  1. as one already pointed out we were just a few plays away from being a 9-7 or 10-6 team last year.

Loss to Atlanta in OT because of 2 fumbles

Loss to NE because of a dropped first down pass

Loss to Cleveland because of a QB change mod game

Loss to the Jets because Rogers was toasted more than a bagel

Loss to the Chiefs because of a QB we didn't expect to play

Being down to our 3rd QB in 2 games made all the difference in the world. If EJ stays healthy we win at least 2 more of those games. If Stevie and Chandler don't drop passes and fumble the ball away that's another 2. And if we don't have a major liability in at CB we win a 3rd.

5 games right there off the top of my head. Came down to 1 play really in each one. Care to argue that 1 stud player or healthy play from your QB won't make a difference?

Were their any games the Bills Won, that they could of/should of lost if not but for a few plays?

  2. This thread is frustrating. The bottom line from my perspective is there is not enough to make a decision on EJ. He played 10 games, was hurt three times, and missed as a rookie part of training camp. Now if he goes through OTA's, camp, and plays the season and still has erratic play with poor decisions, I'm happy to jump on the bandwagon next year for drafting a new QB. Now if he makes progress, shows improvement in his play, and starts taking a step forward, then I'd rather use top picks with surrounding him with talent.

The beginning of this thread is pessimistic with asking why we'll fail. I'd rather see a thread of why we'll win. It's May so my belief is we go 9-7 to 10-6, against a tough schedule. We're not going to lose all of those games at the end of the year. If I were to take a gloom and doom attitude, why even watch the Bills? That's depressing.

I say we have a heck of a draft, Kiko kills it on the weak side, Spikes hammers RB up the middle, especially against the Pats, Mario has a great season with edge penetration, and Kyle collapses the pocket. EJ with the time to develop, moves forward, has more weapons with whoever we draft, SJ comes back as he is healthy, and we get one to two decent linemen in the draft.

How do you think the "gloom and doom attitude" was born?..when was the last non-depressing season the Bills had??
  3. I'm pleased. One less spot to worry about.

Chandler had a couple rough spots this season with a couple of bad drops and being tragically misused in the beginning of the season. (I thought I was going to break my TV whenever we sent him out into the flat for a 0-1 yard pickup)

He can't juke my trash can, but he has good hands and gets open in the middle of the field. Seriously, he's not a run-after-catch kind of guy, why flair him out into the flat for a 1 yard gain???? Thankfully they stopped throwing to him on that route.

But he's a competent Tight-End and better than what we've had in YEARS.

I don't like it when my "good hands" TE has "bad drops".

  4. Ive been a Bills fan since I was 4 yrs old, granted im only 24 but i live and breath Buffalo and i always have hope. I grew up in NJ and moved after 12 years to Chicago. It doesnt matter where you are from, you have to billieve, Without us fans, we wouldn't have a team here anymore.

Ps I was born in 1990 to a NY Giants fan of a father and a Cowboys fan of a mother, it doesnt matter the odds we just have to keep billieving

So every year since you were 9 yrs old, you have expected playoffs? Man, this team really can (heart) string us along. To the OP I have to go with UNDER.
  5. That Falcon team with QB Matt Ryan, WR Roddy white, RB Steven Jackson, future HoF TE Tony Gonzalez is a lot better team then their record indicates.

EJ didn't turn the ball over, and he didn't lose that game for the Bills. Bad luck lost that game today IMO. Shi ...stuff happens.

I'm not gonna cry over this loss because I realize they are a few players away from being a very, very good team

Really? "A few players away..." translates into how many years?

  6. I ask not to trash Lewis' performance nor to look back on the past for anything more then going forward to next week. Lewis was pretty banged up today, and definitely struggling to keep composure but played with admirable heart.

Jeff Tuel is on this list out of fairness.

Whine that there are too many questions if you want, but I am curious what errybody thanks. Thinks for your time.

Actually, I wish there were more options...better options. Why can't we "trash" Lewis' performance, you got to defend it?
