3? Since then our defense looks very different. When the depth guys in the secondary took over look at the passing and running stats in the last 3 games. It’s our job to question the way the team is constructed.
Questioning is great. The answer is you are wrong.

I love your objectivity because it’s hard for Bills fans to accept a team that drafted Josh, Edmunds,Milano and traded for Diggs, actually have gaping holes in their secondary depth and receiving corp and O-line. As a GM you can’t use ignorance of the length of injuries as an excuse. The reference to KC is sadly on the money. They’re proactive and have filled holes beautifully. It doesn’t hurt to have number 15 either .
Well, the bills beat KC in KC. So what is your point, that KC didn’t really lose?
Beane is a fantastic GM. To think otherwise is foolish.

And…..boom.
Facts folks.
McDermott is a bad HC covered up by a generational talented QB who’s being wasted.
Doug Collins 2.0.
I guess Andy reid sucks, too. Great logic.
Unreal how people will use useless trivia and facts to try to prove a point. Just shows a lack of critical thinking. You qualify.

Unless you’ve struggled with the physical and mental challenges of a major surgery that requires extensive rehab, you need to stfu.
I have. It’s horrendous. And I’m not even a pro athlete. I remember the fist time I mowed my lawn. I’d done it hundreds of times before, but now it was different somehow. I remember the first time I practiced putting. I remember my first swing with a wedge and first with a driver. It’s scary, man. Physically difficult and mentally maddening. I went from breaking 80 regularly to having trouble shooting 100, and I didn’t know if I’d ever get back again. And that’s only golf!
Tre gets all the time he needs as far as I’m concerned.

No. Beane had built an awesome roster. Insane people are suggesting he hasn’t. Insane I tell you!

It was a bad call, but the bills should never have been in position to lose that game. Allen had a bad game, and the defense was really bad.
I'm glad we have McDermott

So I guess following that logic, the awesome games passing in 2020, 2021, and this year we’re to McDermott’s credit. Furthermore, if his first years were that horrible, the trajectory he’s on is one of the best in the nfl. Great coaching. Irrefutable.
