Anyone else think Rodgers is a candidate for the Most Punchable Face Award?

Coleman did enough pre injury that there's reason for optimism. He needs to make a big jump but it's not a pipe dream
Agreed. I rewatched the season recently. The difference pre- and post-injury was significant. Arrow was definitely point up early in the season. We saw glimpses of why he was drafted. Fought for balls, good catch radius. Aggressive and looked strong. Totally different after.

Hey all - attached is a calendar file you can import to whatever calendar you use that has all the Bills games.

I'd like to give both cooper and kincaid the benefit of the doubt regarding injury.
I do not have elite athletic skills, but I used to be a decent golfer. I was certainly not as long as a pro, and I wasn't scratch. But I could hit it pretty good. I had lower back surgery (removed my tailbone and 1/2 of my sacrum, moved my glute muscles around to deal with that) and looking at me, you'd never know. I'm essentially the same guy. Nobody can tell. But I can. I have the same swing, but I've lost 30 yards of distance off the tee, and it isn't just age. My rounds under 80 are not common now. Occasional, not regular.
My point is that people have no idea what an injury can do to an athlete. My swing changes are minor to the untrained eye. Imagine an elite athlete dealing with an injury that impacts their training and what they do. Your brain thinks your body can do what it used to, but somehow your body just doesn't respond. Fans like us can't see the difference. But players can feel it and it is a real thing.
I expect Kincaid to bounce back after he fully heals. Cooper isn't the same story. He's older, and just won't bounce back. Don't underestimate the impact of a lower body injury on an elite athlete. Kincaid will be fine.

I'd love to hear the perspective of those who gave it an F or thereabouts.

"Dumb" is pretty strong language, bub, especially from someone with obvious reading problems. No need to apologize. We all have moments of utter stupidity.
Oh yeah bub? Well, when you point your finger at me, there’s 3 (wait, let me count, because I’m utterly stupid … one .. two … yeah three) pointing back at you. So there. Burn!

I have no problems with a tub of goo at DT; I just think a guy who can stretch the field on key downs and stop defenses from cheating up would be more valuable, giving the short passing game and runners more room. He doesn't (didn't) need to be a fantastic, just good enough to pose a threat downfield, so a potentially bigger return on that fourth-round pick than Walker.
So a 4th round rookie WR was going to start in 2025 and quickly become the #1 WR and solve all our problems? LOL!
The offseason isn't over. If you want to improve you WR room you don't do it by grabbing a mid-round WR and calling him a savior. That's just dumb.
There are a bunch of FA WRs that are speedy remaining. Take a breath.

I believe it’s obvious
If your answer is safety, yes it is obvious.

Mahomes has Rice, Hollywood Brown, Worthy, and now Royals. Burrow has two studs in Chase and Higgins. Hurts has DeVonta and AJ Brown. Allen? Shakir, who has never had a 1000 yard season, Coleman, a slow possession receiver who wasn't even catching jump balls late last year, Palmer, who is supposed to be the second coming of Jerry Rice but who the receiver-starved Chargers happily let go, Samuels, who we keep making excuses for, and a bunch of practice squad level players. Color me underwhelmed.
Meanwhile, he continues to dump--DUMP--resources into the defensive line. Lovely to have, what, four big investments in the DT position, but at the expense of mediocrity at another key position? Maybe he's planning to trade for Pickens or someone. But I doubt it. As others have said, he's probably thinking, "Hey, Allen and the running game did it all last year, so let's assume they'll be able to do the same again this year. What could go wrong?"
Let's watch Jalen Royals, whom he could have picked instead of Walker. I really, really hope I'm wrong, but I have a feeling it's not going to be pretty.
Wow. What was the Bills' offensive ranking last year? Hmmm. How many points per game allowed? Hmmm. Your argument doesn't hold up. Look where the team ranked on defense and stopping the run. Oh, and 3rd down! That's the problem. Glad Beane doesn't read some of the dumbass stuff people write here.

Everyone saying that we have the highest scoring offense, points per game, ect. Yes, we do but our last two seasons have ended with 17 having the ball in his hands with a chance to win and nobody could get open and/or dropped passes. Beane pointing out the obvious grand slam he hit drafting Allen and ignoring the many high pick whiffs he's had recently I think was wrong.
I'd love to hear an explanation how WRs lost the game vs the defense. The answer is pretty clear. It's the defense, and has been for years. Beane did the right thing by focusing on D in the draft. That is fact.

I guess it is the normal post-draft freak out season. Logic flies out the window and whiny emotions step in the front door. Hilarious that people think the Bills are drafting to fill holes this year. Not even worth discussing with the whiners.

People so easily forget that we are not drafting for 25 in the lower rounds. We’re drafting for ‘26, ‘27, and 28. Makes sense when you look at the roster.

Someone make this make sense
It’s the 5th round of the draft and we have a full roster, so taking flyers is a good idea. Does that help?

Really good offseason so far. Disappointing about the ped suspensions. Really wish Beane found a way to get a 1 tech before the draft. That’s a huge gap in the line and will impact the play of the rest of the line and the lbs. to me that’s a place where you can pay a premium knowing you can impact the rest of the d with one position.

If you're getting your primary Bills info from OBL, then you need to branch out. They are OBVIOUSLY going to side with the team on everything because they are paid by the team. Gotta hit other sources, as well.
Thankfully we've come a long way from the days of Chuck Dickerson and Jerry Sullivan who would take any negative angle possible.

Is he going to do more than the 13 seconds game? Money doesn't buy you happiness and offense doesn't guarantee you wins. It does help a lot. Still not a guarantee.
Exactly! Gabe Davis had 4 touchdowns in that game. Dang incredible. It wasn't WRs that lost that game, it was Frasier and the ST coach who screwed it all up. Would more WRs have won that game? No way.
But yeah, keep digging for ways beane sucks. You'll hit the center of the earth soon and we won't have to listen to that garbage any more.

Wish I had the time.

Well duh. Of course we didn't, because our WR room was pretty good with Beasley, Davis and Diggs. And I'm not sure we are counting the Diggs trade in those numbers, because we gave up three draft picks for him. Then one for gabe davis. Look, I know people will take any angle they can to hate on the current administration, but just stop. It's stupid.
-
I think maybe a middling WR before the draft (and that will trigger the negative reactionaries) and depending on the draft, a CB afterwards.
Hard "no" on Diggs. He burned that bridge by asking for a release or trade.

Bills badly need a dominant 1-tech. That leads to better opportunities for our LBs and DEs to make an impact, not to mention our 3-tech DL. Nobody on the Bills interior consistently requires double teams, and a real 1 tech would help.
I don’t really follow the draft - just don’t have the time - so I’m not qualified to know what players might fit that need. But there’s gotta be somebody that fits the bill. And lots of draft capital to move around to get one.

I didn’t read this whole thread,, is Elam the biggest bust draft pick on Beane’s resume?
No doubt. Huge mistake.

And we're doing the same this year. I'm not sure what point you're making. We need a major influx of talent if the goal is to realistically compete for a Super Bowl. If the goal is to just make the playoffs and lose, then by all means run it back.
Then what was your plan? What would you do better? Let’s be realistic here, too, if you are capable?
