  1. willis had a bad game against KC he still got about 70 yards, that's good for over 1100 a year. that's his bad game when mike williams and villerial have been healthy willis has run all over people. once we get our line straight he has a shot at 2K. i'll take him over freaking steve daivs
  2. i want clements to be a bill. that said, i would support not resigning him if we get something out of it/get somebody with the money we would have otherwise spent. if we move vincent to corner and barker to fs, we won't have TOO much drop off in the secondary, and might be able to go out and sign le'charles and hutch, making our line super charged. we might cut big mike, but when he has been healthy he has been a meh pass blocker and a dominant run blocker. the best possibility for the team would be for him to come down on his contract and we put him at RT and work peters at LT. teague is gone and for about 1.5Mil more a year we can have a top flight guy like bently at center, so i'd go with that. all this said, if we get clements to sign a not crazy champ bailey contract we could keep him, draft a DT or 2, get edwards and spikes back from injury and STILL sign at least 2 more upgrade o linemen (through the draft and by teague leaving) and perhaps have the best overall team we have in a long while. no matter what, i think we will get clements or an extra pick and some good new players for our team this offseason.
  3. playing with TKO, lodon, posey and so on is a big plus to a guy like crowell he came in with raw tools and learned the game as well as the confidence and high expectations of himself to perform. i think moulds has rubbed that off on evans and all of our secondary feel that way.
  4. with TT's costs off the books, and IF we cut or reneg big mike and moulds, we should be in solid cap shape. i could see milloy or london being cut or blend and extend targets too. signing clements would be a huge plus, and i don't think his stats look that good this year compared to angelo, mcgee or even vincent and milloy, so he shouldnt' get that top top dollar pay (how smart was signing mcgee anyhow? he really looks solid as a corner). that leaves us in the running for bently and hutch. i'd like us to get both, but if only one i'd take bently, he is a monster in the middle. if we keep mike we might move peters to LT, or mike might work out at RG, or we could draft an LT on day one. preston to LG or a first day guard would be an upgrade at LG too, so we have a couple options on how to upgrade our line. we need to grab the best DT or 2 we can find in the draft, and grady jackson wouldn't hurt either. i'd like to keep sam, but he isn't doing it that well here. we might be able to cut moulds, but i really think a pay cut and extention would work.
  5. fly overs get me so psyched i kick my mom in the face!
  6. damn!!! i figured as much, but was aiming to fish out a tom clements fan (i swear there is one on another board). this dude on this other board is also a HUGE kelly holcomb fan. no he isn't "Dawgged", but yes he might be drunk (always).
  7. huh? i don't get that, are you a tom clements fan?
  8. i think tom clements might be on some kind of secret brewster's millions mission. he might have to run 1000 terrible gadget plays while still not losing his job to get his final payoff of a rubber spine transfusion so he can actually cram his head up his own ass. right now he can only do so figuratively and it is just eating him up inside.
  9. seriously now. i wanted jp to sit his jumpy ass down after Q1 against hotlanta. holcomb played about as well as i expected, and i think we would have won atlanta and NO if he started for us. anyhow, i think jp should start now because he snapped out of his funk and realised he needs to do what he does best. today we had some horrible play calling, not once did i see a play fake or a pass agsint a run D or vice versa. the gadget plays that our coaches run to feel like steven hawkings wouldn't be any less effective if they were run by steven hawkings. we also had nothing going on the ground, yet JP came out and made about 5 game changing plays. i honestly think he clued in while on the bench that he could lose his spot to a guy playing OK unless he gets some stuff done, and he came out and did it today. i expect us to be effective if we mix it up on O, run well, run play action, and run JP about 6-12 times a game. i think if JP can make about 7 yards a run his legs are a nice substitute for the effective short pass game from holcomb, and he is miles better at avoiding hits, protecting the football, and throwing deep. he also has a strong enough arm that he might cripple tom clements on the sideline with an "errant" throw and instantly upgrade our entire O
  10. i was big time for the holcomb switch, in fact i think it should have happened 1 or 2 games earlier. that said, the argument that you just can't learn from the bench is WRONG, jp learned to let it hang out a bit while sitting, and came out and got it done today. jp should be our starter now
  11. i disagree. our D didn't give up any back breaking plays, and if you can own the pass as well as we did today all you have to do is keep them out of the red zone and make a single play on first down to take them out of running distance on 2nd and 3rd. our d has been aggressive and made plays since the oakland game, against VERY good Os. they played with big time intensity and got better as the game went on. they also played great on 3rd down and in the redzone. our D and special teams played well early to keep the cheifs from scoring inspite of having some bad drives by the O.
  12. not only are all those gadgets sh--, we also: -- put in MW when he is hurt and at a new position. wtf kind of idea is that? -- run WR screens WITH NO BLOCKING, which is more of just a bad pass -- a lack of running attempts (when we throw on 1st downs we tend to stumble) -- play action passes anyone???!?!?!? we did them against NE, worked, against KC, we did none. i swear we play action less than any team who had a top 5 back in NFL history
  13. williams was made to look a fool on pass plays at guard, but we got hurt right up the gut on blitzes after he was gone too. i tivo all the games, williams is still hurt, he can't move laterally with his ankle(s). he is on his last leg (hahaha, get it?!?!?) as a bill, but in the games he was healthy this year and the last 8 last year, he was dominant in a lot of situations. the bills won't just cut him this off season (unless they ask him to take a cut/restructure and he balks) and will prolly bench him till he is 100% and then put him back at RT.
  14. wiliams is getting a big push on runs and is getting schooled on passes (who knew the guy who never played guard won't know how to deal with stunts?). our coaches suck, we have 150 pound roscoe blocking badly and getting flagged on a run that got called back, little out passes, no TE on the field, and a flee flicker on 3rd and 10. clements is a f@@cking retard (the OC)
  15. some truth to that, but if williams was healthy he'd be playing there and would be effective.
  16. the way this thing plays out will prolly take the thunder away from holdouts. the nfl and the coaches and owners are showing to be strong enough to take the challenge from this crap and rise up. one thing TD is very good at is contract negotiation IMO. he tends to sign good players and let players who won't do much walk
  17. that's f@cking right. there has only ever been one game i wanted the bills to lose, that was against carolina in 01 because i wanted peppers in the draft. that was a late year game and we had a horrible team and had been out of the playoff for about 7 games or so. it still made me feel dirty.
  18. people dog mike williams for the same reason why the dogged bledsoe and worshipped flutie; players with a high draft status and with a good pedigree are big fat targets for people to hate. in the first few games of this year posters (at the other two boards for the bills, was not on this one myself) we talking about cutting moulds and playing JP because he is our future. moulds has been our second best player on O the last 4 games and JP looks shakey riding the bench. people said anyone but drew, and now we are hoping JP or kelly become better players in a hurry while bledsoe is in dallas making a play off and probowl push. the bottom line is if someone is draftede high negative Blo fans will get angry with them unless they are perfect. mike williams is banged up (which might be his big shortcoming), but in the jets game he played great. he was burned early for a bad sack, but then shut down a highly rated jets pass rush and absolutely destroyed his man on many running plays. he is what he is but still has potential and talent to play at a high level. the irony of it all is that many of these same posters were all over kyle turley's jock, even tho he is an injury prone underperforming RT himself (he was LT at NO after roaf left and brooks got KILLED by guys coming free) mostly because of his out of control game costing helmet throw. and because people consider him "blue collar". if we cut williams he would be picked up in days for a big long term contract, although prolly not as much as his current contract. we'd also be left without our best lineman (in terms of overall ability and talent anyhow)
  19. QBs and top flight OTs are the only guys who are very rare in FA. CBs are there sometimes, but are always super expensive. the one move that TD made that bugs me now is pat williams, but if he falls off this year or next it wouldn't have been a bad one. i still think all we need is a couple DTs and more consistent play from our O line and of course the anser to the QB question. if edwards and TKO and Milloy didn't get hurt, i think we'd be top 5ish on D and about 12-15 against the run.
  20. i was at the pats vs bills opener in 03 when we crushed them like ants. i went down with "touchdown tours" from toronto. the human garbage who ran that gong show exist on a sub-carny level. jail house tats, track marks, and a woman with teeth that make the land lady from kingpin look like mary hart. one guy on my bus got kicked out 3 minutes into the game, and this one guy who sat RIGHT BESIDE me and my bro was the biggest loser on earth. he was screaming at the top of his lungs to the pats fans in front of us (who were not bad, but it did help that the bills were winning) F@@K FOR A BUCK!!! YOU WHORES WILL FU@@ FOR A BUCK!! and he said this as they were walking out upset over their team's loss. classy. my all time most hated fan is the flutie fan. wore a flutie jersey, was the above mentioned dumb fan (a WR would make a dive to rescue a duck and not make it and the idiot fans would call it a drop), and laid a damn egg every time flutie made a play (4 yard out, YEAH FLUTIE IS TEH G00D!!!). i hate the flutie fan, to this day!!
  21. it seems that players who played behind established or great guys at Miami come out and do well, i think it is because the compete so hard for the roster spots that they really have an idea of what it takes to get to the next level. Winslow was behind shockey, and evrett was behind him parish was behind moss/competing with the other moss portis is a good example, was a bit under the radar but was prepared to play at a high level after having competed with some super athletes year long at miami. lets hope roscoe and evrette are more of the same
  22. i see the pats splitting with us, miami (a loss at the pennington's might happen, but not so likely) and losing to tampon/KC. if we go 9-7 we have a VERY good chance of making it to the post season. I expect the AFC west to fall apart like it always does, so we even have a shot at a play off win!! MAYBE
  23. williams is a super talent at RT, he has struggled in pass blocking tho. in a LG posiiton he should be able to just drive forward and destroy people. one downside of having him at RT is that he will get beat by the odd speed rush, and on a run block he is destroying a LE, where as you'd want a man that big and strong to take out a DT. LG might be a great fit for him, and most importantly anderson won't be able to single handedly lose us the game (NE fumble)
  24. the bills are a call or two from being alone for 1st in the AFC east we are also putting in the right quaterback at the start of the season from being at least 5-3. we are not a perfect team, but the teams that are getting love all around the AFC: Jax Cincy Pitts NE SD KC are all very beatable and have the records to show it. a healthy bills team is hard to beat in buffalo, we may well go 7-1 at home this year
  25. minny would sing owens. GB would sign him if favre would come back because of it. i could see hotlanta signing him, and he might put a team like Pitts over the top. he'd also tear it up in chicago. i wonder if the ravens still want him.
