  1. Stop Frank Gore. Make Alex Smith throw the ball. Adjust tthe effing Defense if needed. Our O is better then the Jets O. Fitz just needs to not turn the ball over.

SF has te same plan: Stop Cj/FJ. Make Fitz throw the (short) ball. There D is better than the bills D, so no adjustments necessary.

Just can't have Alex Smith commit any TO.

  2. Gailey is correct. His team, especially his defense, plays passively. They play football as if it's a sport solely played by X's and O's; it's not. Not only must you execute a game plan, but you must physically intimidate/dominate your opponent to win consistently. Kyle Williams felt he had to pump the D up for KC, and it worked. Unfortunately, the Bills lack that innate physical mentality, so someone has to create it. In fact, Mario epitomizes this personality of the Bills' D: all of the talent in the world, but he doesn't create any fear in the opponent. Put a mauler in front of him, and you essentially nuetralize him.

Where's the physically intimidating D Wanny had with Dallas? That's what I'd like to see!

It's not Chan's defense. The D belongs soley to DW and Gailey is fine with that.

And as for mental toughness, Gailey may believe that is what's needed, but he also stated he had no idea how to accomplish that or he would have already done it.

  3. Not just showing loyalty to his subordinates, but maintaining team unity. Chan has to be the rock right now. If the players see him panic or looking to blame others he loses the locker room. "You dog one of us, you dog all of us" still applies, and it includes Chan.

    PTR

Is it ok to dog them when they play like dogs?

  4. This is bad. Fitz really is not seeing the field. i have not been to games but i have noticed that he is not seeing enough.

He also has trouble with passing through the o line. Had a few tipped.

I've seen why SJ is frustrated since Jets game.

somethin' aint right between them and thats just from my tv. body language tells alot too.

i hope they kiss and make  up before they go against SF and AZ

...but,no tongue. That just complicates things.

  5. Umm, the thread was about the defense. Nix did what most fans would have done to try and fit it. What would you have done? A lot of times people like to jsut criticize without coming up with a solution. Because I would have done everything Nix did. I'm flat out shocked the defense is so bad. But that's not on Nix IMO.

Duh, that was what I said...about the defense AS A WHOLE. Not that Nix brouhgt in Mario and now MARI-O is underperforming. I.m happy you are simpatico with Mr. Nix, but he's no buddy of mine.

  6. Hell no but how is this Nix fault? He addressed what was the biggest needs of the team and the players are not performing. But I just hated hindsight threads. Everyone wanted Mario.

And I hoped to have a 3-1 start. 2-2 is a game off. I just have to accept the PAts game is always a loss. But this is on the players, especially the defense. Yesterday was completely embarrassing.

This thread was/is about the defense as a whole. Go back and look YOU are the only one to mention mario.

0-2 in div. is more telling than 2-2 ,imo.

  7. I have to say that I've been a pretty big Chan supporter...I like the guy...Can't help it...

    But... ;)

I'm not sure why this comment pissed me off so much today...But in his interview this AM on WGR Gailey said he had never been in a Game like that...A Game that swung like that so dramatically...And I was thinking...Are you freaking kidding me?...Up 21-0 at NE...Just last year Chan...And we end up losing 49-21...And you've never been in a Game like that? It was 4 freaking Games ago...When I hear that I wonder...I REALLY wonder what we have in Chan...NIce guy? Yes...Decent Offensive mind? Yes again...Head Coach that is going to light a fire under these underachieving bums? Maybe not so much... B-)

Wish Howard would have followed up on that question.

  8. The early pick on the deep ball was all Fitz. The other one when the game was close was a tipped ball, that doesn't count any more than Brady's pick 6 off Dareus' head last year. When your down by 21 in the fourth quarter and throwing it all over the lot, picks during that garbage time don't matter. His 3 early TD throws and the bomb to Fred were big league throws. I know most Bills fans want the second coming of Jimbo, but Fitz is not the problem.

Good post. The fumbles killed two opportunities to build or change momentum in a huge way. Is Fitz a top 10 QB? No. Is he the problem with the Bills yesterday? No again. He threw one bad ball (the long ball pick to Graham) when the game was competitive. The RBs made the turnovers that first changed the game (CJ) and then sealed it (Fred) for the Pats. Fred did the same thing vs. Jets at home last year. Stop it with the Throw Fitz under the bus garbage.

Below average arm? He's not top 10, but his arm is average at worst. and he finds the end zone with it. Inside the 40, he may be the best passer in the league. Inside the red zone, he is.

Welcome to the NFL where parity rules. Turnovers decide games, not players and schemes. Get em, you win, give em, you lose.

Where is our parity in our own division?

  9. No. The idea behind the thread has always been that people have their superstitions, so something they may have done different can affect how the team performs.

An example : I have a Gabe Northern jersey. So far it is 2-0 when I wear it to a week 17 game against Indy at Buffalo. So the next time we play Indy at Buffalo in week 17, I'll wear it. But no other time because I don't want to make it an unlucky jersey. I already have enough of those.

No, it's backwards. Bills are not good enough to be superstitious about.

  10. Ah, more wishful thinking. Bills fans... Hoping, hoping hoping. I like our stability at QB. He threw one bad ball. Let it go. The CJ and Fred fumbles killed us.

How does one throw ONE bad ball, but end up with FOUR int's and more than ONE under/over throw to wide open receivers?

    Special math, I guess,

  11. One stat NO ONE can twist is his W-L record as HC of the Bills. And if you want to get real "twisted" look at the # of wins

he has within his own division.

Why do I continue to waste time on these pretenders and more importantly, why do I expect them to produce different

(positive) results. When ALL THEY DO IS LOSE AND THEN SAY IT"S FIXABLE...

  12. Ever feel crazy - Like there is something wrong with you

All the time! But then, I am an artist, who isn't famous, we just had a baby 5 months ago, I am almost 53 and have a 31 year old GF. I am living in a very foriegn land, I am unemployed and am not even going to mention how long that has been. And I watch the Bills at ungoddly hours to make me feel better, on streams that may or may not be affecting the preformance of my computer. Oh and we might get another flood this year.

Some people have all the luck!
