  1. But I love how the crowd breaks out into boos everytime the Cheats make a pick.
  2. Now they just need somebody to consistently get the ball to them.
  3. Glad we didn't pick DeShawn Jackson.......he's wearing sunglasses inside his house. I don't know whay that bothers me. He's either hiding red eyes or he thinks it looks cool.
  4. Cinci just took Jerome Simpson, WR......over all the other "name" receivers still on the board. Other people have already said it.....it's a wierd day for WR
  5. That's the problem....300+ commercials. But tomorrow is going to be the big day for us. The better we do in the later rounds the better off the team is.
  6. I think 40 times are a joke. Not one top NFL receiver has to worry about how fast he runs the 40. It's whether or not he gets open...... No one's going to care how fast Hardy's 40 time was, as long as he gets open
  7. I think the reason most teams passed on a WR in the first round is that it takes longer for a WR to develop, and in this era the first round pick has to contribute immediately. Although with Hardy I think he can contribute right now in the red zone. Throw it up and let him go rebounding!
  8. I think the AFC east personnel guys know what they're talking about when they say: "You can't have enough good corners" I don't think you necessarily need lockdown corners, but you've got to have enough quality guys when you go to the nickel, which is usually on second down....
  9. Good. Now, they just need to get him in an NFL weightroom. Looks like he needs to get stronger legs. So far, so good...........
  10. ...that's why we're fans and not professional football people.
  11. I'll take it...........why not trade back up? They have the extra picks to do it.
  12. Everyone wants a corner who can intercept everything thrown his way, but guys like that are rare, and they get picked higher than 11. But if you can get a guy with the intelligence and athletic ability to shut down at least one of the other team's wideouts, then you can free up others to double-team the top wideout. Plus, I didn't think any of the wideouts on this year's board were worth it at 11.
  13. A reasonable pick, with Randy Moss in the division. And they can still get a wideout later. Not bad at all. But as always, the later rounds are what really determines the success of a draft. Day 2 is going to be key.
  14. Love it! I was there for that game too. But what I remember most about that game was how someone went out and bought a whole bunch of NFL trading cards, pulled out all the Bryan Cox cards, and put them in the men's bathroom urinals for everyone to pee on. They were in every men's bathroom in our section! That took outstanding effort. If I ever find out who the Bills fan was that thought that fantastic idea up, I will send him a case of beer!
  15. Hi, djh! Nice to meet you. Unfortunately I've added you to my ignore list, so our introduction will be short.........
  16. Sunk to what? I just don't understand all the lamenting and hand-wringing over the perception that modern day athletes are somehow morally inferior, yet at the same time espousing fantasy ideas about the athletes of the "good old days". Sorry, they're one and the same.
  17. OK, I'm officially on the bandwagon now. I want him to start so I might get the chance to hear Madden say his name. Now that would be funny!
  18. It's already been said, but who's going to throw to them?
  19. If we found out about it in a newspaper article, I'm sure the front office already knows and in a lot more detail. I guess it's like any other player though. Most players have to constantly deal with old injuries. Remember, Thurman had major reconstructive knee surgery when he was in college. Worked out pretty well for him.
  20. I was listening to the Saturday ESPN radio show with John Clayton. He said that Crazy Al himself is now handling all the contract negotiations and signings. The GM and the head coach (whom he's been trying to force out) have little input on who's being signed. Hell, maybe Al will stand next to his "head coach" with a set of headphones during the games! I love Crazy Al. The Raiders are going to suck for quite a while.
  21. Maybe because: A) The people who wrote the "report" didn't do their homework, or B) They think we're going to draft a WR.
  22. That might be a big deal to us, but Jordan losing 300K is like one of us losing $30. Sounds like you live in Vegas. I've been there a few times and heard stories about Saudi Oil Sheiks losing a million dollars on a bet and not even blinking an eye. On my vacation to vegas about 10 years ago, my wife and I saw a guy lose 26 thousand in Baccarat, and it didn't seem to bother him at all. At the time that was my entire salary for one year! Amazing.

  24. I think Willis just misses that thuggin' and buggin' thang that is the city of Miami, because it's just not enough to have an incredibly high salaried job and to be catered to by an entire city. It's more about being catered to by the right kind of peeps, ya'll know what I'm sayin'? Unforutnatly, Willis is going to find out that what he does for a living is actually a real job and that his source of income and adoration can dry up quite quickly.
