peters is the 3rd best tackle on the team right now. i think his great season last year had a lot to do with having a stud LG beside him. we have over rated him as fans, and paying him top dollar would be a sin. he deserves his current contract.

i think edwards could look better, but those last 2 3rd down passes to hardy were balls he could step back and get. he's not playing well.

is it the same thing as that tho? making t shirts is very clearly using the trademark, but reporting on it is protected (there is precedent). even if the journalistic merits of a particular publication are slight to say it nicely (tabloids, etc.) they have been found to be protected as free press before. i'm not sure how it would work out, but if it has been battled out in court i'd be interested to see how it went. i'm pretty sure almost all fights with the nfl end with the first letter sent to the fan site or the web server.

my point is moralization saying that things just shouldn't be said is weak and unamerican. trying to stop it from being posted is garbage weak sauce-- just don't frequent sites that you don't like. about the logo thing -- sure they can file legal action, that's not exactly hard to do in this country. the question is will they win? if i have a fan site making constant fun of the pats (for example) and they file legal action against me, will they win in court? i can claim fair usage and that i'm not using their IP, and that i have freedom of speech and am writing satire (celebs can't sue AND WIN against tabloids if the tabloids aren't publishing outright lies).

do they? can i not use an image on a website that i own? i know the nfl has exerted pressure on web server providers and such, but do they have any legal authority to stop a site using team logos?

jesus lv, do you get off on whinging? they get A CHANCE. season ticket holders get first dibbs, these guys get second. they bought multiple game tickets, and you have a problem with them buying game tickets for the play offs? it doesn't matter if you live in buffalo AT ALL. if you live in toronto and buy season tickets, you get a shot at the playoffs. do you really care that much how far the fan in the seat has to travel to support them team?

mort is wrong and stroud is sick, but i would like to provide the counter point that our d is sick even with stroud on the bench. and williams is coming into his own as a really solid guy, and spencer johnson is a human pit bull. carry on.

the spin you guys put on this is laughable. peters has been bad. he's beat guys up a few times on good blocks, but hes an OT not a DT, it's about being consistent, not making the occasional big play. he got benched for chambers who played better than peters has been playing. he then came in and played better. this is because he is out of shape and he got a swift kick up the ass from the coaches. dick came out and said peters was dominant AT TIMES. any mouth breather saying that dick is lying or peters played well being the only two possibilities is dumb. dick is benching peters and then talking him up in the post game because he thinks thats how peters will best be coached and motivated. peters is way behind where he was last year and needs to get better really quickly if he expects a big contract at the end of the season. our coach is not as bad as people say, and our LT is not as good as people say. and it's a team game anyway, so put the ball washing rags down!!!!

even with the int/bad call to evans, in the 3rd the O made a nice adjustment being more direct and using misdirection on the faiders. i think that gave our line some confidence and got the raiders running all day for nothing, and by the 4th they were just dog tired. they had nothing left at all, those runs by marshawn were 2 and 3 guys just holding on for dear life. i really like how our giant giant (biggest in the nfl!) line plays late, but we need to figure a way to get some early punishment in so we are pushing them around into the 3rd quarter.

we are at denver this season. that could be a sick match up.

i learned that the raiders have some serious monster talent. the cb's are great, asminwhatever is HUGE and awesome, might really be the best. huff is v good. tardel sands, kelly, and burgess are monster d linemen. they have a ton of high picks on the o line who can really get on their guy quickly. higgens is a speedy monster on ST and that one catch, and the raiders have best punter and strongest legged kicker in the nfl. russell has a wicked arm but obviously has a lot of weaknesses. oh and the raiders back field is loaded. still, inspite of all that and bad plays (3 turnovers, UG) by our best players on O (evans and peters) we came out and won.

you know, i think you guys are onto something. the raiders were out physicalling (such a non word but is used so much! there was an irregardless fight in the game thread!! lol) us and then all of a sudden it was the bills who were packing the punch. the raiders play close to the limit and that took us off guard for 3 quarters, BUT THEN THEY GOT INTO GET AWAY WAGONS, AND YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE BILLS SEE THOSE WAGONS!!!!!

he's just the perfect guy for our team.
