what I am saying is that the only difference is an international border. Milwaukee didn't steal away the Packers just because they played some games there. I bet most would be all for this and see no problems (even if the team moved) if Toronto was south of Buffalo instead of North, or Toronto was part of the US and not Canada

maybe that reason could be that he does not have a potential buyer serious enough to be able to sell the entire team to? Its not like he has a line up out of his office right now of local buyers pledging to keep the team in Buffalo right now and he just keeps yelling at them to get lost. The closest thing he has had was a few months ago Jim Kelly went to the media saying he has this secret group of investors willing to purchase the team with cash. Everyone else that has ever been mentioned here (Rich, Golisano, Jacobs) are only people that fans have assumed could do it because they are wealthy and possibly have the money with connections to the city. And out of those, only Golisano said that he may be interested in looking into it. The problem with this is that its not easy to unload an almost Billion dollar assett to someone in Buffalo, that is going to be willing and able to afford to continue to run the team in the area, without the help of other areas (like Toronto).

Made a reservation on Smartcar today

I believe the 'M' liscence is dependent on the speeds the bike can reach and the power of the motor. The scooters don't go fast enough to require a liscense to operate. Although, give it time, when everyone starts buying them the government may want to get their hands in there and start charging for a liscence to operate one so they can hit you with some fees -
My school system is taking two "snow" days in June

guess it would just be easier then if they called them "Bad Weather" Days if everything is included (huricanes/power outages/etc) -
the owner doesn't give a straight answer because there really is no straight answer to be given. He could come out and say he will only sell the team to local investors that will keep the team in Buffalo, but he really has no control over that after he gives them up, and would also have to find local investors that actually have the funds to buy them and afford to run them in Buffalo. As for the GB/milwaukee comparision, distance wise, they are about the same distance apart as Buffalo and Toronto, only there is no border in between them.

to you bills fans, can you help me?

You know Bill Bellicheck? Seriously people, no one up to this point had thrown in that joke? hmm, maybe I should get a copy of my first game in attendance at RWS. It was a cold and icy day, and it was the Pats/Bills in December, and Buffalo had yet to score a TD until the 4th. Flutie came in in relief of Brady late in the game. We were already heading out to our car when we heard the shout song after the Bills scored a TD (I believe it was a Josh Reed TD). They were free tickets from my friends grandfather, 5 rows from the field at around the 30-40 yard line, behind the Pats bench. It was definitly not a great game to watch. Most of the games after that have been much better. Jax, Miami, and the cold Christmas Eve game against the Titans 2 years ago, and then the Broncos, Jets, Ravens, and Giants this year -
The team's success will depend on two people:

I would take back Greg Williams anyday over Mularky. Williams could be a good coach, but he just failed in his first try. Mularky has failed to stay an OC since leaving the Bills while Williams has done very well going back to being a DC and has been talked about as getting a second chance at HC -
But these are all assumptions, something a few of us were berated for making when it came to Hardy possibly pointing a gun at his father. Yet when it comes to Bellichek and the Pats, those rules are thrown out the window.
-
Did they? Is there any proof of this?
-
that is the entire point I have been trying to make though. Everyone here was so quick to dismiss any wrong doings by Hardy and no matter what was said it was wrong because it was an assumption or there weren't enough details. Yet everyone will crucify someone on another team for something theres also no more proof of. Do you have any proof that after they were caught in the Jets game that they continued to cheat this season? Or are you just assuming that because they were accused of cheating in the past, that they just continued to do it after people knew they did it? If they did continue to do it, I give them credit for being able to pull it off with the entire world keeping their eyes open for them cheating and being in the spotlight of going undefeated. I never said anything about the Pats past, only refering to after the Jets game when they were outed by Mangini for cheating, and still went undefeated the rest of the year. And I'm still trying to figure out how I crucified Hardy. All I ever said was that if it was true that he pointed a gun at someone over just a verbal dispute, he should be seeking counciling/anger management. Your trying to make it out that I said he should be sentenced to death no matter what, or kicked out of the league just because this story came out. I have said before too that the NFL taking any action against him would not be right because the police never charged him with anything. But go on believing whatever you want about me off of your assumptions.

And Jaurons success will depend on the success of his offensive and defensive co-ordinator, and players staying healthy. Who knows what kind of success the team could have had if it wasn't starting street FA's half way through the season because their original starters were all on IR. I'm not convinced that he doesn't know what he is doing or is a bad coach due to the Dallas game, a game they should have never been in, and if it was for the defence, they would have been blown out, and if the offence would have been mediocre at best and scored some more points, they would have won. -
neither did this ninja

Is this for real? Seriously, I wish I could just up and retire when I felt any kind of pressure at work, unfortunatly I never received anything near his salary or a signing bonus for taking my job that i go to 5 days a week for 40+ hours. These "athletes" that cry and complain about the pressure should just quit and get real jobs. You are playing a freakin game for a living and making millions a year to do it. You have your names on jerseys and are doing things any of us would love to do for a fraction of the amount they make. Sure theres pressure to perform, and fans can be harsh, but thats why you are making the million dollar contracts to play a game.

One quick question though, if they were caught cheating after the first game against the jets, and their success is because they cheated and knew the opponents plays before hand, how come they still made the SB, with it being their only loss?

Technically, I'm only 1/2 Polack too, on my dads side. My mom is actually an American who was born in germany, making me half German and half Polack. And my dual citizenship makes me half Canadian and half American too.

Any word on Chris Ellis?

The Croise would keep Hamdan out of harms way -
In that case I would understand re-negotiating it, but thats a very rare case But thats not really the case with Peters right now. He signed the deal when he was already an emerging linemen. If this was him wanting to renegotiate the deal he signed as an UFA tight End, then i would agree.
-
I agree. But its buisness. No one wants to be "underpaid", even if they agreed to the previous deal and played better. The buisness doesn't want to overpay, and would rather underpay (ie have a person paid fairly working above their potential and pay). The problem is, Peters, like many players, knows he is good and could get what he wants on the open market. So he can threaten to hold out and eventually get what he wants because he knows the Bills don't want to lose him. The thing is that I don't think that he is going to hold out and will play, but would like to rework the deal. Personally (and I know the Players association would never agree to it), I think that salaries and signing bonuses should all be based off of a flat rate plus incentives. An NFL QB would make, say $750,000 (this pay could also be on a scale based on experience and years in the league) a year just for being on a team, then would receive bonuses for certain stats. You would then have players giving 150% every game because they want the money, no one would be overpaid because they are paid based on production. You could remove the cap on salaries, and cap only the signing bonuses, this way it would limit teams with bigger incomes/markets from being able to steal all the big names because the teams would ahve to take into account how mauch they give in signing bonuses. I know its all a pipe dream though and would never happen though, but it would be the best way to run things. Another option could be to do like the NHL and say that you can not renegotiate a deal, and can not sign a player to an extension until the final year of the deal

And I never said there wasn't reasonable doubt, she as just as much credibility saying she saw a gun, as the person being accused coming back and saying that he didn't have a gun. Some people here though want everyone to disregard what some old woman (who's probably blind and off her meds) eye witness says she saw, but will believe 100% what the person being accused is saying

Is Danny Briere the "new" McNabb?
apuszczalowski replied to LevysEraII's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Because it is still farther then Buffalo made it this year without him. Its not "Easier to take" because it still means Buffalo didn't make the playoffs without him, and the Flyers went from dead last to the ECF's with him -
No, I read that and I understood that. So the Guy that they said had a gun came out and said that there was no gun. Wow, what a shocker, a person accused of having a gun said there was no gun. Its an open and shut case now. My question was just about how that interview "Clears the Air"? I guess if you take his word 100% then you can say that, but I don't trust anyones word 100% that I don't know rather well, especially the word of someone who just 3 weeks ago was a college kid that many were questioning his character. Like I have said before, I'm not condemning the kid, saying he should be going to jail, be suspended, or that he is a no good thug, like you want to believe I am. My only comment was that if he was in an argument with his father and pulled a gun out, then he should be looking at anger management/counsiling. If this guy is as good of a receiver as some say, and can play like that in the NFL, I'm glad the Bills took him and can't wait to seehim on the field. I guess that I just like the idea of him being a Bill on the field, instead of suspended in the future because he has issues (which I am not saying he does, but if he did pull a gun on his father during in arguement, thats a good sign that he has issues) And take all the shots you want about Canada and being slow, but I will take a Canadian education over an American one anyday. And I enjoy the fact that I can go for a walk outside at night (or any time) without a gun strapped to me somewhere, and can go to bed without a gun next to me or even having to lock my doors for fear of having someone break in and rob/kill me.
