  1. I think that today is a day that all Bills fans should feel good about.

    In my opinion, Nix has done a great job as a GM. Believe me when I say I know you can't look at the season and say "what if," but with that being said, if you look at the bills 2012 season, we certainly appear to be right on the doorstep of greatness. As hard as it may be to believe, we were really only 4 plays away from winning the AFC east. Buckle your seat belt for a few "ifs."

    If CJ doesn't fumble that ball going into the endzone against the Patriots, but instead scores a TD;

    if Fitz somehow throws a TD on the last play against the Patriots in foxboro;

    if our D stops the titans on their last drive;

    and if our D stops the rams on their last drive;

    were 10-6, the patriots are 10-6, and we win the division.

    I know that seems ludacris and far-fetched, but it just goes to show that the difference between 12-4 and 6-10 isn't that drastic.

    So, with that being said, you look at today, and it's easier to imagine someone like Schottenheime or Cowher coming to take the reigns. Couple that with even a mediocre starting qb, and the Bills seem to be on the fast track to being relavant again. I hope.

    Fine line between "doorstep and doormat.

    As for those 4 plays away, you do realize the same argument can be made in some of the teams" wins". AZ immediately comes to mind.

  2. I am glad you are not GM.

    If you draft one in the first round you expect him to be your starter. Why draft one on the 2nd and 3rd after that? Those are potential starters too and instead you guarantee you're drafting two backups that will never play and may not even dress.

    Also instead of developing one guy (which is hard enough to do) You want to develop 3? good luck.

    Yeah, dumb GM's draft for this ...The smart ones trade.

  3. I knew that this game would be as ugly as a troll. I knew that watching Russell Wilson run around and make plays on the Bills D like a little Hobbit would make me angry. Especially since I wanted the team draft him over our butter fingers WR. So instead I watched the Hobbit, which did not let me down like the Bills do. At least this will hopefully get Mr. screenpass, Galley, canned.

    I watched a Hobbit today,too.

    I give it 4 passes down!

  4. Sometimes you have to get worse before you get better. The team Buddy inherited wasn't the team that played the year before (that went 6-10). The best player from the year before (Aaron Shobel) retired. The top receiver from that year (TO) was not resigned. Plus, we went in a completely different direction on defense. The offense got better, the defense got worse. Now it's starting to look like both sides are getting up to speed. There was always the question of whether this defense would gel in the first year. We also had a brutal schedule to start the season. I'm always optimistic, but all things considered, my expectations of next season are much higher than they were for this season.

    Always NEXT YEAR...oh well, we'll get em then, or the year after, or eventually at some point in the future,right? This years schedule had "winning season" written all over it. To come away .500 or below is "brutal".

    Hope next years schedule is not as "brutal"...oh wait

  5. Well, boohoo puppydog. Equally annoyed at your constant pot shots and heavy handed way you attempt to counter anybody who doesn't share your same point of view. And yes all Fitz haters want an elite QB(and I want one also) because an average Fitz isn't good enough to them.

    So you have something in common with "Fitzhaters". See YA'LL ,it is a small world after all!

  6. At least someone remembers our O-line is in tatters. Not that a good O-line is needed in the NFL. Good coaching and QB play can "adjust" for the lack of blocking by sprouting wings and flying over defenders.

    PTR

    So should we draft O-linemen this year?

    Or just have our current group "adjust" by sprouting armour so they never again can be injured?

  7. That pic cracks me up. Anyway, i like Chan and supported him but he's lost me. He looks and sounds more like grandpa everyday. Some National media are now calling him Andy Griffith. It's time to move on.

    Andy Griffith and the Mayberry Bills... Nix can be Goober and Wanny seems like an Otis Campbell.

    Shazam!!
